I recommend this place

I liked the location of the house and the ease of the rental and the helpful staff.

The house was very clean inside and spacious. The location was excellent for sking and entertainment in Truckee. Trout Creek Rec had a lot of activities and with the guest passes from the rental we were able to utilize the facility.

More work than vacation

The house location was great, however VERY hard to see from the road with the mounds of snow that build up in front of the property. We also loved the set up of the house, and the decor. Mostly all we needed was available to us.

The house had many problems! The lights in two of the bedrooms had electrical issues, one room the lights didnt come on at all, however just flickered once, so we knew it wasnt the bulb. All the remotes in the house batteries were dead. The home was out of the Icey Melt that was supposed to be supplied so our cars slide in and out of the driveway, one shower was unusable because the shower door was broken, one was chosen not to be used because the water pressure was so bad, there was a towel bar that was missing and only on end of the bar holder was sticking out of the wall at the height of our childrens heads; and last of all, the day before we left, the sink literally fell 2/3 out of the granite counter it was poorly fastened too. Very dangerous conditions with our 3 small children, not to mention we had two different service men for some of these issues sharing our vacation with us. It really was a shame because the house was set up to be exactly what we wanted. Minus all that Ive disclosed. The upside was after many phone calls and a couple emails with attached photos, the owner and Vacasa extended their apologies for all that happened, and we were give 2/3 of the cost of our stay. Considering we drove 3.5 hours to get there, in 2 cars, and had to pay for an aid to accompany us to take this vacation (because our youngest is special needs) I think that was the least that could be done, and appreciate their taking our refund request seriously. Without all of the issues I've shared, this house would be a wonderful place to stay!
