Alright stay

Okay for an overnight stay close to town.

We were really looking forward to having a movie night before doing machu picchu and pur tv wasnt working so we asked for someone to come look and fix it, we were told this was impossible. The hotel was quiet so we asked to change rooms and she said it wasnt possible either. The room was very basic and pillows were very thin.

Hôtel très bien placé, soigné et propre. Les chambres sont parfaites. Très bon petit déjeuner. Ils ont même pu garder nos bagages jusqu'au lendemain (sans garder la chambre).

Everything else besides the noise was good.

The property is very loud and everything echos through rooms. We were on the middle floor and could hear everything above us and unfortunately the group was leaving around 4 am. Did not get a good nights sleep. If staying I would recommend the 3rd floor. We had a bad experience.

Hot water in the shower and warm rooms!!!

Hot shower in the shower is available!!!! This is a great advantage for any hostel in Peru. The water is really-really hot!!! Warm in the room!!! This is another great advantage for hostel in Peru. In the night it drops to 10C (50F) but still it is warm in the room. You don't have to sleep in socks like everywhere in Peru. The hostel is very new, they changed location in June 2023 and since it's new, everything is extremely clean and new. All furniture and facilities. Staff is very friendly even though they didn't speak any English. Great location, right near the main square. Huge value for low money!!!

since the hostel is very new, they didn't put yet the shower curtain. This is a very minor thing though.

Location by the center of town and roof terrace are great.

Hostel had changed location so photos didn’t match. Very basic facilities in new location. Essentially just a very simple room with little else to offer.

Great stay

Wonderful location right in the heart of the town, steps away from the main archeological sites. The hosts were very kind and even gave us an umbrella so we could do some exploring in the rain. The bed we slept in was honestly the largest bed we had ever seen and it did not disappoint after two great nights of sleep. Our host also recommended a wonderful restaurant and we had a great stay overall.

Thanks to super friendly and flexible staff we had a great time in wonderful Ollantaytambo. The accommodation is close to Inka ruins. Its nice, clean and cheap - garden is a great bonus.

Affordable stay with big private rooms

Quiet, convenient location, lovely garden view, big rooms with showers/bathrooms. The parfait with breakfast was delicious.

It felt like small inquiries were inconvenient to staff.

Unbeatable value for a mostly comfy room next to the archeological site

Amazing value and location. It is literally right next to the archeological sight. The room is very large especially given the cost. You are usually looking at dormitory style hostels at this price range. Even comes with free breakfast!

Hot water is limited. There is only one knob and if you turn it too far even just a bit, it'll turn cold. Don't turn it enough and no water comes out at all. The only way you can get hot water is have the pressure set very low and you will end up cold anyways. Not really an issue but host does not speak Spanish. Just something to be aware of.

The location was convenient to the main town( which is not that big), it felt safe and easy walk to the train station.

No hot water and the doors were locked to the outside. While trying to leave early for my train ride, I was almost late because I couldn't get out until I called out for at least 10 minutes.

Good price for the room

The rooms are exactly what they look like in the pictures, no surprises. The staff is helpful, especially Alexander (he was wonderful). Good location, convenient to anything. The breakfast is probably not worth the extra charge unless you do eat VERY light in the morning

The lights outside the rooms are on sensors so if anyone walks by at night your room gets lit up

Disappointing

Location was great, 2 steps from the ruins.

The staff seems to be from a different planet. Direct communication was very difficult even though we understand basic Spanish and we would use Google translate for what we don't understand. We booked a room with breakfast included. On multiple occasions, they tried to make some extra money from said breakfast, either saying it's only included for adults and not the child, or that it only included some tea and cofee and anything extra needs to be payed. Also, it took more than 40 minutes to be served, on every day, so take that into account if you are on a schedule. The room and bathroom were dark, cold and dirty. There was no wardrobe. Bathroom had mold on the walls. There was no hot water and, on our last day, no water at all for a while. Our room was just below a hallway with wooden floor, so it was quite noisy. I am aware this is a low budget accommodation, we generally travel on a low budget and we did not expect luxury. But we always expect a minimum of cleanliness and common sense. We did not find either there, it was one or the worst places we stayed.
