Good

Location, cleanliness and parking, though the driveway was narrow but we were able to take in Nissan xtrail

Nothing specifically, just the number of stairs especially if you are having heavy bags and there was a door inside the apartment which was locked- didn’t know what was on the other side??

Great place, plus having the parking space is a bonus. Hopefully stay here again in the future.

Great location and fairly quiet even being right in the town. Lovely and spacious, nice extra touches.

We really didn’t want to leave!

We loved how central the property was, in terms of the town, and the Lake District Area itself. The flat was very well appointed - everything we could have needed was all to hand.

Excellent accommodation for a great stay in the Lake District

Ideal location for all our needs.

Narrow entrance to parking space which we were able to access as long as cars did not park on the double yellow lines opposite entrance to Bakers Yard. Early departure time (9 am)

wonderful apartment in a fantastic location

we loved the apartment. very comfortable and spacious and provided everything we needed. the location is fantastic.

the only issue we had was with the narrow lane you have to negotiate to get to the parking space. we just ended up parking a minute down the road instead.

very tight to fit the car into and they asked us to strip the bed and put the bins out etc. wouldn’t expect to do this if paid a lot to stay there.

Spacious, comfortable and clean!

The central location in Keswick is perfect for shopping, walking and sightseeing. The flat is spacious, comfortable, clean and well furnished for every need and plenty of room for a family or two couples. The great big kitchen dining room/living room is a relaxing space and the bathroom, with shower only, well appointed with handwash and shower gel.

Four things could be improved upon. We couldn't work out how/where the hot water could be adjusted. The shower has its own heater and was great. The push button on the toilet cistern was very fragile and we had to be careful flushing with it. A bread board would be a useful addition and a few dishwasher tabs, according to the number of days stay, would be great. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay!

Very good

Great location, warm and comfortable property, and quiet and peaceful even though it’s a stones throw from Keswick centre!

I messaged the app several times to get in touch regarding check in and check out times at the property but upon calling Sykes/Lakes Cottage Holidays they told me they hadn’t got a response. I then informed them of our circumstances and no adjustments could be facilitated, and when I presented other solutions these couldn’t either. Check in was smooth, however check out being 9am on the dot we all rushed out to ensure we were checked out then and due to the urgent need to check out then we’d made other time sensitive arrangements. Upon check out I asked a member of staff if I could check out urgently as we were in a hurry and they told me 1 minute and proceeded to stay on the phone for several minutes causing us further delay. This experience of the Sykes/Lakes Cottage was therefore disappointing.

Fantastic stay at this central but quiet apartment.

Location perfect, property nicely decorated & clean, with plenty of space for a family of 4.

Access to the car parking was tight! But got easier as the week went on. Recycling could be better organised with bins clearly labelled for the property.

Great stay. Would book again.

Great location in the centre of Keswick but very quiet. A comfortable, spacious and well equipped apartment. Would stay again.

The alleyway to the parking space is very narrow - definitely only suitable for small cars. Like previous reviews, we couldn’t find the general waste bin for the flat.

Very good

Great location, close to the centre of Keswick, but it was still quiet inside. The apartment was clean and well equipped and had everything we needed.

The 9am checkout time is too early.

A very enjoyable stay, highly recommended.

Very high standard of accommodation, extremely well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The Christmas tree was a nice surprise!

Had a great time the scenery is out of this world we will return, but stay in hotel or guest house

Location is great road access is difficult but doable, cleaning supplies provided was a bonus as well as bin bags. The apartment was spacious light and airy.

The shower had mould round the mosaic tiles and the sliding door. The entrance to access the flat at night was not very well lit. However the worst part is checking out at 9am, cleaning the flat stripping the beds and bagging up with towels for the laundry, taking out the rubbish and once you leave there is no where open before 10am, if you have a long journey like we did we would have liked to have breakfast before hitting the road.

Amazing accommodation in an amazing town

In a very central position in Keswick - everything is within 5 minutes walking ! You get the whole apartment which is very cosy and well equipped - you will find everything you need. It has an oven, kitchen, fridge, dishwasher and laundry. Keswick is a beautiful town with a great variety of shops and restaurants , most being very interesting to visit. It also offers many hiking options and is a great place to visit if you go to the Lakes.

The parking entrance seems a little daunting but there are many free parking lots in ealking distance so not a big problem.

Exactly what we wanted

The location is perfect and it's great to have a parking space. The views from the big windows are nice. The whole flat is comfortable and lovely.

The alleyway to the parking space is daunting, even in a little car. It's actually not as narrow as it looks, though.

Great stay, would come back

Excellent stay, very homely in a great location by the lake. Keswick is a great little town to stay.

The alley was very narrow meaning that anyone with a large car might struggle to park (we had a VW Golf and it was fine but not much wiggle room). The bedframes were very dirty in the second bedroom (covered in dust/dirt) around the edges. Otherwise the flat was very clean.
