Just go, you will not regret!

homely vibe! Absolutely lovely staff, great dinner (self produced rice) proactive and very knowledgeable about the area, took us on a road trip and we even saw monkeys and elephants!!! Absolutely recommend, AC also great!

La camera era sileziosa e aveva tutti i confort del caso. Il proprietario e suo figlio sono stati estremamente gentili e disponibili e mi hanno proposto molte attività bellissime, facendomi scoprire anche luoghi molto locali

Amazing!

Gamage’s resort is amazing, the location it’s perfect and the staff is great. Gamage organized everything for me, it was very helpful and great price for all the tours. The guys of the staff are very kind and nice, always at your disposal if you need anything. The breakfast is very nice, and the dinner it’s amazing! I would recommend to have dinner there, food is amazing!

Maybe I would offer free drinkable water for guests

Family-owned place, everything was beyond our expectations! Room was very clean, we had home-grown food for dinner as the owner makes his own rice! Moreover, he explained all we needed to know to go around in Dambula, Sigiriya, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa and also arranged a scooter rental for us! Definitely worth the price

A great place in Dambulla

The place was very spacious, close to the town center, restaurants and a supermarket. Breakfasts were great. The owner offered to prepare lunch and dinner. He organized some activities around Dambulle (eg. Seeing the Cave Temple, going to Sigiriya/Pidurangala) and at the end even gave me a ride to the bus station. Highly recommend 🙂

Cheap, good location but go for better options

It’s cheap if you can put up for a good nights stay. The owner himself was managing the property and was kind.

The room looks so unclean. Dirty sports here and there. The toilets were unclean. The AC was smelly. They accepted only cash payments and there was no way to pay with card and wasn’t mentioned anywhere before the stay. We didn’t taste the food either as place looked unclean.

Nice for spending some hours outside at the evening! Room was clean, bed was comfortable and AC good working!

The host was very kind, it was in the city center and the outdoor area/ garden was great.

The owner is very friendly, he even drove us to the bus station for the bus to Kandy. His son drove us with tuk tuk to the Cave temples. Our room was basic, it is pretty clean. It was great place for 3 days in Dambulla. If you need the Owner will help you to organize trip for example to Sigiriya. Very nice place for this price.

the wooden doors had designs cut out from wood, so any insect could come inside the room very easily

Amazing

Convenient location, near bus stop. It is easy to get to attractions in Dambulla and Sigiriya from here. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Most importantly, a very friendly and hospitable host. Great place, I recommend it to everyone.

The hotel is too good, I didn't want to leave this place.

We would highly recommended this guest house for your stay.

Good location for those who traveled by bus,5-10 min walk from bus stop to the hotel. Guest house is located closed to Main Street but hidden away from noises and is peaceful and very green. Owner of the guest house and his whole family are very polite and helpful. They shared all their knowledge with us and pointed to right directions. Owner can provide rides by tuk tuk or car to Sirigiya, Cave Tample and Polonnaruwa if you looking for quick transportation. Also safari trips are available at the site.

Relaxing, comfortable and convenient.

The owner and staff were lovely, he even drove us to catch the bus. The place is undergoing renovations and extensions but that didn't disturb us at all. The outside sitting area was good and you could mix with other guests. Quick walk to the center of town and all the facilities. There is a restaurant serving Sri Lankan food which was plentiful. We would definitely stay there again, we enjoyed being there.

The only thing I didn't like was the pillows, they were super heavy and hard, not sure what was inside of them?

Best hotel in Dambulla

We loved the property. It is very cosy and clean. Best hotel, best breakfast and best stuff. Owner is so helpful and super kind. He arranged safari trip and take us to the Pidurangala hike in the very early morning. He even took us to the Dambulla cave temple without any payment. If you want to visit Dambulla I can't imagine better place than Gamagedara Resort. Highly recommended.

Disappointing

Fantastic host, gave us some great ideas for plans and was very accommodating

The place was pretty run down compared to photos and a little unclean. Had our expectations been lower it would have been fine for the money but we were expecting more from the photos

Great location and friendly staff

The staff is really friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. They welcomed me with a cup of tea :) The location is great.

The mattress was thin, so it's not the most comfy bed, but I only stayed a night.
