Exceptional

We absolutely loved the location, it is perfect as a getaway for a couple and directly at the ocean, we will definitely come back, staff was amazing :-)

Rooms could have been cleaner, fan in the bathroom above the shower was clogged and there were some spiderwebs in the room.

A Relaxing Break

Peaceful, elegant and thoroughly charming. The room was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was exceotional.

No plug for the bath but apart from that nothing.

A great couple of days in a classic property

The location was great and the fact that it only had 8 rooms meant it was very quiet too. The breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly

Relaxed historic villa on the sea

Fantastic historic sea-fronted villa with great space, friendly host and professional service. Loved the large rooms, amazing views, pool and easy access to the sea. Relaxed continental breakfast, served on the terraces. Good bar service with a nice selection of wines. Easy walking distance to Lovran village, where there are excellent restaurants (GANEUM his highly recommended) and two wine shops. A place to relax and unwind for people who want to avoid larger hotels Enjoyed not having to share the pool, sun loungers and terrace with no more than 4 to 10 people at any time.

As a small privately run hotel there will always be areas that need attention and investment, which I appreciate can be a issue today with Covid19 effecting the industry. Our room needed a few light blubs. The mini bar wasn't cool. The grass and plants needed watering and a few areas around the pool and in the grounds needed maintenance, but these were minor and in no way detracted from the experience. You need to order the 'light' lunch (soup) the day before, which we didn't know and missed (a simple salad was provided). No evening meal option, but as there are excellent restaurants close by this wasn't a problem.

Exceptional

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Personal is very friendly. Villa and rooms are clean and cozy. Amazing area by the villa to spend a quite day in the sun. Entrance to the see by the Villa is very beautiful and not crowded. Highly recommend this place.

A very nice villa in a wonderful place very charming. A welcoming team. Everything to have a perfect stay in a quiet atmosphere. We strongly recommend !

Exceptional

We really enjoyed our stay in villa Astra. Cool staff and owner, amazing accommodation, excellent food, great location... we spent our honeymoon there and it was extraordinary experience! We had everything what we needed in one place and even more!

Great location, but nobody invested anything for the last 10 years

Great location, used to be a high end Villa, but the current owner unfortunatelly does not understand what hospitality business is. Very unfortunate. Extremly overprized. The bright side of the property is the gentelman serving the breakfast who was very nice.

Disastrous paintings on the walls, very bad beds and no investment into the maintainging of the building.

Magical place

Magical place for relax in villa with atmosphere of ancient times. Beautifull garden, stone beach suitable for swimming directly in front of villa, helpful and kind staff. The owner is very friendly man with big heart!
