The location was very good being right in the middle of Ambleside Free Parking

Room wasnt clean, full of cobwebs and dust everywhere, the view out of the window was a dingy back alley for a bar, my laptop was bigger than the Tv, the walls are paper thin didnt really enjoy listening to the other rooms commotion and the constant slamming of doors, didnt know that the pub next door has constant gigs on until the early hours, making sleep elusive, appreciated the free parking but it is a walk away from the place The door didnt feel very secure, very fllimsy, and didnt trust valuables being left in the room

Very spacious room and bathroom. 1 min walk from ambleside bus stop. plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Self checkin and staff was very helpful. perfect stay for 3 people

Only good because of location and price

Location was probably the only great thing about this accommodation. It was good value for money since it's in the centre of Ambleside and the Lake District is always expensive and popular. Good communication with the owner when needed, but should advise travellers that the parking permit is available in the accommodation as well, so we don't go crazy looking for a printer somewhere!

There was no lift and taking a big suitcase upstairs was a bit of a challenge because of the landing space. The car park was really far and the map provided in the permit was NOT clear - what about adding street names to the drawn map or just using the map from google map instead? Or better yet, send the directions on google map! Also, if you look for "Ambleside Central" on Google maps, you won't find the place. Look for "Ambleside Central Room only Accommodation" instead, even if the pictures don't match the kind of room we got. Maybe the owners should report the other "Ambleside Central" because there's nothing there - we were confused and had to call the owner. There wasn't enough space for our suitcases - double room is tight for 2 people with 2 suitcases. Main room lamp didn't work and one of the bed night table lamps had a broken bulb too, so quite dark overall. We only got one towel each, so only a big one for your body - no face/hair towel. Luckily we were only there for one night and didn't wash our hair.

Ambleside Central

Nicely situated for town. Free parking parking a 10 minute walk away. Room was clean and tidy with all the usual amenities.

There was a loud band in the restaurant below on Saturday night which finished about 11 . The parking permit needed printing and the link was only sent the day before travelling.

Ambleside central own the Lily bar next door which blast out music till 1am.

The room was on 3rd floor with separate bathroom. In Booking.com it was though mention separate bathroom no extra info shared and the floor not mentioned too. No phone service in room, no microwave, no fridge

Great location. it's easy to check in, and the room was clean and had all that we needed for a short stay. The Lilys staff are lovely and so helpful. I would recommend this bar, had great food and brilliant entertainment

I would stay there again for the value but staff put us off using the bar below.

clean and tidy with good value for money free parking but it’s about a 5/10 minute walk

staff were not very helpful with directions to the room when checking in at the bar as we ended up in completely the wrong building. check in was at 3pm and doors were still locked. had to wait outside till they decided they wanted to open even though they could see we were waiting.
