About this cabin rental
Smoky Mist Chalet is a beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate in the Great Smoky Mountains. It was built in 2018 and boasts an array of amenities. It offers 3 bedrooms/2 baths with bedding for 8 people. The kitchen is stocked and ready for cooking. Just bring your favorite foods! Food City is just around the corner. Some of the kitchen amenities include granite counter tops, a gas stove, microwave, Keurig and regular coffee maker, cookware, and stainless appliances. The dinning table offers seating for 6, but with room to pull up 2 extra chairs. Imagine yourself enjoying a wonderful meal with your loved ones while surrounded by a beautiful outdoor view!
Upon entering the chalet, you will experience the open concept living, dining, and kitchen areas. A stone fireplace will warm the family on those cold winter nights (seasonal). Floor to ceiling windows provide a beautiful view of both the surrounding woods and mountains. Double doors open onto the deck for an indoor/outdoor entertainment option. A 3-burner gas grill and rockers will greet you on the upper deck. Enjoy a glass of your favorite drink while taking in the healing mountain air.
The living space is warm and inviting. It offers a sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress. There is a large flat screen tv complete with Spectrum Wireless Internet and Cable (see Spectrum Select for a list of channels) and a DVD player. Wireless internet is also provided. Two chairs will make relaxing in front of the fireplace one of your favorite activities! The master bedroom is also located on the main level and provides a king bed and flat screen tv with cable. The connected bathroom offers double sinks, granite countertops, walk-in closet, large walk-in shower, and a private water closet.
The other two bedrooms, bath, and laundry room are located downstairs.
The second bedroom offers a king bed, chest of drawers, closet and flat screen tv with cable. The third bedroom is designed for the young or young at heart. It offers two twin beds, shuffleboard, Xbox OneX, flat screen tv with cable, game table, a variety of board/card games, videos and books. Be sure to bring your own movies or Xbox One games for added fun! Both downstairs bedrooms offer great mountain views and double doors that open out onto the downstairs patio complete with a hot tub. Relax in the hot tub after a long hike and take in the sounds of nature. Gather family for a game of Corn Holing out on the patio.
The downstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combination, a private water closet, and beautiful granite countertops. In the laundry room, you will find a small stackable washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, and a "starter" pack of detergent.
Located in Big Ridge Mountain Resort, all guests are allowed access to the outdoor resort pool (typically open from Memorial Day through Labor Day) which is less than a minute from the Chalet. A short 3 mile drive will put you on the Gatlinburg parkway and in the middle of all the fun. Easy access to three different National Park entrances from the Chalet. Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are only 11 miles away. Plenty of restaurants and shopping close by, including the famous Arts & Crafts Community. Rocky Top Sports World only 4 miles away.
Parking provided for three vehicles of various sizes. All roads leading to the chalet are paved. PLEASE BE PREPARED WITH FOUR WHEEL DRIVE OR CHAINS DURING SNOW/ICE CONDITIONS. Our front entrance has only one step to climb before entering. The driveway DOES have a slope due to being located on the side of a mountain. A digital keypad on the front door allows for quick check-in, no key needed! Please note that although we provide a "Starter" set of paper goods, detergent, and trash bags, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO PURCHASE MORE OF THESE ITEMS IF THE STARTER SET IS NOT ENOUGH TO LAST YOUR ENTIRE VISIT. Our family had never gone to this part of the Smoky Mountains before. We couldn't have chosen a more comfortable place to stay. Everything was exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful views, convenient to all the things we wanted to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The beds were comfortable, the bedrooms were roomy, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and more. It was great having 2 bathrooms, one up and one down.
We had the opportunity to see a young bear at a safe distance from the balcony. The home has lots of windows to provide great views and natural light. The mountain view is stunning and the trees surrounding the area are beautiful.
I highly recommend this property and would love a chance to stay there again and again. It was one of the nicest VRBO rentals we've had.

My family had a great stay at the chalet for our trip to Gatlinburg, TN for our daughter's dance national competition.
We had been to the area previously in 2019 and stayed at one of the cabins in the same vicinity but the experience was a complete 180 degrees.
The chalet was ready for our arrival by check-in time, clean, and communication with the property owner was excellent.
The chalet was the perfect size for the seven of us, aged 13 to 82. The first bedroom on the main floor was great for our parents who prefer not to use stairs. The wife and I's bedroom in what I call the walkout basement was right next to the hot tub which she used almost every night. Our daughters were over the moon not to have to share a bed in the second walkout bedroom in the basement.
The chalet is well stocked with everything, just remember to bring the paper products.
The view from the deck had a nice view of mountains in the distance.
The location in regards to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was good for getting to the convention center, restaurants, and area activities.
Communication with the owner prior to our stay was great. All questions were answered which assisted us with planning what to bring, dining suggestions, and activities. During our stay an issue arose and there was more concern for the individual than the chalet itself.
We would definitely stay at the chalet if visiting the area in the future.

Great family trip to the Smokies. Home had great amenities and anything we needed in the kitchen. Thoughtfully decorated and lots of activities for our older teens. Beautiful view of the mountains and enjoyed seeing a mama bear and her cubs almoat every day right behind the home.

Smoky Mist is a perfect location for visiting the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Great Mountain view, all that we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, Bedrooms. The deck was a favorite morning coffee and breakfast location. Hot tub felt great after a day of hiking. We even had the chance to see a Momma Bear with 2 adorable tiny cubs. Loved it. Memories were made.

This house is lovely! I received detailed directions to the house, which is very close to Rocky Top Sports World. The house is extremely clean and nicely decorated. It is well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, and the morning views from the deck were great. The owner was very responsive and provided recommendations for activities and dining. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely try to stay here. Everything was perfect!

We loved our stay here! Home was immaculately clean and so comfortable. It was beautifully decorated and has ample kitchen supplies as well as sheets, towels and blankets. Host was super responsive to any questions we had. We loved the hot tub. It was so nice to get in after a day out hiking to just relax and enjoy the views. The kids loved the shuffleboard and other fun games. Grandma enjoyed sitting out on the deck with her morning coffee. Very close to downtown Gatlingburg but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at Smoky Mist Chalet! It is a great location away from the crowds, but still only a 5 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and 15 minutes to great trailheads and also Pigeon Forge. The house is well stocked with all the essentials. Very clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Exactly as advertised. Great communication with the host. We hope to come back soon!

This was our first experience to visit the Smoky Mountains in the Gatlinburg area. When we were searching for a place to stay, we always kept coming back to the Smoky Mist Chalet. We compared the pictures to the description, and along with the reviews, it became our top pick. When we arrived, it was exactly what we expected. No surprises, which of course is nice!
I was pleasantly surprised on how quickly the owner was able to respond to any questions we had for our trip. She is a wonderful host! We were also impressed on the decor of the house and how welcomed we felt. It truly was a home away from home!

My family stayed here recently during our daughters basketball tournament. Our only complaint was that we were so busy we didn't have time to enjoy the house as much as we would have liked! The house is so cute and decorated well. It was very clean. Perfect for our stay and the hotbtub was wonderful! Thank you to the owner for sharing your sweet place!

We loved this location. The house was cute and full of everything needed. By far one of the most stocked kitchens. We had such an amazing view of the snowey mountains. Communication was easy and very responsive. We had no issues during our stay.

This was a great little property on a cul de sac road and the house was perfect.
The weekend was for my boyfriend daughter birthday and she had two friends with her.
It was perfect and easy to access multiple places. I enjoyed it very much and would love to come back. With two Masters its def worth it and having the kids on one level and us on another is perfect.

It’s a beautiful home with nice views of the mountains. We stayed for Christmas and loved the decorations. There are a lot of games for families and teens to enjoy. It was also very clean.

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving in this cabin and it was wonderful. Extremely clean and cozy. We loved sitting in front of the fire place and enjoying time at the end of our day in the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Smoky Mist Chalet. It sits in a picturesque location. The cottage is very nicely furnished and so clean. The kitchen is very well equipped; one of the best I’ve encountered in my 20+ years with VRBO. The cottage also has a surplus of games (board, digital and wood) and reading materials. Evenings on the deck were a delight listening the falling leaves and watching the full moon rise. The owner maintained great communication with me. One of the best rentals I’ve enjoyed.

We loved our 3rd stay here! The fall colors were beautiful! The home was comfortable as always. We enjoyed the views both inside and outside on the deck, as well as just relaxing inside and watching the baseball games. We saw a bear at the beginning of the neighborhood twice, so that was exciting (from the comfort of our car). Only improvements I could ask for would be a bigger washer/dryer. It’s still a plus to have a washer and dryer though!

The entire family enjoyed our stay. Every room was clean and cozy. In the evenings, there were games to play in front of the fireplace. The chalet has an excellent view of the mountains and its changing weather patterns. Also the location is quite accessible to all areas of Gatlinburg. Highlights of our stay were: Ripley’s Aquarium, The National Park, several miniature golf games, Anakeesta, and riding the roller coasters.

We loved this cabin. It was clean, well stocked, and just like the pictures online. The host was very communicative and easy to reach. The drive up the mountain seemed tricky at first but after a few times was pretty easy. We loved the deck and the kids and adults loved the games! It was a short trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Plenty of restaurants around and the grocery store was so close. We were lucky enough to see a bear almost everyday! We will definitely return to this property! Well done!!!

We stayed as a family of 4 and the home was a perfect size. The driveway was really steep, but we were prepared for that because of the description. The location is close to shopping, attractions, and parks, so we didn't have to spend half of our vacation driving. The wrap-around deck was so nice, but I wish it had a little cover from the sun so we could've spent more time out there during the day.

Best vacation ever! We chose this property based on the location & pictures of the property, and neither were a disappointment. My daughters last dance competition was at the Gatlinburg Convention Center and this property was only a 15 min drive to the location. The decor & comfort of the home was just as lovely as the pictures. The views from the porch were stunning & not to mention the BEARS!!!!! We had 2 visits from some small black bears & they made my entire vacation the BEST EVER!!! I love Bears!!! I didn’t want to leave and I would love to return in the future for another vacation maybe in the fall time. Christy was a great host and when we had an issue with our microwave she immediately responded. I would definitely recommend staying at this property.
