Dear guest the apartment Splendid Star it's located in the very best and very heart of venice, and just 150 feet from the famous St. Mark's Square and the basilica. It's brand new just refurbish in the 2015 and has got all the comforts you may need for a memorable stay. The price includes all published by us there are no hidden extras. We do give you fully assistance 24 hours a day if you may need. Our staff will 'always at your service with the highest disponibiltà' and kindness. In the district of San Marco where we rented you can find all the most popular shops, supermarkets pharmacies, etc., and all the services you need, restaurants, bars, and taxi services, gondolas, and public transport, so you can reach the airport, the train or the car park and every corner of the city ', in a short time.

The location of the apartment was phenomenal. Right off st marks square. The apartment is a little tight, but worked for 2 people no problem. Check in is a bit tricky since instructions arent sent via VRBO but if you just read the instructions on the door or call the host you can figure it out really quickly. The hosts were great super responsive and let us store our bags in the unit before check in. Lots of the stairs to get in so if you have large luggage be prepared. Really the best part of the place is the location it’s hard to beat it!

The apartment was very close to St. Mark’s square and they supplied snacks and beverages upon our arrival. Small but typical apartment for the area. Only issue was there was no remote for the satellite service and couldn’t get through to the management

It’s a great place to stay close to the San Marco Square; patisseries, restaurants, shoppes are close and it’s easy to get back to apartment for an afternoon rest before venturing out in the evening. I appreciated the ‘breakfast items’ that were made available. I was very pleased with everything.

The apartment owner requested that I get what’s app on my phone to make communication easier. He was able to send videos through the app that showed in detail how to find the apartment and check in. Be sure not to take the card out of the slot by the door when you leave. I misunderstood the sign, thinking it was just a convenient spot to keep the key so you wouldn’t forget it, when in fact the power to the apartment goes out when it is removed. We came back to a dark and stuffy apartment and it took a while to figure out what was wrong. There could be written instructions for the washer/drying machine as even looking it up online and having an employee come up to show us how to use it we had a lot of trouble getting our laundry done. The steps are very steep. 56 of them. I knew that when I booked but had injured my knee earlier on our trip. Everywhere you go in Venice has lots of steps though. Venice was our favorite city we visited and this apartment was the most convenient location of the four cities we visited in Italy.

Will stay again
The property is managed professionally with the well being of guests in mind. The apartment is clean. Toiletries are well provided. Coffee, milk, tea, juice, fruits and cookies were also provided. Strangely, the air conditioner shut off around 2 am each day we stayed. We are very satisfied with the owner’s response to the situation. Immediately, he sent the technician and his assistant to fix the problem each day. This was good because it was in the high 90s Fahrenheit outside. The location is excellent. We will not hesitate to recommend this property. Tip for future travelers: bring insect repellent, the mosquitoes outside are hungry.

Wonderful small apartment just a stone’s throw from San Marco Square. It was a fairly narrow staircase going up but it was worth it. Great little apartment with AC, washer/dryer, small kitchen unit and great bathroom. Space is a premium in Venice so you’re not going to find anything too big for less than a mint. We were thrilled with this place. Centrally located in between Rialto Bridge and San Marco square. Highly recommended.

High quality remodelling. Beautiful venician furnishings. Comfortable bed. Gorgeous bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with cookies, milk, coffee and lots more supplied. Air conditioning worked great. Cannot say enough. Loved it.

Wonderful hospitality, and a perfect apartment for two!
The apartment suited us perfectly, and Monica & Fabio were excellent to work with! Their communications were quick and gave all the information needed. The washer was broken, so Monica had our clothes laundered for us. The apartment was spacious and had all the necessities, and very thorough instructions for everything.

In the thick of the action in San Marco Square
This is a small apartment in the thick of San Marco Square. If you want to be close to the square this is the place for you. If you like staying in old city quarters, this is for you. The city literally surrounds you (not unlike staying in the old city in Jerusalem) and this apartment epitomizes that.
The staff is attentive and left some food goodies and drinks for us in the frig upon arrival.
Be aware that there is very limited space for baggage, really only one surface to place a bag on, or you will give up seating or table space. The only other place for baggage is on the floor in the sitting area, but we had trouble moving in the space with a large bag on the floor.
The small air conditioning unit in the sitting area works pretty well for the whole small apartment and it was critical for us even in May because opening the windows meant mosquitoes in the apartment. If mosquitoes are bothersome to you, this is not the apartment for you. Unfortunately, even with the windows closed and a fair number of accurate swats on our part, there were still mosquitoes who kept us up at night, with bites to boot in the morning.

Lovely apartment in perfect location
Sorting out arrangements before our travel date was simple as Fabio or Monica always replied promptly to messages. They told us about options for travel from the airport and gave directions to the apartment. Our unfamiliarity with the city meant we got slightly lost but we were able to call the owners for clarification. The apartment itself is located a very short distance from St Mark’s Square so is a perfect base from which to explore Venice’s attractions. Security is excellent, as you have to pass through three locked doors from street level up to the apartment. As has been mentioned in other reviews, you do have to climb some narrow flights of stairs but this was a minor inconvenience, even for someone as unfit as me. The accommodation is quite small but absolutely fine for two people and was presented in a clean and tidy condition. The kitchen/living area was equipped with all necessities, the bed was very comfortable and the multi-coloured shower a novelty! If you want to watch television there are screens in the living area and bedroom with access to satellite TV and many programmes could be changed to the original English language, which was useful. The owners left fruit, milk, bread, tea, coffee and juice for us, which was a nice touch. There are no views from the apartment itself but that didn’t matter to us as all the attractions were so close. Fabio and Monica remained contactable throughout our visit and were always friendly and helpful. On the day of departure our flight was some hours after the official check-out time but the owners were flexible and gave us an option to leave our luggage in a secure area so we didn’t have to carry it around with us during our final hours of exploration. I would wholeheartedly recommend the apartment as a perfect base in Venice and Monica and Fabio did everything in their power to make our stay a pleasurable experience. Thank you!

Brilliant apartment moments from the best attractions Venice has to offer. Nicely appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable and with all amenities you might need, this apartment ticked all the boxes. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful. I'd add a sixth star if I could!

Fantastic place - very central and easy to walk anywhere. Place was very clean. Monica and Fabio were easily available to answer our questions. Food and coffee that they left for us covered breakfasts for 4 days - very kind touch! Directions from motorboat stop to the apartment were not clear - need to be updated. Thank you and we already have plans to return!

Perfect location, quiet even though near st. Marks square!
Well decorated, stocked with imenities, very comfortable and classy. The host is very quick to respond to any needs you have. The apartment is on the third floor and requires climbing three flights of stairs. Was not an issue for us but might be for others.
