Gute, einfache Unterkunft

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Unterhalb Arthur's Seat und auch nur 30min bis zur Royal Mile. Bushaltestelle vor der Tür. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber, Betten bequem. Es ist recht klein. Mit großen Reisekoffern könnte es sehr eng werden, mit unserem Handgepäck war es ok. Der Vermieter hat auf Anfragen umgehend reagiert. Schlüssel gibt es über einen Safe, Nacht-Check-in war kein Problem. Zum Frühstück sind wir ins Cafe zu Morrisons gegangen. 5min Weg, reichliche Auswahl. Je nach Anspruch völlig ausreichend.

Personale gentilissimo e accogliente, meno caro della media di Edimburgo e servito molto bene dai mezzi pubblici. La fermata è davanti alla struttura e ci si può muovere con comodità.

Spartano, stanza piccola,non vicinissimo al centro, non particolarmente curato. Per una, due notti va bene, non oltre.

Bra område o nära stan, men nergånget o omysigt ställe som luktar illa.

Bra förbindelse till stan, busshållplatsen låg andra sidan gatan.

Ser inte ut som på bilderna, låg grön plast tejpad på golvet i entréhallen, luktade mögel. Ogräs och trädgårdsslang liggande utanför ingången, vissna blommor i krukorna osv. Finns ingen möjlighet till frukost, vilket det står på Booking.com att man kan få.

Great stay, would book again!

Easy to get to the centre of Edinburgh, 15 minutes on the bus, £2 for a single. Free on street parking around the property, rooms were basic but clean, warm, comfortable and quiet which was very good for the price.

Only minor issue was the shower button didn’t stay on so you had to hold it to keep the shower on but it worked fine and was a nice shower so I wasn’t particularly bothered.

Good place to stay for a couple of days

Hazim was very good. He sent clear instructions as to how to check in, wifi etc, and would reply quite soon if I sent him any issues by text. Having the all-day snacks downstairs was really appreciated as we were out most of the day visiting, and so we were able to snack on something once we got back. It was very cold (we went in November), but he turned on the heating straight away. The location is good, there is a bus stop right outside and it's not far from the centre. We were able to leave our bags in the morning (we arrived towards 10am) and then went out to visit the city.

There are coffee and tea facilities in the rooms but none downstairs. It would have assisted to have coffee and tea downstairs to have with the cereal. A microwave downstairs would also be great. The double bed was small (my mother almost falls off one night) and there was a group of girls who were very noisy. The sink was half blocked in our room, which wasn't great. I reported it but I guess there was no one available to come fix it as it was the same when we came back in the evening.

Passable

The guest house is situated outside the city centre in a nice living area with good bus connections to the centre.

The room was rather small and the bathroom was particularly tiny. The shower was of cheap quality. The breakfast was poor, no fresh products at all. No personal contact to the owner which was disappointing.

Great! I'll be back!

The atmosphere of the house was brilliant because I remembered the one I used to live a long time ago.

The location is a bit suburbia so it's comfortable to stay with my family but it's a bit far from city centre and it takes 20 or 30 minutes to get there.

Nice house in typical Schottish style.

Close by the bus stop. Quite nice bed leafs. The friendly staff have given us good recommandations for dinner.

It was cold. The room no. 1 was pretty small for three people.

Location is very convenient, castle and the town centre is in a walkable distance

What a shame, a little effort would ensure guest satisfaction

The location is superb, on the bus route to the city every 10 minutes

Please could the proprietor employ a cleaner, or if he does employ one, ensure they clean the bathroom and bedroom prior to a new guest. My room was not properly cleaned, the milk sachets were curdled solid. The bathroom bin had not been emptied. The whole property needs a jolly good clean

Location. Bedroom comfortable.

Limited selection at breakfast - mostly sugary items of poor quality. Reported fault with sink plug but no action taken. No towels on arrival but these were supplied later.

we only got 2 big towels for 3 of us so had to use a little towel for our son and under the drain cap was full of mould which i cleaned and the range hood had a lot of dust on it and had to clean that to

Loved my stay at Brae!!

Loved the place, location and specially the owner Mr Kadum. The place has a very warm vibe to it and quite welcoming. Check in and out was very convenient. 2 things that stood out was that owner was quite responsive through chats and answered all questions almost immediately. Secondly they provide basic fruits, nibbles / muffins throughout the day in the living room which was really nice if them. Breakfast timing was fixed but the living room continued to have basic stuff available throughout the day in those emergency hunger situations. Will definitely visit again.

The bathroom was slightly small.

the place is nice, clean and quite. bus stop that takes you directly to city center is right in-front of the place, it takes only few minutes to city center. i would recommend the place. :)

- Staff was very helpful. - An extra bed for the child. - Check in process was simple.

Pleasant, easy check-in and just a short drive from Old Town so location was great. Easy street parking within one minut

Quaint, warm and homely stay with a beautiful dining area. Lovely and very accommodating host who gave the option of baggage drop off.

Bedding could use updating for newer pillows and mattress.
