Not really anything considering we were in a basic room, but a couple of drawers would have been useful.

Good location - silent area but close to the center, clean and tidy. Very helpful and kind owners and staff. Everything was working like expected. Worth to be recommended for vacations.

Peaceful, stress free and outstanding

The owners who also look after everything themselves Caterina and Manos could not have been friendlier or more helpful if they tried. The Golden Sun Boutique is poorly rated as it is only a 3 star it should be no less than a 4. It was spotless very well maintained and each room has its own individuality and feels like a home from home which makes your stay even more special. Manos even though didn't have any strawberries went out of his way to go and pick some and not even charge us from his own plantation. The food was excellent quality and fruit and veg is grown on their plantation and wouldn't even give us a strawberry with a small imperfection as he uses them for Jam and not give to holiday makers. Caterina even has a small puppy DIEAGO who also comes to work with her and is an absolute little bundle of fun even when he is stealing your socks and flip flops. Couldn't improve in any way and the price is totally unbelievable and would pay treble the amount to stay there.

Beautiful and comfortable, but quite hot room.

The place was really beautiful and newly refurbished, both the hotel and the room. The staff was also really helpful and lovely. The pool was also nice, with comfortable sunbeds. I asked for some romantic gesture to be done, as it was my first hollidays with my partner, and they left a basket with some wine and peaches, which was a really nice touch.

Both the aircon and TV where with extra charge, which was never mentioned when booking the room, I was quite disappointed about it, mostly for the AC, because with the hotel being so close to the party area you can' t really sleep with the balcony door open. Also the windows are stuck, which makes the room to be quite hot. The shower also didn't have much pressure, and the hot water was not allways working.

Highly recommended! Fabulous boutique design hotel in the center of Malia!

Very friendly atmosphere, very helpful staff, very clean pool and well maintained gardens. Also we had our amazing continental breakfast served at our room in early in the morning

Very clean, modern decor. Bedding and towels were changed regularly and room cleaned. Having fresh sheets for the sun loungers every day was impressive. Great and very friendly service at the bar. Delicious food. The children loved the pool, had an amazing time. Restaurants and supermarket a short walk. The beach is not too far, about 15 - 20 mins walk through what looks like allotments. Amazing views. Everything was perfect.

A great place to relax and be used as basis to explore malia and crete!

Super clean and quiet, perfect for couples or families. Overall the location and area is perfect. The staff is always there to help no matter what. Also the rooms are very nice and renovated!!!

Wonderful Malia!

This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms, a lovely front porch, and a beautiful large swimming pool. Everything was very clean and attractive and the staff was extremely gracious and helpful throughout our stay. We also loved that it’s within walking distance of Old Town (plentiful and fabulous restaurants) and the beach.

The air conditioner rattled a bit which sometimes interrupted our sleep.

Nice room at Malia

The location was good. Quiet neighborhood . The rooms were clean. The terrace was nice and the pool was clean .

Everything was great. The bathroom was too small.

Quiet and clean

The staff are all great and the hotel was really quiet. Would definitely recommend to anyone visit this place.” I were greeted by Manos who walked me to the parking place and was patiently waiting to get my stuff, he has also kindly booked for me a table in a restaurant and helped me hire a car as well. The rooms were modern and clean with all the necessary equipment included.
