One of the most beautiful scenery and experience

I appreciated the warm welcome, comfort , and peaceful environment. When I say that I did not want to even want my stay to end to get back to real lie as a Psychotherapist, I am telling you the peace and scenery will be joyful to your souls fir either family , business and or just a solo adventure. Everything needed just down the road. No amount of money can buy an unforgettable experience just one of kind.

I did not like that I had my time came to an end and that I had to leave to head back home😊. This location is by far an unbeatable for the rate. Comfort and hospitality.

Los baños no estaban muy limpios, la cisterna de una habitación no funcionaba bien, el lavabo de otra habitación perdía agua. Los muebles son antiguos y están deteriorados..

Relaxed, laid back, fun and very laisser faire. Tony was a nice host.

The location was lovely, close to town, and the beaches. The view was gorgeous. It was a jamaican welcome, and jamaican style residence. They were kind to the dogs and cats and fed them. You could prepare food in the kitchen, store food safetly in the fridge. People around port antonio friendly, and we shopped with local people, locally in shops and the market, with no hassle or inflated prices .

Being brits we were a little peturbed at a curtain over the toilet, where as we are used to a solid door. It was easy to juggle bathroom needs.

Spartanisch und Günstig aber Sauber

Es ist ein einfaches Cottage auf einem Hügel nahe der Marina. Die einfachen Zimmer waren oben, mit ein bisschen Aussicht auf die Bucht. Zimmer waren sauber. Betten waren gut.

Der Service war unvorbereitet. Das Frühstück war sehr spärlich und erst auf Anfrage wurde es gemacht … Instand-Kaffee und zu wenig Geschirr und Stühle (7 Personen), rohes Toastbrot, Margarine und etwas Marmelade. OK war dann nach einiger Zeit ein paar Rühreier.

Friendly an warm welcome

I paid for a double room an i didn't get it due to some renovation ....the owner told me he will let us stay in in a different room for the night .....the next day in the afternoon i went and ask him how come he didn't come back an let me know if is word was valid....he start telling some things i dont even understand .....

The location was great and so was the staff

I didn't like that there was no cable (Netflix etc...) and the bathroom was too near the bed. Also, there was no soap holder inside the shower.

A great place and a great deal for an adventure rest stop.

the owner was very attentive and helpful from the moment we arrived. We drove there so being allowed to park in place, let us enjoy more the stay with no worrying about the car parked out in NYE. The room had a balcony with a great view of the town and the beach.

The bed sheets were rough and the bathroom doesn't have a door, it has a curtain though. It was noisy but since it was the NYE celebration we understood. The owner was playing music so the place wasn't super quiet but it was compensated by the great playlist the owner played and how respectful he was to stop it later in the night so guests could sleep well.

Use of the kitchen was free and decent amenities in there. Rooms OK, fairly spacious, whole place a little dated, seemed a little nicer in the photos but OK for 1 or 2 nights stay. Location alright, you can walk to the main centre for restaurants.

Rooms werent ready despite arriving after check in time (this seems to be a theme in Jamaica which I was expecting before I even arrived), floors could have been swept a bit better and bathroom was quite small. Water from bathroom tap was barely a trickle but shower was OK.

The owner had a party until late with very loud music. It was difficult to sleep. There were also some cockroaches in the room.

Superb

The owner is absolutely lovely. Location is great, close to downtown and route taxis while at the same time in a nice residential area. Great value for money.

Can be a bit noisy with the frogs, fan and music.

May need to explain how to get there as slightly behind road indicated Ceiling fan eventually blows hot air. Breakfast or mini fridge eith some water available would be good TV didn't work

Reasonably pleasant but could have been improved.

Location for proximity to banks, food etc. The host was pleasant, helpful, and accessible. He was also responsive to our needs. Allowed is to experience a lival Jamaican experience, as opposed to a resort.

We did not receive towels, toilet paper etc unless we requested. Not clear if we were expected to bring our own. The wifi and TV were very temperamental. When we did ask the host, he did try to fix the wifi and TV.

I woud never go back there

The pictures they have up on there web page is not FinJam cottage it misleading information . The location wasnt as it looks on the web page . Place is under some farm of renovation. The place have no sign to inform you that its the cottage . The view is not good rooms are not comfortable . I would'nt recommend it to anyone .

The location , the building , the rooms , the construction going on , the false information , the poor communication etc etc

Very good

Great guest house, a mixture between a travelling hostel and guest house... loved the fact we had a balcony and quite but very close to town. Tony the owner is great and we loved its rustic charm.

Could do with serving a good cup of coffee in the am.
