Riconferma di una vacanza fantastica

Eravamo già stati anni fa.Immerso nella natura(abbiamo persino visto i cinghiali) piscina con panorama bellissimo del V ettore.Zona tranquillissima camere arredate con gusto e molta arte.Comodo per gite sui Sibillini e Castelluccio.A 5 minuti d auto da Montemonaco(molto carino)dove ci sono ristoranti dei quali non c è assolutamente bisogno perché qui si mangia divinamente.(Coniglio agnello primi piatti spettacolari...dall'antipasto al dolce! I ragazzi sono fantastici gentilissimi la colazione strepitosa ,con torte squisite!cosa volere di più?

Lontano dalla vita frenetica

Beh,che dire..raccomando il posto a chi è in cerca di tranquillità,di godersi la natura in tutto il suo splendore e gustare dell'ottimo cibo genuino.La colazione abbondante,torte fatte in casa,la cena ottima.Il proprietario sempre presente,mai invadente!Insomma,da rifare magari per poter sfruttare la piscina.

Enjoyed the quietness and natural beauty!

I liked the outdoor sitting areas with magnificent views to the mountains. I enjoyed the quietness. I appreciated that dinner was available with the antipasto part of the evening meal was the tastiest.

Although the rooms were clean, the office area seemed messy. Also, the dining area, although quite clean, with cats roaming about didn’t seem pristine. The ‘meat’ course seemed grease heavy with one meal being all breaded deep fried meats.

Beautiful location, surrounded by mountains, forests, cute village of Montemonaco nearby. Great swimming pool, friendly hosts!

We missed a bit a comfortable communal lounge area, a place to play games, read a book etc, even though there is great potential. Especially needed in bad weather conditions!

Incredible place for relaxing in nature

Stunning views, extremely relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful area with plenty of hikes near by. The nice breakfasts outside in the middle of nature, the dinners in the garden served with lots of care, delicious homemade food and the awesome swimming pool, made this stay one of the best places we have been. The owner was very friendly and we felt at home. We will go again for sure!

Unique individual hotel with the best dinners in Italy

Food is exceptional especially dinner. All ingredients are top class local produce cooked with a fantastic palette and creativity within the local style. Rooms good some with air on. Sylvia the owner will do anything he can to make your stay memorable. Great pool.

Excellent location with wonderful views. Very helpful staff . Excellent value for dinner . 5 courses including wine and water. Vegetarian request for one guest willingly accommodated . Rooms well heated. Simple, non fussy, basic but comfortable rural rooms .

Excellent food, magnificent views: we didn't want to leave and now we look forward to visit again

We stayed here with two adults and two children in August 2020. The hotel is located on a slope with beautiful views of the Apinine mountains (monte Vettore). The hotel has a swimming pool, which is great for relaxing enjoying the views and even more after hiking for the whole day in the hot August Italian sun. The room for four persons had a double bed in the first floor and twin beds in a rooms accessible with in-room stairs. There was a bathroom with a shower and we enjoyed the traditional original design of the room and furniture. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and working hard for his guests from breakfast till dinner (grazie mille per il zenzero). And that brings us to another fantastic experience: the dinners in the restaurant, a five course menu with traditional Italian cooking with drinks included. It is a set menu and that is no problem at all since it is all very delicious and excellent. Our children were even 'saving space' limiting snacks in the afternoon in order to enjoy dinners to the fullest extent and are still talking about it. Prices of the hotel and the dinners were very reasonable as well. In conclusion about our stay: we didn't want to leave La Citadella and now we look forward to visit again. PS This region suffered from a terrible earthquake in 2016 and you can see the detrimental effects when travelling in this area. We can only imagine the sufferings the people had to endure and still do these days.

Brilliant as always

A quirky hotel we have visited 4 times.The personality is Silvio.Great food, pool and attitude to helping with whatever you needed. Montemonaco nearby is a lovely historic village.
