The quality of the facility has substantially diminished since 2022, which is when I first stayed at the lodge.

The location.

- housekeeping was sporadic. New towels were dropped off, but the old ones were not taken away. - mini fridge had previous guest’s food items still left. - wall plug in the bathroom did not work. Reported to the front desk the second day, but it was never resolved. - mold on the shower ledge.

Relaxing

Lady at the front desk was accommodating and helpful. She tried to make the check in seamless.

I was assigned a room different from the room I booked online. The whole reason I booked at this location was because the particular room I was booking for. I stayed at this location 2 times before and I always received a room with a balcony. That's what I paid the extra for. We love sitting outside and relaxing. To have a room already assigned to me on the bottom floor that wasn't the view of the pool I booked for, I was highly disappointed. The lady at the front desk was really nice at finding me a room that was not ground level.

The pool was dirty and very over crowded on the weekend… didn’t like you walked through the restaurant to get to the pool… need better signs for outdoor bathrooms

Cute resort close to university

The restaurant was amazing. The nicest staff in the whole place worked at the restaurant!! The pool was cute, not a problem finding seating around it. Pool was clean!

No walking trails in the area of the hotel. Needed more luggage carts! Seems like most of the HOTEL guests use them. But there surely needs more as they are always taken.

Advertising hype, overpromise and underdeliver

It was a great location for our adventures to the local outdoor hikes and sites

Our sliding bathroom door was broken, promised to send maintenance and after 3 reminders from 4-8pm, they never sent anyone nor acknowledged their failure, outside of a passing "sorry" at checkout. Fire pit was out of order (an amenity we planned to use) Meal in restaurant served incorrect, server disappeared and I had to find a manager to help. Advertising hype; overpromised and underdelivered.

quick get away trip very nice hotel , room was excellent

Very good

The lodge is my "go to" hotel in Clemson and I love the rooms, dining area and proximity to the school

On my visit this weekend, the TV internet connection did not work both days. The hotel said it was due to their provider. This would have been good to know and I could have brought my Fire stick. The family had planned time in the room to watch the Clemson basketball game and a movie -and couldn't.

Pleasant views, exceptional customer service and clean beautiful rooms!!!!

I love the atmosphere as soon as you walk into the lobby. You automatically feel at home with its friendly staff there to greet you. The rooms are always clean and the views are exceptional!!!!

I can’t find anything that I don’t like about this property!

We loved it and have already made plans to come back.

The property was beautiful and shopping was so close we walked there. The fireplace area was so charming, we sat there several times and had drinks.

Coffee bar needs to have real cream or milk. (not the prepackaged kind)

Poor hostess service at restaurant on Dec 8th in evening

The room was really great. Everything about the hotel room was great.

The female hostess on Thursday night, Dec 8, was not friendly. She seated us in the corner of the restaurant; myself and my parents who are white, and my mixed kids. We sat waiting for someone to offer water to us and take our order. The hostess never told anyone we were there even when we asked for water after 15 minutes of waiting. After another 5 or 10 minutes of waiting and no one coming to serve us we left the restaurant because we were hungry and had traveled almost 21.5 hours to SC. The hostess remained seated at the reception area of the restaurant the entire time. I've never been treated so poorly at a restaurant. Unfortunately they lost our business during our 4 day stay at the hotel.
