Pour les points positifs, la quasi majorité du personnel est très agréable, l'endroit est très beau, la vue est magnifique.
Nous avons été choqué de voir que cet établissement est noté 5 étoiles. C'est la premiere fois que je suis déçu par Booking.
- l'hôtel est desué, l'équipement plus que dépassé.
- la literie doit très honnêtement avoir plus de 20ans.
- les animations annoncees sont inexistantes. Le staff d'animation restant au bar...
- la plage est extrêmement sale, pleine de plastiques et de détritus.
- si vous appelez le room service on vous demande de vous déplacer au bar.
- aucun maître nageur ni à la piscine ni à la plage ce qui est pourtant indiqué.
- vous trouverez de la moisissure et de la poussière dans les filtres de la clim et dans l aération de la salle de bain.
Bref pour conclure, l'endroit est sympa mais certainement pas un 5etoiles. Mieux vaut dépenser son argent ailleurs ! Le rapport qualité prix est démesuré (pour info si le café lyophilisé du petit déjeuner ne vous convient pas, il vous en coûtera 2,70 euros.

The hotel location is great-above the beautiful bay and its private beach, the staff is professional and very polite.There is a large buffet selection to chose from and the food is delicious.

Old decoration,bad smell in the room, very bad and uncomfortable beds,no wifi in the rooms,Sunday evening grand buffet was a joke.the hotel needs urgent renovation it's barley 3 stars hotel,we just waited to leave,we regret that we choose this place and will not recommend to others.
On the other hand this place has great potential,great location,nice views,quite pool and beach areas,the management needs to invest money to make this hotel a good one.

The staff was great.
The food could have been and should have been much better. The facility is clearly being de-capitalized and is in need of very major investment. It looks old and worn out and the prices are right up there making those running it a fortune

Staffs and location. Very kind, helpful and friendly staffs, outstanding settings and beautiful beaches nearby. Breakfast, bar and restaurant are great! Location, location, location. The setting of this wonderful hotel is simply stunning. I nearly cried when I saw the view from the top terrace at reception - after 2 years of lockdown in England, to be stood at the top of this wonderful hotel looking out over the stunning bay, bright blue water, sunshine - it was almost overwhelming. I was there in June 22. It was such a wonderful week that I'm going back in two weeks time for another week before winter. This hotel isn't glitzy and glamourous - its a bit rustic, and simple and in places a bit worn. BUT I loved it for that - I loved the care the staff put in, I loved the character, the colours. And because it's so far from the airport (c. 1 hour by direct car) and it's not in a town location, it's peaceful and not full of children.

The selection of food for all meals were varied to meet all tastes and excellent presentation.
Unfortunately the immediate coastline was suffering from waste plastic bags and particles washing in with the tide.To the hotels full credit a man in a purpose built boat with contraption was employed to remove as much of the floating waste as possible during the day.A sterling effort to keep the beach clean throughout the day was witnessed.

View, amphitheater-like hotel, all rooms with sea view, almost all rooms with large terraces. Our room, double superior, very large.
Exceptional pool, large, clean, with salt water. Garden, sunbeds, free towels. The beach itself is big enough, clean .
Restaurant on the beach, good food, not very many options. We had half board, we served meals in the restaurant upstairs, panoramic. Good food, quite varied, very efficient staff, nice, with a smile on their faces.
Wifi pretty bad in the rooms or lack of it.
Morning coffee, any kind,very bad.
The rooms are not cleaned until requested, not even the garbage is taken daily or the bathroom cleaning.
The overall look is quite minimalist, for 3 maximum 4 stars.

This is a wonderful hotel....i gave it a 9. I loved staying there but im using this moment to talk about Plastic.. The Mediterranean now has a real problem with plastic pollution.
It is washing up on the beaches all the time..not just large items like bottles but millions of small pieces of degraded plastic ...it is not the hotels fault of course but the hotel could show more evidence of recycling.
For eg All waste was going in the same bins. Why not have separate bins for recycling? Customers want to help.
Single use plastic needs to be minimised..eg butter and cream pots have to go.
Also hotels should be joining together to show how they are pushing the Government for change.
For eg what % of waste is being recycled in the hotel ? In Crete overall ?
Lastly everyone must be reeducated to respect nature and the sea. I'm a keen snorkellor and removing the 5 or so damaged sunbeds sunk in the sand in the hotels bay would demonstrate care for the ocean. It is all part of the same problem. We all have to make an effort.
And to be clear I really liked this hotel!

The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The lady that ran the little shop on site was absolutely delightful.
The hot food at breakfast was not hot in the slightest. There was a great variety on offer but the hot food avalable was just terrible, they did not use hot plates and it was cold every day. All the other food available was great.

Incredible setting, the views from our room were magnificent. Very friendly staff, especially in the restaurant. The big swimming pool was lovely to swim in and the private beach was peaceful with crystal clear water.
Our room was big with a great balcony but the decor and facilities in it could do with an update. Being English we'd have appreciated a kettle in our room and maybe an extra bed cover.

The location is secluded which makes for a very cozy place in the cove with a beach that is exclusively for the hotel guests.
The architecture is designed to offer unrestricted views of the sea. From the moment you enter the lobby, where the check-in desk is cleverly nestled in a corner in order not to obstruct the breathtaking views, you are continuously overwhelmed by what you see wherever you look.
The major asset, however, is the staff. Everybody is extremely friendly.
The internet in the rooms is so weak, that you barely get a connection unless you sit very close to the balcony door. Even then it is so unstable that it is often impossible to load a website. On the balcony it works fine, but in late October with dropping temperatures and a merciless Melthemi howling across the Aegean Sea this is not exactly the place where you want to, let’s say, do some home-office work.

Good location in a nice little bay. The staff were very diligent in regards to COVID precautions & always polite & helpful. The bed was comfortable & large.
As our flight had moved back a day we needed somewhere to stay near Istron & thought we’d spoil ourselves here. Unfortunately the food on offer was nowhere near the images on the hotel’s website with the outcome of the blandest meal we’ve ever had in Greece.

Very nice warm welcome at the reception, they are so helpful ladies. Easy check in even they gave me free safe key and towel which I didn’t have any cash but they let me to take one. Rooms a bit old but when you see the sea view you forgetting already but beds really comfortable. Private beach makes the hotel a different level. Sea so pure and clean also you have pool option but I never used in 1 week. Food, Breakfast amazing! open buffet and fresh orange juice and everything you need also chef makes fresh omelette with fillings. lunch, a la cart and too many options I tried most of them really delicious. Dinner, I paid for it so they give you a option soup-4 side dish and one main course option(meat,fish or veg) and dessert. Great for what you paid. drinks very reasonable price. Staff very helpful and hard working. Time to time delays happens but over all I enjoyed my 1 week holiday.

They put a nice bottle of red wine along with printed birthday wishes from a friend in my room to help my day seem even more special. Very thoughtful.
No coffee /tea availability in room, empty mini bar (don't remember being asked at check-in if I wanted it stocked).
A la carte menu and full menu have no half portion option -- both were simply too much food for one person to eat and I felt guilty because it was very tasty.
