extraordinary character and beautiful remote location Friendly staff

we booked 2 rooms for the 3 of us which was the right decision. The bunk in the double room could have accommodated 3 but that would have been horribly cramped

Lovely to get off the beaten track and relax in this small and charming old fishing village.

Holmvik Brygge is a true gem in Nyksund. Full of charm and old artefacts from bygone times. All kept as original as possible. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Comfy beds. Nice and clean all over. Lovely buffet breakfast which also catered towards gluten and lactose free food. Thank you for that. Nyksund itself has an interesting and unusual history and is a place well worth visiting. The rocky mountains and spectacular scenery surrounding Nyksund is also great for hiking.

The last bit of road leading to Nyksund isn't the best but no big deal as long as you drive slowly. A campaign to improve the road is already in motion.

Exceptional

I enjoyed the cosiness and remoteness of the village and this accommodation. It was rough by nature but welcoming at the same time. A great place to enjoy the sea and fresh air.

Excellent location in the middle of Nyksund. All was good. Rather new apartment with a feel of Norwegian cabin. Spacious and adequate at OK price.

Superb

Very unique and interesting place to stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The spiral wooden stairs to 2nd floor are steep and narrow.

Wonderful location in Nyksund, clean and cosy apartment with all the basics you need.

Nothing, but they should have a cork screwer for wine bottles in the room 🌞

Tons of character and perfect location.

Very special place with tons of character and history in the most picturesque location. The shared living room and kitchen was fabulous.

We liked everything about it.

Great location to hike but overall needs improvement given price

Very well equipped kitchen Nice location Cosy athmosphere

Staircases are very steep Rooms are a little bit small Noisy as you can hear everything from the other rooms Breakfast needs to be improved, very little choice and products no very good. Expensive for what it is

Cozy room with bathtub and an amazing view over the sea

The room was really cozy and had the an amazing view over the sea and nearby fjord. We had access to a kitchen and spacious common area as well, and had everything that we needed - including a bathtub, which almost felt like a hot spring when the window was let open so the cold summer winds could enter. The staff was also very nice and let us store our luggage a few hours after checkout. The Holmvik Brygge restaurant, also run by the hotel, had a unique and Game of Thrones-ish atmosphere (in a good way).

There was an odd smell in the room when the windows were closed, so we kept them open during our stay. This made it a bit cold and windy inside.

Rustic and cozy - go for the charm, not hotel standard though

Rustic and authentic place in beautiful Nyksund. Clean and well kept hotel/hostel with shared bathrooms. The kitchen facilities are nice if you plan on cooking your own food, but there is no supermarket in Nyksund, so shop in Myre at the latest.

The mattress had a sink-hole in it, not really very comfortable.
