Not much. The location is really bad. Unless you have wheels everything is very far away.

Only Good Vibes

The location was amazing, and the property had everything under the same roof: Great Oyster Bar, Restaurant, Breakfast, Cafe, and great guests from all over the world

Fabulous spot

After more than two weeks of back packing around Thailand it was fabulous to arrive at this little paradise in Ko Phangan! everything in the room is made with each little detail in mind. not one ammenity is missing! and we also received plenty of water free of charge!

Clean and comfortable, would stay here again!

Spacious, clean, and comfortable room with ample desk space! Nice shower and kitchenette area. Great wifi and friendly staff! Also great place to stay if interested in a diving course - can start in their pool.

Location is okay - you need a scooter to get to more restaurants on the island. Cafe at the hotel has limited vegetarian options.

Small hotel with lovely large rooms and great staff

Owner and staff very helpful. Huge comfortable studio rooms spotlessly clean. Small restaurant menu but excellent oysters, saucisson and cured meats.

I had a wonderful stay! The owners Jacques and Rung are very delightful! All the staff are so friendly and do a wonderful job. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend. :)

The perfect place to do a diving course.

Nice and new facility with a purpose built pool for diving courses. The location is nice and quiet, yet within a short distance of all amenities. Superb french food, sausages and cheese made on the premises, bread and pastries baked fresh every day. Very friendly staff.

Very comfortable and spacious.

Everything was very decent, you can see the owner likes quality. The whole stay was very comfortable, the room was very spacious, had a desk and even a little kitchen. The staff was very friendly as well.

Noisy animal which can’t be helped but sound proofing and being able to fully close bathroom window would’ve helped, safety deposit box was advertised but we didn’t have one and the toilet system leaked (clean water).

AVOID AT ALL COSTS: OVER-PRISED, VERY POOR QUALITY, BAD AMENITIES and RUDE STAFF.

Pros: Thai staff was nice and stayed professional.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. This is the first time I'm writing a bad review. This review has been written after giving the host plenty of opportunities to address my complaints and after mediation of Booking.com who gave me a refund. I booked the Grand Blue Hotel for 3 nights; upon arrival the staff didn’t know where it was. There are no lifts and had to drag my suitcase upstairs, no one offers to help. Upon checking the room. I immediately saw that the room was not as advertised. Very overpriced and definitely not 4 stars. The room is at a busy road which you don’t see on the pictures. All the amenities are below standard for the price you're paying. After talking to the owner, I tried to be reasonable and negotiate a shorter stay. He would have none of it and was very rude on the phone. Later that night I had 2 quests over and we found underwear as the room was not properly cleaned. I reported it to the owner. Nobody came to clean it, so I asked for a fair compensation as I had to remove it myself. I was called a liar and the host threatened to call the police as he thought I planted and staged the whole thing to get money back. It was never about the money. Even though I had witnesses. I believe as a host you always should stay professional and never call your guests a liar and certainly not start to threaten to call the police. I checked out after 1 night even though I paid for 3, after not feeling safe being threatened. Again, not about the money otherwise I would have stayed. Upon checkout I was called a liar by the Belgian chef in front of my 2 guests. I refused to stoop down to his level, so I left. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. CONS: EXTREMELY OVER-PRISED, VERY POOR QUALITY, BAD AMENITIES RUDE STAFF, CAN’T CHANGE BOOKING.

Lovely place, great host !

Surpassed our expectations. Helpful host and saucisson maker extraordinaire! Very laidback vibe, spotless & spacious accommodation (plenty of room even with an energetic 4yr old), great location - easy walk to shops & an amazing Italian restaurant. Would stay again for sure.

Staff were a little slow when trying to check out to catch a ferry.

The house that Jacques built

New build clean very spacious, Jacques and team are great hosts and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I was very impressed to learn they also make their own cured meats and cheese along with freshly baked bread daily. In Koh Phanang there are a lot of dated properties and lacking in many things so was great to find Le Grand Bleu hotel highly recommended. Hasta la vista baby.
