An amazing and luxurious experience

We spent an amazing few days here. The Hotel had a great and rich breakfast, really comfortable and clean rooms, a cozy and relaxing wellness floor that feels private, as well as the highlight of being located directly in the center of Motovun's city square. The Hotel staff was kind and helpful, offering to drive us up to and from the Hotel, which would be difficult to climb with our luggage, given how steep the hill is. Since the Hotel isn't massive the wellness area is more private, so we enjoyed a good relaxing massage in a truly stress-free environment.

Slightly annoying was that the room's bathroom had a quite noisy and loud ventilation system, which you couldn't turn off if you wanted the main light to stay on. It's great that the ventilation is powerful, but you can't hear yourself think over the fan.

The location of the hotel was amazing. The breakfast buffet was very good . The pool was great , very clean and modern .

Although it was an old hotel , the rooms were very outdated , the room had an old smell perhaps from the old carpet , the air conditioner worked very poorly and the bathroom needed updating .

Wonderful hotel, in the center of the old town of Motovun. Particularly lovely are the number of different terraces and the garden.

Cool location unpleasant staff uncomfortable accomodations.

Location

Front desk receptionist was not friendly. We were traveling for 7 hours and our ETA time was 9:40 pm, the reception desk apparently closes at 9:30 we had to beg them to stay open 10 minutes later. We turned out to be five minutes late because we rushed to get there. Not very welcoming. Also air conditioning was very poor and the rooms were sweltering. Once again the same front desk host was unfriendly did ask us about our stay and when I informed her of the inadequate air conditioning she did apologize or even act like she cared.

Amazing property, top of the mountain. Stunning rooms, beautiful pool, great location. The city is amazing..great places to eat, nice staff and towns people.wonderful wine, so many truffles!!grsY courtyard cage. Also, a place to return to. Take the shuttle through the narrow gates and cobblestone streets to the kastel, like an amusement park ride, Wow!!!

I had a nice room and the spot is nice

breakfast was just ok, you need to carry all your luggage up the hill or wait for a shuttle, parking place was unclear to me when I first arrived, my car got damaged on the parking place

Excellent and enjoyable hotel.

Great location right in the old town. Breakfast was included and had a great selection of foods to eat. Our room was small but good for what we needed and it was quiet and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful.

The only issue we had was with the wifi. It would not work in our room and we had to go sit in the Lobby to use it.

Not clear when the pool is close. A staff member was very rude to me and misjudged my intention. I tough it was open because the door was unlock.He ask me if i had a room like i was some kind of criminal. He seems tired i get it but please be Nice.

Breakfast fine. Location great.

The door was not locked properly, almost broken. Hairdryer stopped working. Staff Ok but waited a lot at check-in and check out of room eventhough there was only 1 or 2 persons in front of us...quite slow.

Great hotel in the heart of Motovun

Hotel Kaštel exceeded our expectations. Spacious and very pretty room with a very well furnished and reconstructed bathroom. Nice view of the little town's plaza. Great location in the very heart of Motovun. Very good breakfast and super helpful staff at the breakfast.

Price could perhaps be lower (we came at the beginning of June and the town was completely dead but the prices were already holiday season prices) but then again, the location compensates that.

Very good overall experience, will be back.

Excellent location, large room, friandly staff.

Breakfast room was small and hot (could be out on one of 3 terraces :-) and breakfast was a bit below the rest of the experience (coffee machine out of milk etc).
