It was very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful.

The car park is on the opposite side of the building and there is not any visible signs indicating that.

You can find better for the money

Normal old fashioned hotel. I can only thank you for calling a taxi, I thank the taxi driver for the work.

On the last day they didn’t wash the room for us, and on the last night they didn’t turn on the heating. We didn't dry things. And after departure, there were two strange (late or duplicating?) write-offs from the card, for which the hotel advised us to find out at the bank. It is almost impossible for foreigners to communicate with a Spanish bank. I think the hotel could be more responsible and help to be transparent about charges after check out.

I had to wait more than 1 hour and 30 minutes for a staff member to come and unlock the hotel. I called several times on the phone, and they told me they were eating, and in 10 minutes they would come. And after 1 hour and 30 minutes a boy came. This is not a good staff! The hotel is good for this price

A decent place for a short stay in Gijòn

Hotel Valdes is very well priced and clean. There are some bars, restaurants and a Mercadona supermarket near the place. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms look very dark due to the dark colored furniture and bed covers and the poor lighting. The internet connection is not very strong either, but it works.
