Absolutely incredible and memorable stay

Let me it this way: When I go back to Zermatt, I will only look at staying at Firefly. If they are booked, I will change my vacation dates. They are that awesome! I don't know where to begin on how great this place is. I selected the hotel based on pictures and location - like proximity to the lifts and the expansiveness of the rooms. But I was a little worried as I have certainly been fooled by websites; this place is even better than it appears. We had the the Garden Suite for our group of six. The suite was very large and sunny and opened out to a nice area to eat outside. The layout was well thought out and we didn't hear people snoring in the other rooms (yes, that is a real problem with our group).Everything was perfectly clean and the rooms seemed to be built with high quality materials. The design is modern rustic (I hope that's not a contradiction) - it fits in with the rest of Zermatt . The staff was exceptional. The bartenders at Bar55 were absolute mixologists - we used the bar as a meeting place and a relaxing zone. The front desk seemed genuinely happy to help and were, indeed, very helpful. It felt like they were proud of the place and they beamed while showing us the room and amenities. Breakfast was brought in to the room on a cart and they set up a table with settings and the food/beverages, so we got to eat at the table in the room as a family, but it felt like a luxury restaurant. The staff also deserves five stars! The gym was flat out shocking in it's size - bigger and better than most hotel chains. There are multiple saunas, as in one with aromas in the steam, another with sea salt and so on. The hot tub had reclining area where you could get fairly horizontal while relaxing. The entire property was immaculately kept. I cannot recommend this property enough. I am 55 and have traveled a lot, and stayed at nice hotels all over the world. This is my favorite place.

Absolutely fantastic!!

The staff were very helpful from the minute we booked until the very end when they arranged for our luggage to meet us later at the station so we could still enjoy some more sightseeing after we checked out. The room was fantastic as well as the breakfast they set up in our room every morning. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and this wonderful place.

Exceptional

Beautiful property- spacious suite stylishly decorated and with everything you could need provided, even a backpack for outings. The location is good , just a short walk to the Matterhorn express ski lift and 10 minutes to downtown shops and restaurants. The facilities were amazing- a full gym, pool and several saunas and steam rooms for recovering from our days skiing. The staff were so helpful, making reservations for dinner and servicing our suite so beautifully daily. It was such a pleasure to come back to a perfectly made up room each day. I was told about this hotel by friends several years ago and finally got to come here after years of being unable to travel due to Covid (from Australia). It was worth the wait.

garden suite. lights on outside all night kept us awake (couldn’t close curtains bc it was warm and we needed the air from the window). bartender in the hotel bar treated us so badly we left quickly. she was soooo rude. have no idea what we could have done to make her so aggressive towards us.

Great location, extremely friendly staff, awesome room with view, very clean and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed- directions, dinner recommendations and reservations- They even sent my daughter's airpods back to us once she realized she had left them in our room making a thirteen year-old girl very happy!

We stayed in the skyloft suite and it was fabulous!! I would highly recommend to anyone going to Zermatt to consider this place. Very modern but homey. Pictures on website don't do this place justice.We went during the summer so rates are considerably lower. Expect to pay premium $$ during ski season. No restaurant on site but they will bring breakfast up to you every morning.

This property is amazing and we would definitely like to come back. The apartment had an enormous shared space, great views, and even a comfortable bed in the balcony. They set up breakfast with a table cloth and plates then whisked it away when you are done. The family had fun in the bar downstairs one evening, with pool tables, pin ball machine etc, and the staff made great recommendations for enjoying the city.

It's obviously a high price point, but was worth the splurge.
