About this house rental
Live the Malibu dream! Sweeping canyon and ocean views from a PERFECT balcony.
Whether it's the glistening ocean during the day, the afternoon sunset over the mountains or star gazing at night - relax and enjoy.
A charming and renovated house with all of the modern amenities (WiFi, Smart TV, AC, Washer / Dryer and a BBQ). Three beds + two pull out sofa beds. Ideal for families or traveling groups.
Excellent location in Malibu for the ocean or for local hikes (5 min).
Comes with driveway parking!
The space - A two story house with three bedrooms and an open floor plan kitchen. There is a queen bed in each of the three bedrooms. There are also two queen size pull out sofa beds in the house for extra guests. The house has two full bathrooms (one with a bath tub), and a large living room.
There is also a BBQ located outside and an outdoor seating / eating area on a second patio under twinkling hanging lights. The kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials from plates and cups to basic cooking equipment.
I have the house professionally cleaned between between each guest and provide fresh linens and towels for each stay. Also shampoo / soap and essentials are provided.
The house has fast WiFi as well as a Smart TV with Netflix and Hulu already logged in.

Short but sweet. The sunset view was spectacular. The outdoor space really made the stay enjoyable. The hill was a thrill.

Overall: I would consider staying here again, but would start looking at other options first before booking here for the 2nd time.
The place was clean and comfortable. We felt safe the entire time. The kitchen had all your basic necessities with some cooking utensils and basic seasonings. The kitchen utensils were hand-me-downs, but it did not affect the function.
Bathrooms were stocked with towels and basic shampoo/conditioner/body wash.
The thermostat was a bit of a fuss to deal with, but Morty, the property manager, was well-aware and invited assistance as needed in a prompt manner.
The house itself is a bit odd in construction and layout. It's clear it was converted from the original home layout, though perhaps in a rush to start housing guests. While it did not bother us, the main issue was that some things were broken and not well-maintained. The sliding door was falling off its track, a bathroom was missing a vent fan, a light was missing a lamp shade, etc. Do not come here expecting perfection, but it was a nice place to stay and spend time with friends.

Celebrated my birthday weekend here and it was absolutely perfect for my group! We used the grill and kitchen to cook and the view was absolutely beautiful. Morty was responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The beach is a close drive as well. There’s also plenty of parking on the driveway and parking spaces dedicated to guests in front. The house had everything we needed!

I surprised my wife for her 40th birthday with a handful of friends that came in for the weekend and this was the perfect place for them. It is unbelievably quiet with a stunning view of the PCH and the Pacific. Morty was very accommodating--he was in the woods in Idaho or something and got on the phone with my wife to walk her through the thermostat. It's a great house, lots of different spaces, cool rooms, just a good vibe overall. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Would rent from Morty again anytime!

You don’t get no phone service and it’s to far up you cannot walk to the beach and the parking is bad if you’re in a big car or truck and it’s very dark at night and the roads to get up here all small and scary

The location of the house is AMAZING! The drive back and forth to the house was so beautiful! The view from the outdoor balcony is breath taking! Plenty of space for my husband, myself and our 3 adult children. We spent our days shopping and at the beach. Although the temperature cools down in the evening I would have preferred ceiling fans in all the bedrooms to circulate the air during the day. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone interested in visiting Malibu!

A few girlfriends and I had a lovely time at Morty's property in Malibu. The location was just perfect to explore Malibu and its amazing beaches. We also spent lots of time on the beautiful deck enjoying the breeze and sunset! Clean, had everything we needed, would stay here again!

My family and I stayed here in Feb and it was a blast. The location was great and the sunsets were amazing. Close enough to the beach to drive down and find a spot. My only small gripes are the kitchen wasn’t stocked super well for all of our cooking needs, and as other people have commented the outdoor furniture has been worn down quite a bit since the photos were taken. That said, my family and I had a quiet and relaxing time and we would come back and stay again!

Amazing views
This property worked very well for our group and we loved the views of the Pacific Ocean from the rooftop deck. We ate brunch there and it was simply amazing; it has plenty of room for everyone to sit and eat, and also has a couple of lounger chairs for relaxing in the sun. After site seeing during the days, we relaxed in the living area watching Netflix shows together. We liked having four separate sleeping areas also. The hosts were very responsive to questions and offered to help with any needs that came up. We would stay here again without a doubt.
