Desconexión en el desierto

Me encantó todo, empezando por la cercanía y el trato de Tawfiq. El sitio es un espectáculo, en medio del desierto, la tranquilidad, comodidad y la comida riquísima. Ademàs tienes la posibilidad de contratar con ellos un tour por el desierto en Jeep, camello o rutas de senderismo. ¡Super recomendable!

Despite the pressure, the rest of the experience for our day stay was good.

The price was reasonable, and the room is clean. I also enjoyed the variety of food they served, including dessert. The dessert we had was an assortment of baklava. They cater to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, so it's advisable to inform them in advance about dietary preferences. Our booked room included breakfast and dinner, and they provided complimentary mineral water and carbonated drinks at common area. The owner helped us take nice star-gazing pictures. We discovered this place through Carob Hostel in Amman, where we had a pleasant stay that influenced our decision to choose accommodations recommended by them.

1. The shower area needs improvement as it became congested after just one person had showered. 2. I was pressured by the owner to leave a review with a perfect 10-star rating in exchange for discounts on the day we're leaving. The owner insisted on waiting for me before allowing us to leave. I find this business practice unethical and do not prefer such approaches. 3. The jeep tour package was inconsistent. We had checked the jeep tour rates through email beforehand but did not make a booking. Upon checking again on-site, they quoted us a higher price than previously discussed.

Awesome half day jeep tour we took Comfortable beds in clean tents Peaceful camp at a very nice site at Wadi Rum Tasty local food made right at the camp !

Only the jets flying above occasionally disrupting the peaceful quiet of the desert. Lets Hope the conflict ends soon !

Ambiance intimiste et chaleureuse pour une expérience authentique inoubliable

Séjour inoubliable! les chambres sont propres et confortables dans leur déco bédouine, les repas sont délicieux et préparés sur place de manière traditionnelle, la salle de bains est très propre. Le camp est dans un endroit exceptionnel vraiment reculé où on a une vue imprenable sur le coucher de soleil. Ambiance intimiste et chaleureuse pour une expérience authentique. Le gérant du camp prend soin de l'environnement en ne laissant aucun déchet en plastique autour du camp et le camp est autonome en énergie grâce à des panneaux solaires. Je n'oublierai jamais ce séjour, merci Tawfiq

Perfect from A to Z

What can I say ? Everything is perfect Tawfiq is very generous and welcoming. He welcomes you in his camp as if you were part of the family. He paid lunch for my friends even if it wasn't included. The camp location is really something. The best spot for the sunset in wadi rum. The dîner is soooooo yummy and Everything is perfectly clean. Such an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone We also took a full Day jeep tour and it was worth every minute.

Location is perfect, especially the little walk to the lookout is perfect to watch sunrise or sunset. Restrooms are clean. Food is really good. We recommend the camp!

it was amazing time in amazing place with super cool guys. Towfique and all staff there is super friendly and place is in deep desert. You can feel as in the moon. Strongly recommend - he is honest guy!!

I am seriously considering coming back in the warmer months to stay for longer

Location was magnificent, breathtaking. I walked around and explored for hours long before it was time for dinner. The guides were easy going to helped bring us to sites I'll never forget.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ! SADDAM THE BEST !

This experience was AMAZING ! All was perfect, this camp is a TRADITIONAL DESERT CAMP with simple tends but with a very nice contest and furniture : tyoical for the place. THE BEST OF OUR EXPERIENCE WAS SADDAM, an incredible boy, very friendly with a big passion for his job, the best driver that we met in our life! We are very grateful to this faboulous person with a big heart and with a special emapty with his tourists. We had a wonderful dinner with nice surprise , the fire inside of the big "dinner tend" was so warm. We hope to come back as soon as possible! Thank you a lot SADDAM - Fra- Dona - Manu

Awesome

The location is amazing, exactly as on the picture, deep in the Wadi Rum, close to all the beautiful sites. Our tent had very comfortable beds and faced sunset. The welcome is really warm, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff are outstanding. We spent two evenings in the common tent by the fireplace and it felt like being at home with friends. Tawfiq runs the camp perfectly and will assist you in making the most of your stay: he organized horse-back riding for us and took us on a jeep tour to the best places of the Wadi Rum, kudos :-) But please bear in mind that it is a camp, not a luxury hotel, so don't expect a heated or air-conditioned tent or high-speed internet because it's in the desert where mobile phone service is weak.

unwelcoming & not a traditional Bedouin stay

The chef was extremely lovely & made beautiful food.

false advertising in relation to -transport from the village to desert bird camp -wifi -live music -heating in rooms -security this is all listed on booking.com, you’ll need to update your booking page as this wasn’t provided. the staff (except Mahmoud) didn’t make us feel comfortable throughout our stay. making us feel unwelcome & not at home during our stay at many points.

Beautiful experience!

Desert Bird Camp was a beautiful experience. I arrived at night and I woke up to the most beautiful view. They were so friendly and welcoming. The evenings around the fireplace with a cup of tea were very cosy. I was surprised by the comfort of the facilities, the bathroom is very clean and has hot water. Chef Mahamout cooks every evening a delicious diner buffet in the traditional Zarb way. I was really happy to find multiple vegan options. Thanks to the dear host Tofig, I discovered beautiful places in the desert, he also gave helpful advice for the rest of my trip. I would like to try out their hiking tours in the future, I hope to be able to come back soon! Tip for the breakfast: place your bread in the fireplace :)

amazing tent, exciting jeep your!

Very nice hosts, Taufiq had his driver come pick us up at the village and drive to the camp. We would then proceed with the jeep tour followed by delicious dinner. The camp had all the necessary amenities (except for wifi, but it’s the desert so duh), comfortable beds and delicious dinner/breakfast.

incredible views and super clean tents!

Beautiful surroundings with incredible views! Tents and bathrooms are super neat and comfortable. The food is also delicious! I took two jeep tours with a local Bedouin, fantastic! I strongly recommend staying in this camp, as some camps I’ve seen in the are don’t really look as nice as on the booking and the surrounding is pretty poor.

Desert Bird Camp is the place you want to come back. In the middle of the desert, you sleep in perfectly clean tents, eat delicious dinners and experience true Bedouin hospitality. I also recommend the full day jeep tour organized by the Camp.
