Beau séjour à Oleron

L’emplacement incroyable et les repas d’une grande qualité (le buffet de la mer est épatant)

Restaurant pas à la hauteur

L'emplacement correspond à ce que l'on attend

Le personnel en restauration est une cata intégrale : jamais d'excuses quand quelque chose ne va pas et en plus ils font la tête... Pour un plat de viande rouge : incapable de la cuire saignante correctement : première assiette servie crue (mais vraiment crue... Le serveur ne regarde pas l'assiette qu'il sert certainement...), donc je demande de cuire un peu plus : pas de réponse mais il reprend l'assiette sans un mot..., au retour : la viande est saignante mais immangeable, du plastique. Je l'indique poliment lorsqu'il retire l'assiette une fois que j'ai terminé ce qu'il y a autour (légumes corrects) : idem aucun mot, même pas le simple "excusez nous", rien... Triste. Les serveurs savent pousser à la consommation lors de la prise de commande en vous proposant de l'eau plate ou du vin, et ne vous affichant que les plats a la carte et non les menus qui sont sur un autre support mais ne sont pas impliqués dans le reste du service... Dommage pour le standing auquel on s'attend. La chambre : le ménage a été fait très rapidement, tellement qu'aux pieds du lit il reste une pince à cheveux des précédents clients accompagné de poussière, la salle de bain : il manque un morceau du robinet... Les 4 étoiles sont loin dans le passé pour ce Novotel. Pas un seul moment, au restaurant ou au départ à la réception on m'a demandé si cela s'était bien passé, peut être pour ne pas avoir de retour négatif, c'est plus simple du coup. Vraiment pour un Novotel... On n'y est pas.

Stunning location and beautiful views

The location of the property is absolutely amazing. Right on the beachfront. Beautiful views.

The rooms themselves are a bit dated and could use a refresh.

A great break on the sea

Beautiful setting. Great walks...the welcome my dogs got, the staff so helpful, the food

The breakfasts were amazing ate too much so now have to start a regime lol

Beautiful beach & thalasso holiday

Beautiful beach setting, we loved the thalasso as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We traveled with our two dogs. The pet supplement of 20 Euro per dog per night is high, but we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's offer of a pet menu of meat and vegetables once a day, included in this charge. Our dogs loved it and it made us feel welcome as pet owners.

The building is a bit out of date and could use some renovation.

Excellent hotel

Wonderful, excellent breakfast! All kind of food including fresh oysters! Beautiful position overlooking the Ocean, very nice and comfortable rooms, efficient wifi. We haven't tried the restaurant.

At check-in we were given a weekly animation program, with various activities such as aquagym etc., but most of them were not included in the hotel rate and had to be paid as extra. Well, from such a high-class hotel I would expect such activities to be free.

Lovely location great staff and facilities . Excellent value.

Room was clean and everything worked. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Staff were very relaxed and friendly. Beach location - fantastic. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Very good

The ocean view is spectacular! Well it’s not the Atlantic Ocean view but it’s still great! You see the ouster Bank when the outgoing tide is. The room is always sunny and it’s Great to enjoy it on the small balcony. Car park was very big so easy to find a parking.

You pay for the view.. the Sofa and the toilet/bath room is a bit outdate for that.

The location is amazing and the view breathtaking. Good breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Lack of à la carte choice of dinner upon arrival. Beds and bed covers need refreshment.

Amazing & peaceful seaside escape!

Amazing location at the edge of the forest reserve overlooking the estuary on the far side of Oleron. Truly wonderful location with amazing views and lovely walks along the beach and forest, very peaceful and great for a special break! The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean, it was very well set-up for Covid safety. Highly recommended!

It's a little pricey for a seaview room (we came at the end of the high season), but you pay for the location!
