Fijn hotel in Hartje Gent

De locatie hartje Gent was geweldig, te midden van alle hoofd bezienswaardigheden. Daarnaast is het een leuk hotel met een zwembad.

De kamers zijn wel aan een upgrade toe, althans de douche leek nieuw, maar de vloerbedekking etc zag er vies uit.

Prima basic hotel op een prachtlocatie. Maar ook hier de 'hou-je-ligstoel-bezet-ziekte'

Omdat het warm was, was het zwembad een echte bonus. De kamer was qua grootte prima, goeie douche, een apart toilet en fijn ook dat er airco was. Voldoende handdoeken en een prima ontbijt.

-Heel vervelend dat het raam maar een klein stukje open kon -de bedden kraakten en piepten, te slappe kussens -heel jammer dat het personeel niets doet aan het bezet houden van ligstoelen. Die zijn er niet zoveel en sommige mensen houden de stoelen een dag bezet zonder aanwezig te zijn.

Televisie werkte niet. Werd meermaals gerapporteerd doch zonder gevolg. Magnetische kaarten van kamerdeur herhaaldelijk stuk.

Fijne ligging, vriendelijke gasten aan het onthaal maar beetje oubollige kamers.

We gingen in de ochtend trouwen aan de overkant van het hotel. Het personeel was hiervan op de hoogte en had de kamer helemaal met hartjes versierd. Dat werd heel erg geapprecieerd. Ondanks wat tekortkomingen, zelfs buiten hun directe wil deden ze toch erg hun best om het ons naar de zin te maken.

Bij aankomst hoorden we dat de televisie niet zou werken. We hebben ons er niet al te veel aan gestoord maar het was toch beetje hinderlijk - vooral als je niet goed kan slapen. Ook het feit dat er geen glazen in de kamer stonden vonden we een beetje spijtig.

Superb location, right in the historic centre of Ghent. The staff were so welcoming, so friendly and very helpful indeed. Our room was luxurious and the beds were very comfortable. I don't normally sleep well in hotel beds, but I did here. The room was very clean and the toiletries were really nice. The breakfast was great too. Easy to park, and the car park was fine, not too cramped if your car is normal sized, and you have spatial awareness and know how to drive and manoeuvre it correctly.

The only thing is that there is a rather limited menu at the bar. Don't misunderstand me, the food we did have was good quality, and the bar staff are lovely. There are plenty of great places to eat nearby, but after a long journey it would be nice to have the option of a proper meal on the first evening. It isn't a criticism, more a suggestion that it would be great to have more food available in the evening.

too hot in the room,

good location, nice reception staff, beautiful common areas of the hotel

it was way too hot in the room and there was no way to change the heating option (receptionist said "open the window") very noisy (people screaming in the street) even with the windows closed we could hear everything, we did not sleep well at all !

Fantastic location

Lovely hotel, spacious rooms and fantastic pool. The location was perfect to explore Ghent.

The hotel is located in a pedestrian only zone, but as the hotel did not notify us of this, we drove around for ages trying to find other routes. The pillows were awful and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The cooked breakfast was cold and not worth the money we paid.

Perfect for a good night’s stay if you want to explore Gent.

Whenever I go to Gent, I like to stay here. Quality is consistent and price is okay.

A bit dated. Two doors in the room were very hard to open. Locked myself out and in a couple of times :) Bath kept emptying.

Location was perfect, outside swimming pool a plus. Breakfast was OK.

I sent an email to the manager and he didn’t reply on the complain till now

the location

I had a problem with the room electricity as it keep to make short cut and the light kept went off more than 5 times with only using the room light without using plugging any appliances except for the TV on one time. I have contacted the reception and they kept open the electric box to turn on the room main switch, then I even took the electric room key to do it my own until they resolve this issue which is not appropriate but I wanted to save the day as my kids was afraid from this situation. The reception told me that they will bring an electrician to fix the problem and I waited from almost 4 hours but he didn't show up and the same situation keeps repeated and when I contacted the reception they told me that the electrician will not come and they didn't inform me until I asked. after that, they told me that they will try to move me from this room and they will check as the hotel was fully booked and I shall wait for them but no one called me again as their was someone who booked a room but didn't show up, that what they said.
