Modern decorated older apartment with all modern appliances, undercover gated parking. Its an older building just so you know, close access to shops, restaurants, freeways etc, good area.

PROS: I loved my stay at this apartment. It seems like an older unit that has been renovated (not a complaint the unit looks great!) It is beautifully furnished & decorated with many thoughtful touches. Loved the huge mirrors in the dining area and bedroom. The apartment had a consistent style throughout which was nice- everything seemed carefully selected. The kitchen was on the small side but well stocked, with various cookware, utensils, flatware- good selection of knives, set of spoons, forks, chopsticks, and a couple pots & pans, and a large wok. Several mesh strainers, small measuring tools and large measuring cup, several large bowls for baking/ serving etc, and numerous kitchen gadgets and tools - spatulas, tongs, pizza cutter, cheese grater, peeler, wine opener, whisker, hand mixer, toaster, microwave, a couple other things I'm forgetting. Nicely stocked spice selection & salt and pepper, sugar, maple syrup, creamers, a keriug and kcups, several teas. Cabinet in corner of kitchen area had Swiffer dry mop + dry and wet pads, broom and dustpan and there was some general multisurface cleaning + disenfectant spray under the kitchen sink. Vaccuum cleaner in the hall closet right when you walk in as well. The apartment feels spacious for a one bedroom, and there's TONS of cabinets and drawers throughout for storage space in every area which I *loved*. I really liked the area, 2 blocks from downtown Alhambra with lots of shopping and dining, safe & pretty quiet at night. CONS: ° I found the parking to be challenging. The spot for the unit has a wall dividing on one side and another parking space with no dividing lines in between, it was a very tight fit quite difficult when the other car hadn't parked as far over as they could've. But I also have a large SUV. ° The AC for the unit is in the living room and really only cools the kitchen, dining, and living room areas. The bedroom got pretty hot during the day and the swamp cooler in it was awful- didn't make it cool at all just SO. HUMID. ° the complex is NOT ADA-friendly - there's 2 flights of stairs between parking area and the unit. Also stairs at front entrance. ° the smoke detectors are very sensitive and there's no working vent/fan in the kitchen, have to open all the windows when cooking (I learned this after accidentally triggering the alarm. Oops!) Jill was prompt to respond and it was resolved quickly. Her communication was great throughout. 4.5/5 very enjoyable stay!
