Urlaub fast perfekt

Wunderschön gelegenes Hotel in einem faszinierenden Städtchen. Sehr viele Möglichkeiten zum wandern und mit der Gästekarte kann man öffentliche Verkehrsmittel kostenlos nutzen

Leider kann man ab 22 Uhr die Bar im Hotel nicht mehr nutzen... auch on der Umgebung ist alles zu 😒

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Dame am Empfang. Tolle Terrasse und leckeres Abendessen. Freundlicher Ober.

Die Frühstück-Damen könnten vielleicht einmal lächeln und einem einen guten Morgen wünschen, dann würde der Tag schöner beginnen.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel that is located centrally in Bad Schandau.

The hotel is at a central location in the town, with a nice terrace with view on the Elbe river. In front of the hotel, you can park your car at a low rate for hotel guests. The breakfast was nice and WiFi connection was good even though we stayed at the top story of the hotel (accessible by elevator).

There was no separate shower in the bathroom, so you had to shower in the bath-tub which wasn't very handy. Each evening you had to get a parking ticket for the next day at the reception and place it visible inside the car to make sure that you would not get fined. It would have been easier to get a parking ticket that covers for the days we were staying at the hotel.

relaxing stay on river Elbe

Lovely traditional-style hotel, beautifully kept. Spacious room and bathroom. Our room on the front had a lovely river view and was quiet as there is no traffic in front of the hotel.

No arm chairs in room, only dining-room style chairs, not comfortable.

Very nice and charming hotel on perfect location on the river

Bad Schandau was one of the highlights of our trip in Germany, The city/village is very picturesque and we had a very nice room on the river. I think we even had one of our best dinners at the restaurant of the hotel, directly on the river. Parking was quite easy, the personnel was very nice, the room was spacious and with a window-door opening on the river, with perfect views. We even liked seeing the trains passing on the other side, despite the sound (we heard nothing when we closed the windows). The breakfast was good and we really liked the fact that there was a special spot for children to play (our daughter didn't want to leave). It is very close to the Therme Spa and you really need to pay a visit.

Nothing negative really comes to mind...It is quite expensive but this is understandable.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Elbhotel Bad Schandau!

Our room was very comfortable, the staff was very polite, and we liked the breakfast. The location of the hotel is also great because there's a train station nearby that can easily be reached with a ferry. Visitors of the hotel receive a card with which they can use this and other ferries as well as a bus line for free.

We're vegetarians and noticed that the menu in the hotel's restaurant offered only one vegetarian main course. This is quite common though for a hotel of this type in a region like this. A slightly larger selection would have been nice. The free wifi was fine, but it was occasionally interrupted for a few minutes. But of course that's not a big deal in such a beautiful area with so many attractions close by.

The hotel is in a very good location, next to the ferry stop (which takes you to the railway station) and very close to the bus station. The hotel is very clean, well-mainatained. It has a nice lobby and a terrace. Breakfast is excellent.
