Everything and more, highly recommended!!

Nothing to fault alt all, breakfast fantastic, every food you could dream of. Service 10/10. Room spotless and comfortable. Probably the very best location in Funchal.

Struggled to find anything here, if I was held at gun point, I would say that the fridge in the room buzzed at night, but I am a very light sleeper. So probably not a concern for most people.

Perfect location- everything you need

Amazing location right by the sea with a short walk to the city centre (and not far from the aerobus stop) The room was clean and spacious and enjoyed the small balcony with drying rack for swimming costumes/ towels after returning from the pool Great quality and selection at breakfast!

I would have liked to have more Portuguese food on offer so we didn't eat in every night Would have preferred more English language TV channels The double bed was two single beds pushed together (which seemed to be standard)

Beautiful hotel, location is wonderful. I also liked how quiet it was. Everything very comfortable. Lots of fresh fruits at breakfast.

I would have liked a little more variety at the hot breakfast table, for traditional English breakfast I would go to England not to Madeira, though I understand that some people need it.

Great location and friendly staff.

The staff were so friendly. Hotel very clean. Superb location in the old town, on the promenade and very close to the cable car. Loved the outside bar for. drinks and lunch.

Excellent, will definitely visit again

Breakfast was brilliant with a beautiful conservatory to relax and eat in. I left my mobile phone behind in error and the hotel team made sure it was couriered back to me in the UK safe & sound. Lastly, beautiful cocktails I’m happy hour, so well made & friendly staff through the whole hotel

Another great stay

The location is perfect. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are very good.

The only criticism I would have is a lack of vegetarian/ vegan options on the menu.

A lovely hotel in a perfect location next to old town & next to the sea, cable cars & bus stops do very handy. A

perfect location. Adult only so very peaceful & relaxing

Breakfast could have been better. Fruit always looked a bit sad. poached eggs would have been nice & omelettes more than just once a week…. although there were plenty of fried eggs, scrambled & boiled eggs.

Exceptional

This was our third time staying in the hotel. We return because the staff are friendly and really helpful. Despite being quite a large hotel it's like a family run hotel. The whole place is maintained to the highest standard. The food at all meals is varied and delicious. The facilities are great and it's an ideal location for walking into the old town. Views are stunning.

Excellent, recommandable.

In general, everything were good. Breakfast, room, staff and location. We had 14 very pleasant days.

The pool could have been a little deeper, 110 cm is a bit to shallow.

Average hotel experience saved by the location.

Very good location to explore local restaurants and sightseeing.

The outdoor swimming pool is badly designed with a steep slope, cheap plastic sun loungers. The lady that showed everyone where to seat at the breakfast was quite rude and insisted we couldn’t take a bottle of water to the table! No cappuccino for breakfast unless you are prepared to pay extra.
