A thoroughly enjoyable mini-break
We had the first floor to ourselves so enjoyed the peaceful privacy and that the lovely Donna was on hand if needed.

Gorgeous barn, fab location would recommend
The barn was stunning and the two rooms we had were massive , clean and had tea/ coffee and biscuits , Donna was lovely and she brought choccie Cocoa Cockapoo with her each morning who was a cute bonus! It was easy to drive to and we caught a bus into Oxford one day - the bus stop was a short walk and £2 single per person. Better option as Oxford not easy place in a car due to roadworks. . The hop on hop off bus round Oxford and walking tour in between is a must! We ate twice at the Bear and ragged staff pub a few minutes drive down the road- lovely pub, great food. Another recommendation! Loved Sabine barn, it was a great option instead of a hotel, We would go back!! Also it would be a great place to rent out entirely as a bunch of friends or a family.
The bathroom to the big suite is part over the open lounge, so you can easily hear the loo flush and shower running etc which may not suit everyone. The lounge lights are on a motion sensor which we couldn’t turn off so they flicked on/off in the evening when we moved in the sofa/ chairs.

The Superior room lived up to its name
It took me 15 mins from the pear tree park and ride, which was perfect for me. I had the Superior room, which was a really large sized room with a comfortable couch. There’s mirrored closets which are a nice touch, and the private bathroom has beautiful high end specs and a decent shower. It even has a heated towel rack which is another bonus! I really couldn’t fault the place, as a single traveller it felt very safe, and will def return if I’m in the area. I was close enough to Oxford to drive in with ease, and far enough from the city that I woke up and heard birdsong, which is such a great way to start your day.
I can’t think of anything. I will note that if you use WAZE as a traffic app, it wants you to go and turn R slightly before the entrance which for me was on the L. So if you’re using the app, just double check and make sure you turn where you see the big sign that says SABINE as shown in the pics of the property. But that’s the apps issue and not the host!!!
