About this cottage rental
Traditional and charming country house, situated in the beautiful hills of the Algarve, but only a few steps away from the city of Loulé.
This house was our grandparents and has been restored using local craftsmen and turning it into a charming country house, ideal for your holiday on the sunny Algarve with family and friends.
The house has a spacious lounge and dining room with high wooden ceilings, corner fireplace and open kitchen.
Room with two lovely iron beds and country views and bedroom with double bed facing south with access to the terrace both with air conditioning.
The south facing terrace is ideal for sunbathing and barbecues, offering dining areas, jacuzzi and seating areas with sofas and beds where you can have a cool drink and relax.
The garden also has grass areas, fruit trees and plants of the region.
If the ideal of your holiday is to stay away from the confusion, but at the same time be close to the Algarve coast and all that it has to offer, this home is perfect for you.
This country house is just three kilometers from the center of Loulé and its famous market and a 15-minute drive from the beaches.
This home offers privacy and has a lot of ground in engaging with various fruit trees in the region, such as orange, lemon, carob, fig, almond, loquat, pomegranate, etc., in the summer you can delight to choose and pick almonds, figs or loquat trees ...
This beautiful cottage is only half an hour from Faro Airport and ten minutes from the coast and beaches. Despite its rustic charm, have all modern conveniences and fully equipped kitchen.
For those who enjoy a good barbecue and dine out on warm summer evenings, there are plenty of outdoor furniture and plenty of room to enjoy your meals outdoors. During the day, relax in the large garden, cool off in the Jacuzzi and enjoy the warm sunshine of the Algarve.
There is also a fireplace to keep you cozy during the winter evenings with firewood provided. If you love nature, you can wake up to the sweet sounds of sparrows and other species wandering through the garden and who like to nest in carob.
The house has plenty of room to park the cars and is ideal for small children who can play safely in the garden, we can also provide beds for children or a travel cot if needed. The house is all at the same level and therefore suitable for people with reduced mobility or visual problems. The windows and doors of the rooms have double glazing. The house has shutters on all windows to keep cool the interior, making it safe at night or when away from home.
We have Wi-Fi access, satellite TV, jacuzzi heating (if required) and private parking.
You can make beautiful walks and visit several places in Barrocal, where you can find good restaurants just a few kilometers away.
If you like more excitement take a leap to the Marina de Vilamoura or Quinta do Lago just 10 minutes by car and there you can find excellent restaurants, bars and luxury shops. Then take a stroll through the golden sandy beaches or take a boat trip along the magnificent Algarve coast.
In February you can find the cheerful and typical almond blossom and spring between April and May the beautiful flowers of the field, the Barrocal is one of the most productive ecosystems for flora and fauna in Europe you can find wild flowers in the mountains.
Loulé is the nearest town where you can stroll through the historic center and visit the local farmers market every Saturday.
The beaches of the Algarve are among the world's best, however, and if you like to swim in fresh water or enjoy a picnic in a beautiful location, the sources charming in Alte are only ten minutes away, with direct clean water from an underground spring .

Beautiful outdoor space with sun and shaded areas for everyone to enjoy. Fantastic addition of Aircon for the bedrooms. Wonderfully relaxing jacuzzi. A short drive or cheap UBER (less than 5 euros) into Loulé with lots of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. We love it here and will be back. Owner was easy to communicate with and made us feel at home.

We had a wonderful holiday at the cottage. So very relaxing and such a lovely setting. Helena was a fantastic host and you can feel the love and care that has been put into the property, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. Fabulous location so close to everything and yet so peaceful with a countryside feel.

It was fantastic that Helena allowed us to stay for five weeks at her rural property. We were glad to get to know her father and "Yastá" (I do not remember her name), who came every week to clean and change linens and towels.
Her father looked at the big big garden in the meantime.
The house has very high ceiling, which made it very special and spacious.
We can recommend this rural house to everyone loving the special atmosphere and who does not love to stay in the middle of turist area. Nontheless, the ride to different beaches took no more than 15 minutes!
We also enjoyed the fruits, end of May just abricots.. So many that we cooked marmelade!
The kitchen is very well equipped as well as the bathroom is.Thank you, dear Helena!

Fantastic stay
We had an amazing time in this traditional home. Helena is an excellent host, very warm and helpful person. The location of the house is very good to visit all the highlights and close to many beautiful beaches. The proximity of Loulé is very convenient for groceries, restaurants, take away,... The jacuzzi was spotlessly clean and a nice extra together with the outside shower. The only things we missed were a dishwasher and an actual shower in the bathroom. We would definitely come back and recommend 100%.

Great vacation near Faro
Villa is located just outside Loule town. It is a great base to explore Algarve and rest on one of many beaches nearby. The property has a jacuzzi which is a great alternative for swimming in ocean. It has all necessary equipment and more. There is plenty of space to spend time, cook meals and enjoy vacation.
The owner is really helpful and very responsive. She gave us a good tour and took time to explain everything and recommend places to see.
We really enjoyed our week there!

This is a wonderful property, well maintained and at a great location. Everything is close within 15-30 minutes drive. Great base location to explore Algarve. Helena made us feel welcome and maintain great communication during our stay. My only recommendation is to place a hanger on the wall for the shower head and an extra towel hanger in the bathroom; maybe new towels for the bathroom. After exploring Algarve, this was the perfect relax retreat, enjoying the jacuzzi and all the outdoor space this house has to offer.

Great property, relax retreat!
This is a wonderful property, well maintained and at a great location. Everything is close within 15-30 minutes drive. Great base location to explore Algarve. Helena made us feel welcome and maintain great communication during our stay. My only recommendation is to place a hanger on the wall for the shower head and an extra towel hanger in the bathroom; maybe new towels for the bathroom. After exploring Algarve, this was the perfect relax retreat, enjoying the jacuzzi and all the outdoor space this house has to offer.

Nice and calm property
Everything’s like on the photos, we spent an excellent holiday in Loulé! The house is very clean and perfect for a calm stay, and the location is good to be able to see all parts of Algarve. Helena is very nice and helpful. I’d definitely recommend this place!

Séjour à Loulé été 2021
Nous avons passé 2 semaines à 4 (couple + 2 grands enfants) cet été, la maison est très agréable, le jacuzzi très relaxant et les figues du jardin sont délicieuses. L'endroit est à la campagne très calme avec de belles plages à 20 minutes en voiture. La propriétaire est très sympathique et a répondu à toutes nos questions ou attentes. Wonderful stay in the Algarve, great house, great owners 10/10
We had a great stay in this wonderful house. A few kilometers away from the really busy Algavre coast, in a beautiful environment near Loulé. The accomodation is excellent, has a authentic feel and provides every level of comfort you need. Owner Helena is very communicative and enthousiastic, she provides great tips for visiting in the Algarve and the surroundings of the house. Would recommend this greatly!

Lovely Holiday
Helena was a great host and the house is even nicer than on the fotos. We had a great stay and loved it to have breakfast on the teracce or just read in the garden. We would recommend the house without hesitation.

Nous avons apprécié le verger extérieur qui nous a permis de profiter de fruits frais tous les jours.
Malgré un couac l 'arrivée, Héléna est une personne très agréable et prenant soin du bien être de ses hôtes (elle a même apporté un jouet et bouée à mes enfants).

Relax in the countryside
We had 8 days here in August 2019 and it’s a fantastic property. It’s a great location for exploring Loule, the beaches and north into the hills. It’s a really quiet and relaxing location and the hot tub was perfect during the day and evening. Would highly recommend

Very well presented and spotlessly clean cottage
We stayed here for 13 nights. On arrival we were welcomed by Helena who was fantastic from start to finish. Helena was very friendly and helpful and had great communication skills throughout our stay.
The cottage was spotlessly clean inside and out and very well presented. It was equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
The location was excellent,less than a five minute drive into Loule and only a fifteen minute drive to the local Trafal beach.
As a family of five,it was a comfortable size with plenty of space to lounge around on those hot days. Air conditioned bedrooms was a lovely bonus.
There were plenty of various fruit tree`s around the garden which the kid`s loved to pick there own fruit and almond`s from.
Cleaning and communication throughout was exceptional and would recommend staying here to all.

Dieses Haus kann man nur weiterempfehlen!
Alles war sehr sauber und wirklich schön. Die Lagae ist sehr gut und ruhig. Eigener Parkplatz vor dem Haus vorhanden.

Tout était parfait !
La maison, que nous avons trouvée très facilement, est extrêmement bien située en Algarve. A 3mn en voiture de Loulé, de son super marché et des belles halles du marché, pour le côté pratique... Pour ceux qui souhaitent découvrir l'arrière pays ou se balader de Tavira à Lagos, son emplacement permet de rayonner en peu de temps.
Helena est une exquise personne. A notre arrivée elle a été très accueillante et soucieuse de notre bien être, prenant soin de nous indiquer quelques adresses et informations pratiques. Sa maison a été rénovée avec beaucoup de goût. En parfait état, elle est confortable, alliant charme et fonctionnalité, et offrant de beaux espaces. Les chambres sont climatisées ... Les espaces extérieurs ont été très bien pensés et réalisés. Tout est en parfait état. Le jacuzzi était ultra agréable. Tout était dans un excellent état de propreté et rien ne manquait au niveau des équipements. La maison et ses extérieurs ne subissent aucun vis à vis. Helena a été une propriétaire délicate et discrète. Nous accueillant avec fruits, bouteille de vin, etc...Elle n'est repassée (après nous avoir prévenus ) qu' une seule fois durant notre séjour, quelques minutes, pour l'entretien du jacuzzi.
Merci à vous Helena, votre accueil et votre maison nous ont permis de passer d'excellentes vacances ressourçantes.

Au calme!
La maison est vraiment très agréable, belle, spacieuse et très bien équipée.
La seule chose qui, pour moi, manquait... un lave-vaisselle, j'avoue qu'en vacance c'est appréciable.
La propriétaire a été charmante et attentionnée.
Nous étions avec 2 petites de 2 ans et je les laissais vadrouiller sans aucun problème et sans inquiétude.
La maison est proche de Loulé, de son marché et du supermarché.
Nous avons profité de la plage (Vale do Lobo à 15mn), des balades dans les terres, S. Bras de Alportel, et de balades nocturnes à Olhao, Quarteira et Faro à 30mn de voiture environ.
Nous sommes également restés à la maison et avons énormément apprécié le jacuzzi! Pas besoin de sortir et d'affronter la foule quand on peut passer un moment tranquille entre jacuzzi et jardin.
C'est une maison dans laquelle je retournerais avec plaisir et sans hésitation!

Charmante maison proche de Loulé et loin de la fou
Accueil très chaleureux et des attentions (vin, gâteaux, fleurs...) de la propriétaire qui montrent son envie de faire plaisir à ses hôtes. La maison est très bien restaurée et décorée avec goût. Le Jacuzzi permet de bien se rafraichir. Loulé est tout proche avec marché poisson mais aussi supermarché. Les plages sont à 20mn en voiture et nous avons beaucoup aimé praia da faleisa. Si vous cherchez un séjour typique et loin de la foule vous y êtes.
