Location and design of the hotel
This was my first time when I had an ugly argument with a hotel staff. I travel a lot worldwide and have never seen such an attitude before, especially coming from a restaurant manager. I ordered a meal called sikilpak and they served me something else instead with pumpkin seeds on top that are not on the menu item description. I asked a waitress to check with kitchen because it doesn’t look right. Later I had to explain myself multiple times to the wait staff and their manager Itzabelle. They kept arguing with me trying to convince me that this is the meal I ordered and yes lots of pumpkin seeds should be on a platter even though it’s not in the menu. Instead of fixing the meal, Itzabelle was very rude and aggressive with me. At the end she became sarcastic to my suggestion to fix the menu to reflect the seeds or remove them from the meal. It was bad experience. Overall, I received an impression that the entire restaurant staff is sick and tired of guests. I didn’t feel welcomed at Canopy. Too bad, no more Canopy hotel for me, even though it’s located in a great area right next door to the shopping center and beach.

L’hotel è molto bello e la mia stanza era pronta qualche minuto prima dell’orario di check-in (che è stato rapido e veloce). Mi è stata data la camera che avevo prenotato, molto ben arredata e spaziosa.
La doccia è grande con prodotti da bagno complementari, acqua calda e pressione dell’acqua adeguata (cose alquanto rare in Messico). Forniscono l’acqua in bottiglia per fortuna (non è così in ogni hotel) e il wifi sia in camera che in reception funziona benissimo.
Avrei dato il punteggio massimo se non fosse che ho trovato macchie e capelli fra le lenzuola, il che è totalmente inaccettabile per qualsiasi hotel ma specialmente uno appartenente alla catena Hilton! Non importa se l’ospite alloggia per una sola notte (come nel mio caso), le lenzuola vanno cambiate!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all, it had no beach access, had to walk 20 mins to access a public beach, there was no parking available, our request to change breakfast to dinner was outrightly rejected and very rudely, they said they will not do anything and will be charged, Once they said $3, then $30 then $60 it changed every time

La relación precio/calidad fue pésima, la habitación fue poco confortable, un hotel relativamente nuevo con mala mantención y mal diseño en sus habitaciones, lamentablemente me dejé llevar por un hotel de la cadena Hilton, pero Canopy Hotel está muy lejos del estándar que tiene dicha cadena hotelera.

Comfortable stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great---my husband enjoyed his omelette during our stay. One of the better breakfast for the price of stay. Stroll the mall---access directly from lobby. Nice rooftop bar including poolside.

I had a junior suite, Room 101. It was great having the space and felt very spacious and comfortable. Loved the dining room table and modular furniture. Great contemporary design. The rooftop pool area was really nice too. The pool, jacuzzi and bar were awesome. Great views and great staff at front desk, rooftop bar, restaurant and housekeeping. My junior suite was a very quiet room with nice views and very comfortable bed. I loved that I could close off the living room from the bedroom. The double bathrooms were unexpected, as was the double showerheads in the giant party shower. The vanities were beautiful and spacious. Overall, it was an unexpected treat. I would highly recommend the junior suite for the price!
The property is not on the beach, and requires a 10 minute walk to public access for beaches. but the shopping and resturant access is great since it is connected to La Isla shopping Mall. The hotel is apparently THE hotel to the airlines. So the amount of transient flight attendants and pilots of every airline flooded the lobby day and night. As the property is probably the best hotel for the airlines given how new and clean it is. It is not a resort property, but more boutique. The nightime views to downtown Cancun and giant ferriswheel provide spectacular views, versus looking out into darkness every night when staying on the oceanside. Overall it was hard to find anything wrong with this property. Especially if you are there for a short stay or business. It is a really nice property. If big resort all-inclusive is your vibe, then look elsewhere. But this fresh new property hits a lot of buttons for most people. I would definitely recommend the property....and give it 5 stars for what you get.

I liked the location. Right beside a shopping mall with tons of food options as well as a pharmacy next door that made snacking easy. The swing in the room was amazing and relaxing to look out to the beach. I loved that there were several plugs, one on each side of the bed and a small table on each side. The shower was large and the water stayed hot throughout my entire shower. I mention that because a lot of hotels water does not stay hot the entire time.
Breakfast was not included. Most hotels offer free breakfast.

I love the property it was a beautiful place and lots of things to do around the lunch and breakfast was a amazing and our room was super clean and the housekeeper did a amazing job she even made swans out of the towels and organized everything In the room the rooftop pools were amazing it had a gorgeous view overall the hotel and food and housekeeping and Room service gets a 10/10
even though the stay was amazing there is something things I didn’t like the first behind booking the hotel a week before my check in I asked was there any kind of security deposit and they told me yes which was going to be $200 when I checked in it was $300 was a little disappointed about that and also I told them when they will return that deposit and they said the same day which I didn’t get the deposit back so when I checked out I still didn’t get the deposit back and they told me to wait a couple days because it was my bank problem at that point and I called my bank and they told me I should get it back sometime this week usually this doesn’t happen but I just wanted people to be aware of that I didn’t like the fact that they lied about the deposit apart from that everything else was amazing.

my life I would never ever stay here again I went for surgery & asked not to be disturbed yet they called my room every day to wake me up then I would go to the front desk and ask him not to do it the next day, and it would happen again every single day of my stay, they charged me 93 dollars American for breakfast that’s supposed to be only $24 after talking to the manager & her arguing with me tried to say that they would take the tip out of the peoples paycheques who got the tip for the breakfast, but they wouldn’t reimburse me for the two meals we didn’t eat which I refused. I’m not gonna take a tip out if someone’s paycheque ,they refuse to credit us the difference, Vanessa, the manager is one of the most horrible human being I’ve ever met in my life and a liar
