It was ok for a one night stop,but I’m glad it wasn’t an extended stay

The setting and historic inn were good.

It was on a beautiful pond, but had no beach. The add said the room had a balcony but it was enclosed. It was quite far from a restaurant, so some sort of breakfast could be offered.

Restful place calling me to return.

The Lake Shore Inn was lovely - quiet, scenic, and comfortable. Unfortunately I was traveling for work and arrived a bit later than planned so missed out on watching the sunset over the lake-but I did enjoy the sunrise as I had coffee on my lake view porch. I want to definitely return with my family as this is a lovely quaint Inn for a holiday. (The fire pit outside looked like a fun place to take in that sunset!). Bed and linens were very comfy. I appreciated the in room microwave to heat up my snacks since I did arrive late as well.

I could use more in-depth instructions on the streaming TV- although I am sure many people are more versant than I am with this technology.

I would recommend highly!

Lake Shore Farm Inn is a peaceful slice of paradise! The bed comfortable and the bedding was sooooo soft. We had a lovely view of the lake. The owner is very hospitable. The water is from a well and I wanted to gallons of it home. It's off the beaten track a little and that is what makes it so relaxing.

Home feel

Friendly and comfortable. Owner met us at the door! Like staying with family. Was quiet and relaxing. Liked the old tavern, they should consider opening it up again.

Probably more going on during the spring and summer months.

Pleasant

Very comfy bed. Cute room

Walls are super thin you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbor does. Smell of stale cigarette smoke the first night. Seemed to be better thr second night or we were just used to it.

Disappointed

There was no breakfast or food service.

The facility was run down. The sheets were dirty and when we requested new sheets we arrived back later that evening to a bed that was made but the same dirty sheets were still on the bed. I looked at staying at another hotel, but to pay $500 for 2 nights after paying for are room already with no refund available was out of the question. I only saw someone once the enitre time I was there from the staff and that is when we checked in. There was food in the refrigerator from the last guests. I was there for a 30 year military reunion thank goodness we were busy and spent little time in the room. If I was booking.com I wouldn't put my reputation on the line for a mere booking fee.

Our stay was short and no breakfast offered and not a friendly atmosphere! Never greeted!!!

I don’t know what I liked because the fact that we explained to desk receptionist that we were late due to traffic she was very short and rude and never asked if there was anything we needed! Just gave us a bad feeling of being there!

The hospitality and friendly attitude was not there at all! We were tired and driving for ours and we were never given a friendly welcoming!!!

The lake and beach area

The room rates are the same for drastically different rooms! I.e. updated vs. Outdated It smells old and like mildew, water damage on lower floors, broken bathroom door.

Bad

The place was not how it was described in Booking.com. They have one canoe with no paddles, one kayak and one paddle boat with a broken rudder. There was only one person we saw working. No restaurant, just a tavern which was only open Friday and Saturday. No cable TV. We had to use our own Netflix’s. The beach front wasn’t clean and the whole property needed repairs.

The “balcony” is just a room with a bunch of windows that connects three rooms. Not private at all, ridiculously small for a deluxe and expensive as well. Not considered a deluxe at all.

From the time I checked in, that was the only time I saw anybody who worked there and I stayed for 3 nights, even check out time no one was around I had to leave a note with the key on the main desk.
