Fox & Hounds is a lovely place to stay every one was really nice.

Breakfast was one of the best 😋 Brilliant location for hiking and walking. That's exactly what we done,had a wonderful time.

Es roch sehr nach Gülle , da kann das Hotel natürlich nichts dafür. Das Haus hat seine besten Tage schon hinter sich. Starker Sanierungsstau. Nicht besonders modern.

Great stay in the family room & fabulous food

Very helpful hosts & fabulous food. Excellent value.

It’s not the Ritz but perfectly suited for normal people. Noisy road as secondary glazing didn’t fit.

Breakfast excellent. Ploughman's lunch superb! Local beer pretty good. Excellent parking! Pleasant clientele. Bedroom view.

Too many stairs [for us] - LOL. Lack of handrails/bannisters on lower staircase... probably not up to code... hazardous with suitcases.

Not the ritz but great value

Location so close to the moors. Breakfast Exceptional value for money. Room size. View. Check in/out times generous

The congealed soap. The crispy bath mat. A shirt left in the closet. Spiders by the bed.

Amazing location with a beautiful walk to the moors on your doorstep room was super comfy and spotless food was amazing and the staff were so friendly there's nothing not to love about this place breakfast was really good will 100% be returning

Mould on the ceiling by the door. Windows were difficult to open Tv quite far away Toilet roll not replaced in the morning when hot beverages were replaced in room

Lovely people lucky find.

Rooms were very clean, beds comfy and breakfast was wonderful. We also had our evening meal in the restaurant which was nicely busy with lovely good and choice. We met some really friendly chatty customers and the staff were great. Would definitely stop again if passing by

An exceptional find.

It's not often that I've given exceptional reviews. The Fox and Hounds though was excellent value for money and extremely pet friendly. Pub dinner was a good pub dinner with excellent service. The room was clean, large, nicely decorated with a brand new bathroom and a decent shower. Treats outside for the dogs! Breakfast was amazing and even the dogs were offered sausages (though the offer was turned down much to their disappointment!). The pub is next to a track leading up to the moor making a great way to walk the dogs. Service was excellent throughout and could not be faulted. A great stay and strongly recommended.

Nothing could really be improved upon. This is an exceptional find and hard to beat anywhere especially within that price backet.

We enjoyed everything, especially the young staff people, but the cold got to us!

Food, staff excellent. Room itself was fine…

But very,very cold for North Americans. Charge a few extra dollars we enjoyed And turn on the heat! Guests should not have to sleep with their sweaters on!

Overall excellent overnight stay.

Room was very clean, staff all friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal in the bar which was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. We would definitely stay again.

Our room (6) had steps down to the en-suite, but the steps were uneven, including a recessed area at the top, which we both stumbled into, with myself falling over. Some warning signage would be good. When we came out of our room for breakfast we almost fell over mounds of bedding and cleaning equipment and had to negotiate around them.
