Albertos kleined Guesthouse ist geräumig und geschmackvoll, aber auch praktisch im Stil fer lokalen Bevölkerung eingerichtet. Es liegt zentral, aber man hat es trotzdem ruhig darin. Es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche und einen WohnrUm,wo man andere Gäste treffen kann. Albert ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Da das Zimmer für den Tag unseres Check-out nicht reserviert war, konnten wir das Gepäck bis zum Abend dort aufbewahren.
Eigentlich nichts, außer dass es iaufgrund des Klimas in den Anden m Haus ohne Heizgelegenheit etwas kalt ist.

Stunning guesthouse in great location, a couple of blocks from the market. Despite the central location the guesthouse is extremely quiet, with no street noise. The room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable- we had the best sleep we’ve had in a long time! The architecture is gorgeous, the photos just don’t do it justice! The guesthouse has everything you need for a comfortable short or longer term stay, including a well equipped kitchen if you would like to do some cooking. The host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Everything was great! Super clean, very spacious, and in a great central location! Great peaceful place to rest up, and then enjoy Otavalo. Good beds, nice kitchen and little communal area. Everything was perfect and the owner is really nice!

Alberto was such a kind. And friendly host. Communication with him was extremely easy and he always quickly responded. I enjoyed small talk with him since he's such a great guy.
I had some payment issues, and was really upset, but he accommodated me by letting me pay via an electronic method, which saved the day.
The room is, as others have said, HUGE! The aesthetic atmosphere created by select textiles, adornments, and colors makes for a unique experience.
If I could list a few areas the stay could have been improved, they would be:
1. Include a better sort of cooking equipment( the only frying pan was tiny! )
2. Include a sign telling guests hot water comes from the right!
3. Maybe create a raised path for the room on top so that guests don't get their feet wet when it rains.
I'm nitpicking here; in no way does this detract my 5 star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

The location right downtown close to the park and the big market. Alberto speaks good English and was very welcoming and helpful. The shared space and kitchen were great. It's a small hostel so very quiet. Our room was huge with 3 double beds. So comfortable! Be aware that there are 3 steps to go up to the bathroom.

This guesthouse was fantastic. The best place we've stayed in Ecuador so far. The room was ridiculously large, with three double beds, a sitting area, and a good bathroom with a nice hot shower. The shared kitchen had everything you need, there are a couple of common sitting areas, plus a rooftop with a small but lovely sitting area. View of the volcano from the roof. There is also a clothes washing machine available. Alberto was a great host and had tons of information about the area. Fantastic value.

Charming hotel, welcoming and informative host, centrally located, hot showers, communal kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious rooms.
Alberto is an excellent host and gave us tips and advice on the local places to visit, transportation, etc. When we needed extra blankets, a minor repair in the room, he took care of it immediately.

It was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in at least 40 places. The location was great. The place was decorated and constructed super cute. The bedroom was huge with 3 comfortable beds and a private bath. The kitchen was to be shared with the other two rooms but no one else used it but us. Even had a little courtyard garden with roses blooming outside our bedroom. The host was very nice, spoke English, and very helpful.

The hostel was very cozy and clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. The location is surrounded by little shops and restaurants and the poncho marked is just around the corner.
The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful with any questions you might have for hiking trips or any other activities in the area.

This was the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed at! The location is right in the city center, it’s clean, the architecture is STUNNING, and Alberto the owner was so kind and welcoming. There was a good shower with hot water, and all the other amenities we could wish for. I’d visit again in a heartbeat!

Giant room, nice man upon arriving (although for most of the time there is no one there, its more like an airbnb). Good location.
Kitchen isn't well equipped. My bed had a dent in it.

The room have 2 double beds, and another wide single bed!
In addition, a private shower with hot water, a double sofa, 2 tables and a closet.
The hot side of the hot water in the shower is to the right, we managed to get confused 🙃

- incredible huge space! The pictures really don't do it justice, we were very happily surprised with the space when we arrived -- I immediately recommended they take and post new pictures because the current ones don't reflect how great the place is.
- Alberto gave us such a warm, kind welcome and gave us great recommendations for Otavalo as well, and was very responsive to anything we needed
- location was great because it was close enough to walk to everything, but not so close that the noise made it uncomfortable
- we had a really nice stay there, would definitely recommend it!
Kitchen and implements could have been cleaner, but I blame the previous guests more than the hotel because I think the hotel counts on the guests to clean what they used. But some of the pans and things should be replaced because they're beyond the point of usable. But it's a relatively small detail that shouldn't discourage anyone from staying there.

The Aylluwasi is a lovely refuge from the bustle of Otavalo. Our room was huge, clean, nicely decorated with old photographs and quiet. Alberto, the owner, is a wonderful and thoughtful person who enjoys gardening by the number of potted plants in the common areas and rooms. We recommend La Cosecha restaurant nearby, great food, locale and service.

I loved that this place was very close to the central plaza. It was also close to the bus terminal. The owner was very friendly and helpful and accommodated my extra request. The wifi was also very fast and didn't cut out.
Honestly, I really liked this place. The only little thing is the neighbor in the adjacent building was a bit loud in the morning, which woke me up. But, if you're a deep sleeper, that shouldn't be a problem.

Location is perfect. Near to the plaza de poncho and the bus station, but still quiet. The room is HUGE and the bed very comfortable. The owner very kind and helpful with perfect English. Can't ask for a better stay.
The shower is not as scalding hot as I like, but it should be perfectly fine for normal people.

Previous reviews about the hot/cold water seem to be resolved, so now the place is perfect. We had wonderful hot showers. Huge rooms, private baths, comfy beds, plenty of warm and fresh blankets, cozy sitting area with fireplace, nice kitchen with stove and refrigerator. Every area was spotlessly clean. Only two rooms, so very private. Rooms do not face the street, so they are very quiet. Host has a shop right across the street, so he is available all the time. He speaks perfect English and even set up our transportation to the Mojando hike. If this place is available, BOOK IT!

An adorable guest house with a huge room/bath plus shared kitchen/living/dining space. The owner was waiting for us in the street in front of the house when we arrived, and showed us directly to the room. It was an all around good experience.
