Cute little spot near oxbow. Short drive to downtown. Great kitchen if you cook. Neighborhood seems Soso during the day and strangely decent at night. Pretty ideal. Best deal the weekend we stayed even over all the hotels. Worked out great.

We ended up really liking the location of this place. It's within walking distance of Old Port and other places but just blocks from multiple breweries and restaurants in that area. Breweries are plentiful out there. Place was clean and nic with easy in and easy out.

Clean, well appointed, close to port area, great parking spot

The owners /management were great. I can’t think of anything they could do better. The place is cute spacious, very clean. Other reviews complain about neighbors and location. One night we heard the upstairs people come home, other than that totally quiet. It is very walkable to tons of restaurants /bars/shops. It’s just not down in old port like some of the hotels. The neighborhood is just a bit of a mix of older places and rehabbed places. We never felt unsafe at all. I would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I picked the Portland area to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a great time exploring Maine and our stay at the "Foodies Delight" was great. The place was centrally located to many of the charming neighborhoods that Portland has to offer.
4.0
The place was nice and cozy. The place was mostly clean but we did find a few spots that could have been cleaned better (Kitchen Table). Other than this the place was great.

The property itself was clean and communication initially seems great. Master bed was comfortable. Pull out couch mattress has seen better days. Be aware- this property is run by a company (Vacasa) not an individual person. When we arrived the wifi was not working. We kept getting an error message that the router needed to be reset however there was no router found in the areas we could access in the unit. I contacted Vacasa that night by chat and by phone. The chat first told me that wifi was not provided at the unit (in contradiction to the listing info) then shortly thereafter I was given the name and password (which I already had) and then was told to reset the router multiple times even though I had made it clear there was no router in the unit. I had a little more success with the operator however his solution was to send out a local person to fix it who was supposed to contact me before coming so I knew to expect a stranger at the door but I did not receive any calls and no one came to fix it during our stay. I received no follow up communication from Vacasa. Location was convenient. Could walk to Old Port and the harbor easily.

My two sisters and I loved everything about the place especially the kitchen and the temperature control via AC or heat.
The only concern about the place is that it took 1-3 tries each time we had to unlock the front door by code. There was supposed to be music to help but couldn't really hear anything. May need some attention but have to admit we never alerted anyone at the time thinking it was related to our ineptitude!
I tried to do this review on the Vacasa site but the page never came up (arrow round and round...).

I could have moved right in with all the amenities. We especially liked the gas fireplace, bathroom and kitchen. King bed was comfortable. Pullout couch no comfortable for our adult son, but would be fine for kids or teenagers. Off-street parking was a treat. Easily accessible to downtown and neighborhood shops, restaurants and bakeries, walking or driving.

The kitchen was very well equipped. Living room was so cozy with the fire. Bed was super comfortable. The unit has really tall ceilings and is cozy. Only issue was the dog upstairs. They kept barking and whining.

Beautiful and spacious 1 bedroom apartment in a comfortable neighborhood. Bed was good. We enjoyed the gas fireplace during our December stay. Walked to everything in Portland and had a great time. Our only complaints were that we didn't know they didn't provide coffee, and for brewing options we had the choice of a Keurig or a percolator. Also the ice maker in the refrigerator wasn't working and there were no ice cube trays. And there were practically no condiments or cooking necessities such as oil or spices outside of salt and pepper. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful visit and we would happily come back here the next time we visit.

We could not have chosen a better location or home for our girls trip! My two daughters and I decided on a trip to Portland Maine just because we had never been. The location was so convenient and great walking distance to some fantastic shops and restaurants. Day trips to Kennybunkport and Camden neither of which were far away. Place was so comfortable, clean and quiet we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Loved this property. This was our last stop after traveling all through Maine. Everything was clean and location was great. Had off street parking and we could walk everywhere. Only note I would offer to property managers is heavier curtains for bedroom.

Great location in trendy neighborhood make this property ideal for seasoned travelers who are comfy walking in an urban environment. We especially enjoyed proximity to great dining and the harbor. We would have preferred the property be cleaner and the bed more comfortable.

At first, with the road construction and a boarded up building a few blocks away, we were apprehensive, but those misgivings soon vanished. This place is great. Close enough to downtown to walk (long walk but saves ridiculous parking fees). Great restaurants and convenience stores near by. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The owner really thought of everything. Beautiful home with many upgrades. We really enjoyed our vacation, and hope to return in the future.

I gave Communication with the Property Manager a "Good" because we really had no communication with them. There were a couple of text communications with Vacasa, the property management company, but there was no reason for any other communication. I gave the location/neighborhood a "Good" because there were a couple of side streets that were concerning. We were also surprised by the number of homeless people in the City of Portland. Overall we were glad we stayed here and would stay here again if we went back to Portland.

This home is so cozy. The kitchen appliances are great. The fireplace warms the heart ad the heated bathroom floor is a treat. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Place was very clean and had all the amenities. Close for grocery shopping and not that far from the sea ward for food/ shopping. Thank again for the experience. Only thing is put a privacy blind on the front door.

Nice, updated condo. Location was great as it allowed us to walk to all of the sights and it was very close to a number of really nice restaurants. Would have given it 5 stars except bathroom shower had mold.

This unit is delightful! Only three steps to enter. The large kitchen window is great for watching the snow. Walking distance to food and drugstore. Cozy fireplace too.
Very comfortable. I would come back.

Great.

This home was beautiful, comfortable and clean. However the blinds on the bedroom windows were not fitted snuggly, leaving a 1 1/2” - 2” gap which made it very easy for anyone to look in the sides of the windows. Otherwise it was a sweet home.

Beautifully decorated, full kitchen, stacking washer and dryer were much appreciated (this was our last of three destinations).

Perfect Portland getaway
Loved everything about this property. The proximity to the local food co-op was perfect for making breakfast each morning in that wonderful kitchen. Such a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of great espresso, beer, distillery, and Duck Fat Frites. Easy to get anywhere in and outside of Portland from here. The bed was huge and comfy, the whole property was immaculate inside and out. We hope to come back again next time business takes us to the area!

comfortable home in a great location
mid december is admittedly an odd time to be on vacation in portland me, but unseasonably warm weather and lack of snow worked out to our advantage even if half the state shuts down in october. this house was an easy walk to good restaurants, bars, and an out of this world hilltop sunset view. it was meticulously clean and everything in the home was in good working order. there are people living above the unit, and they were somewhat audible walking around, but everything got very quiet after 10pm, so it was not an issue for us. would definitely stay here again, but maybe before the October shutdown ;-)
4.0
Nice place with some rough edges.
The place is nice and modern, if a bit sterile feeling. The kitchen lacked things like coffee (to use in the percolator, the only coffee maker provided) and even sugar (we left some). The kitchen knives appeared to have not been sharpened for years.
When we arrived we discovered the gas fireplace would not light. We phoned the manager (actually an acting manager filling in for the "actual" manager, who was away), who promised someone would get in touch about a repair person to come by to fix it. The next day after an outing we returned to find the fireplace blazing away. We assumed it had been repaired and the repair person hadn't bothered to call us.
However, after turning the fireplace off for the night, it again refused to light the following morning, leaving two possibilities: 1) the fireplace has to be lit by a repair person each time, who had done so without notifying us, or 2) the fireplace had spontaneously lit itself in our absence. Neither scenario is exactly ideal. We were unable to use it again.
We also had an issue with the washing machine, which refused to allow any manual adjustment to the preset settings, like temperature (the manual beside the washer explained in detail how it should work, but it just wouldn't). We explained this issue to the manager our first evening there as well.
And that was the only and final conversation we received from the Vacasa management.
An actual Vacation Rental BY OWNER, with the possibility of interaction with the true owner, seems to me so much more satisfactory.

Great location for exploring Portland on foot
We enjoyed our stay at A Foodie’s Delight. Only complaint is that the “Foodie’s Delight” is misleading to some extent. Top of the line major appliances, but very sparse on food prep. Things like old school percolator and missing corkscrew are examples. We are foodies, but fortunately we were not in Portland to eat in, so no big deal for us.

Would definitely recommend!
As soon as you walk in you will be happy you chose this property. Right around the corner are restaurants and a great brewery. Within walking distance to many others. Loved the mattress on the bed also. Slept great.

Mostly pros. Some cons.
Pros
Clean, well appointed. Great TV options. Comfortable furniture and bed. Great kitchen.
Cons
Could not get clothes dryer to work properly. Kept shutting off after a few minutes. Tried fewer clothes at a time, same results. Could not locate manual. Also could not get fireplace to work. Could not contact owner with questions.

Perfect house!
We loved this house and wish we could live in one just like it! Plenty of space and very comfortable bed. Great location, beautiful kitchen, and nice bathroom!

Minor, but annoying problems
nice place—new and attractive, comfortable bed, A/C worked well, ang great locationon the east end with lots of restaurants near by. Annoyances were: #1. an App-based tv. Difficult to use and the problems that can happen when you stream—frame freezes, dropouts, pixelization—can happen on any station. #2- when we arrived and saw a brand new kitchen, we said wow! however found that the ice maker and filtered water on the fridge didn’t work. Reported to the management company on the Wednesday we arrived—not resolved until Monday. #3 Safety issue: found that when you were reheating a cup of coffee and using the toaster oven at the same time, it popped the circuit breaker. dangerous and needs to addressed by an electrician.

Beautiful kitchen, great location
We spent a week In this apartment in a perfect location, about a15 minute walk to downtown Portland. It has been very thoughtfully and tastefully redone by the owner. Absolutely top line kitchen appliances, good lighting, easy access, off street parking. The only negatives are lack of some basic extras we have come to expect ( a drip coffee maker, not a percolator; basic pantry items like salt and pepper, napkins, placemats), very soft mattress and bright bedroom with no blackout shades, and lack of instructions for some appliances or a user manual. Addressing these would make it a perfect rental.
2.5
This apartment is well located, on the first floor (3 steps to the door) and has its own dedicated parking place right by the entrance. It appears to have been recently renovated and beautifully done at that. And, with the bedroom in the back it was very quiet for sleeping.
There were 2 of us and this is a fairly spacious apartment with a large living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The washer and dryer are a nice feature.

Gréât location, newly renovated
Able to walk anywhere from this newly renovated apartment attached to a house. Brand new clean. Has its own entrance and is completely private. Has a parking space in its own driveway. Not a single downside.
