nice but bed was bad

The staff are really nice, I can’t fault them at all. The food was nice. Interior of the building is in need of refurbishment although the dining room is nice.

Our room needs refurbishing and The bathroom is poor and in desperate need of refurbishment. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and we did mention it to the stuff.

Definitely stay here again!

Hosts were very welcoming - a lovely couple, nothing was too much trouble. Room clean and comfortable and breakfast was very, very nice 😁

Very upsetting for the money we paid...Expecting a nice hotel...

The location was amazing.

The place was very old and dated...The bed's where only 3 quarter and not double...The place smelt of damp...In need of a lot of modernisation, very old and the shower door didn't shut and the bathroom door stuck...

Expensive room for what it was.

Breakfast was delicious and location was superb

Rooms in need of serious modernisation. Paid £70 for the smallest room ever..! Pretty sure the bed was 3/4 quarter size to fit in the room. Staff very friendly and breakfast was good.

Location

Cold rooms, heating only came on at 4pm.had to run water for 5 minutes before the hot water came through. Excellent location though and lyn was very helpful.

Exceptional

Excellent location, staff go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast included in stay which is always a plus.

No parking so had to pay the £18.00 for 72 which still isn’t bad. The hotel could definitely do with some modernisation in rooms and hallways but overall Excellent stay.

location

The property is very outdated needs a lot of money spending on it, the carpet in our room was thread bare and you had to run the hot water in the sink for ages to get any water in the shower. The room was not nice at all, the window outside was filthy never seen a cloth in years. The owner is very grumpy in fact nasty. I lost my key and went to speak with him to offer to pay for a replacement, which I did pay for. I sat down and he spoke to me like I was a child he was abrupt and dame right horrible. I’m sure many people just leave but I thought I do the decent thing. One member of staff was lovely and is a credit to the place. she deserves a medal working for him. Never would I stay here again.

lovely owners

we enjoyed our stay as this was our first break away as a family , the breakfast was tasty and the location is a massive plus , owners were brilliant aswell especially lynne who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable

nothing major maybe a better mattress as on one of the two nights didn’t have a great night sleep as was a bit springy but the other night slept like babies but can’t complain as for the price everything was spot on !!!

Location, very close to the centre and car parking facilities

Very steep stairs wouldn’t recommend for older people or people with mobility issues if you have more than 2 children. Shower head wasn’t good - water pressure was weak and the temperature was impossible to regulate, no soap provided in the bathroom or shower gel,

Amazing location everything is on your doorstep staff where friendly if a little forward.

Room was very dated the shower has no pressure and is either red hot or freezing cold no iron or hair dryer we stayed last weekend in a cheaper b&b which had much better facilities.

We had a lovely stay

Would 100% stay here again, amazing landlady & landlord so welcoming. The hotel it’s self is really clean and quiet. Nice chilled vibe down stairs where you can have a drink. Can’t wait to visit again.
