Too expensive for the services.

No doubt, the setting is nice, off the beaten path. The Auberge is renovated, clean, functional. The room was adequate for 4. We paid EUR 83 which is competitive at first site, unless you add very basic breakfast for EUR 12 per person which is not worth it. The “frozen food based cuisine” they serve is dull, uninspiring. It comes easily to EUR 30+/ person. All in all we have spent well over EUR 200 for three. No A/C. No WIFI. Too much much money for the experience and the quality.

Quiet little get away

Lovely accommodation in a very old village with amazing views. We loved every thing about our little vacation. There is so much in the area to see and do. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but used the kitchen in the room every night and admired the amazing views. We would stay here again.

There is no aircon and it was very hot and humidity whilst we were there in summer, as Aussie we are used to having aircon. Also it’s best to have a hirer car to access the hotel as there is no public transport or amenities in the villege.

Lovely staff, nice location, very good food. If you come by bike (without electric support) be aware that you might need to push your bike a bit.

Very nice place, I can definitely recommend it

Very beautiful house and location. Perfect for cyclists as there is a big garage for the velo. Very good food and very friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay.

We would not hesitate to stay again at Auberge de Motz.

It was only a short distance away from the Via Rhona although it was up a steep hill, no problem for e-bikes but other cyclists might struggle at the end of the day. Staff very friendly. Food great. Room well equipped.

There was nothing to dislike about this place.

Great restaurant, very kind and helpful staff! Beautiful isolated village. The hotel is right near a church, so the church bells were heard during the night.. and morning. Overall we had a great stay!

Amazing food - how is it possible to serve such good food in such a remote village?! (recommend the daily menu), plus friendly service staff and comfy beds.
