The location is excellent, it's right in the centre of Keswick so literally the drop of a hat to anywhere close to the centre. The flat is safe and cosy. Plenty of room for a family of 4.
The flat above was so noisy, and they weren't doing anything untoward, just walking around but it sounded like elephant feet. The light fixtures on the ceiling would shake when they walked across the floorboards and it woke our 1 year old up several times. It ruined his sleep which therefore ruined ours. We also couldn't sleep until they were asleep. We did mention this to the host on the first night and it did improve the second night, but it did spoil our stay quite a bit. The beds weren't great but they were OK. We also take some accountability for booking an apartment with a young family, but cottages and homes are so expensive.

The location is perfect
The door way alley and entrance stunk of urine the grill was dirty they were stains on the table mat and the sofa stunk it needs a good clean up the noise from upstairs sounds like a herd of elephants whilst it’s not the residents fault it’s wood flooring on wood floor so is very very loud this would not of been our first choice and take make matters worse check out is 9 am the office wasn’t even open to hand the keys back it’s unnecessary

There was no breakfast as it was self catering apartment. I liked the proximity to the centre of Keswick, having a designated parking space and that sound-proofing in the flat was good. It was a clean & well -equipped flat.
I found the check out time unusually early at 9am considering they wanted beds all stripped, dishes all away etc. before we left. Hard to see why it could not have been stretched to 10am given the next visitors are not allowed entry until 4pm.....6 hrs later. Also the listing states that one should not request an later booking out time yet in the guest book when people have noted the difficulties they have been told that they should have requested this. So a bit confusing.

The parking area is really tough to navigate but you do get free parking.

Great location - very close to the main square and a short pleasant walk to the lake.

Apartment had everything we needed. The drinks station was a nice touch, as it meant we could enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit as soon as we arrived.
Beds were comfortable. Plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. The extension lead in the twin room was a thoughtful addition.
The shower was hot and there was a useful shelf inside for toiletries.
The coat hooks by the front door were really useful.
Parking space was rather tight, but we managed. However, if we’d come in my partner’s estate car, it wouldn’t have fitted.
We found the written directions to the gate of the property from the car park confusing. Perhaps a small diagram would help.
The lack of any shelving in the bathroom was annoying. Trying to balance all my contact lens solutions etc on the hand basin was difficult.

Great location in the centre of the town. Well equipped, decent comfortable sofa. Cosy once we got the central heating to work!
Parking space is really tight, you need a small car really and we found locking and unlocking the bollard really difficult. Better to find an off road parking space.

The staff in the office where i picked up the keys were very rude with the exception of one. Entrance to the property could be signposted better. Entrance to the property could be better lit - with an external light being fitted for when it is dark. The shower was broken on arrival and it was replaced 48 hours later. No shower for 2 days out of our 4 day trip. Compensation offered however still not yet recieved after numerous phone calls to Sykes Cottages.

Had a wonderful week at Fox's Den, Keswick. The flat was very central with easy access to shops, restaurants and Lake. Having parking was a huge bonus. (Although getting into the space is awkward and tight)
Flat was very tidy and well equipped with everything you need.
Slight problem with WiFi not working on the first day. For some reason the owner has the router locked in a box in main bedroom and key for it in a locked cupboard in 2nd bedroom....WHY? However, nice lady from Sykes letting agency sorted it out next day.
Only slight grump is early check out. As others have commented a later check out (10 or 11) would be better.

Lack of hot water throughout the stay despite having boiler on. Linen and towels could do with being updated. Shame that Sykes Cottages couldn’t respond to our queries before the holiday about the parking.

Lovely clean modern apartment, well equipped kitchen, loved tv in bed, fantastic location, step out the door and you are in Keswick, also cosidering location lovely and quiet. Enjoyed watching the world go by.
The entrance is not the best, cigarette butts and generally untidy, but there is nothing the owner could do about it, once you are in the apartment it is lovely.

parking as another resident from apartment at the top blocked our space, then on trying to vacate a delivery van blocked our exit for at least 15 minutes, staff not really interested when I brought it up with them just sorry, vacating at 9am is to early a check out it should be 10am, bathroom not that clean, they need a new toilet brush & the cleaner needs to use a sonic brush to clean tap & around sink hole

This apartment was in an amazing location for shopping, eating out and walks. We all had a great weekend and would definitely visit again.
The only thing I would off preferred is if the check out was an hour or so later but this didn’t ruing our stay we just didn’t get chance to leave a good review in the visit book due to rushing.

Everything about the apartment was first rate.
The latch on the bathroom door needs replacing, and there was no corkscrew in the kitchen. Although the provision of a parking space in Keswick is beneficial, the allocated space is difficult to access.

The apartment was perfect as a base to explore Keswick. The lounge, bedrooms & bathroom were comfortable & fully equipped and the kitchen especially useful, with everything you could possibly need. All rooms were clean & well furnished.
The parking was rather tight, but could understand that in a busy town like Keswick. Just glad to be able to park.

It was a beautifully appointed flat.
I was staying in the room with the two single beds. The night before we were leaving I thought I'd check under the two beds to make sure I'd not lost anything. Under one bed I found a pair of socks and a pair of boxers presumably belonging to a previous occupant. Under the other bed there was an empty sweet packet, another bit of rubbish and it seemed quite dirty. Ironically a lot of emphasis had been placed on the occupants keeping the flat clean and whilst in general the flat was very clean under the beds needs to be cleaned also. Also outside alley grimy with overflowing bins.

Small but included everything needed for a family of 4, including 2 teenagers. Comfortable beds. Great location in the centre of town only a stone's throw away from shops and the many places to eat. The Square Orange cafe opposite was great for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening.
Only downside was only 1 set of keys so had to co-ordinate movements.

Mattresses gave 2 of us back / hip ache.
You could hear a lot of noise from upstairs, the people were not excessively noisy, the noise was general walking about, plug sockets being switched on and off, toilet flushing, drawers opening etc.
