About this house rental
Quaint 3 bedroom 2 bath 1960 river house set on 2 acres on the beautiful May River. Stones throw from downtown. Gorgeous views, incredible breeze, quiet, private, historical area. Backs up to an adjacent privately owned 15 acre farm. One level ranch style with three bedrooms. Kitchen and bath updates. New furnishings. Two small bathrooms each with a shower yet also a wonderful outside shower. Elliptical machine if you want some indoor exercise. Foosball table, small basketball court with 2 goals, fire pit, grill, and a horseshoe pit for fun entertainment inside or out! Short walk to downtown, NO dock. Bikes available upon request or through PEDALS HH 888-699-1039 if you would rather bike to town for lunch, dinner, or drinks.

Such a lovely piece of property tucked back just minutes from Old Town Bluffton. My family enjoyed the walkability to town, open space inside, and serene view from the deck and backyard. And my boys enjoyed the basketball court!

It was our second time staying at this property and both times have been wonderful. The view is breathtaking and relaxing. The location is close to a lot of different activities within 20 minutes.

Waking up to the river views was so peaceful and relaxing! The house was well equipped and the beds were so comfortable. My 2 Labs loved the big yard! The location can't be beat and I loved the privacy. We will definitely book again!

We rented this property for our family vacation and could not have been happier. It was the perfect setting to just get away from it all and relax! The host was so responsive when we had questions and we had everything we needed. There were even chairs and plenty of beach towels for beach day. The host’s dogs were so fun and would stop by every morning to say hi and enjoy a round of fetch. If we ever make it back down to the area we will definitely try to rent this property again.

Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful views of the May River from inside and outside of the house. The host was wonderful and very responsive throughout our stay.

The location of the property was perfect for our family to stay in Bluffton for my brothers wedding. When searching places I put in Wright Family Park it said .2 miles away. Thats not exactly accurate because you can’t drive though the yards to get there as I was hoping my kids could walk there. Not a huge issue. The issues we discovered was the very strong pungent mildew smell that was so hard to miss in the house. My mother and son have extreme allergy induced asthma and I would not recommend this house if someone in your family does too. One of the main Doorlocks was just barely screwed on. Little disappointed that the deck had not been swept or even wiped down prior to arrival to enjoy being outside. Anna said the yard is done on Thursday and we arrived Thursday but I guess that does not include taking a leaf blower to just attempt to clean up the outdoor space. We were a little shocked that we were asked to do laundry even while paying a cleaning fee. I’ve always been fine with stripping beds but when we went to dry the towels we opened up the dryer and the smell of moldy and mildew still damp towels from the prior guest were still in the dryer. When we tried to use the dryer it would run for 2-3 minutes and then stop would definitely recommend replacing the towels.

This house was a dream! Anna was so helpful in ensuring we could check in & check out seamlessly, and the house is situated perfectly to the marsh and downtown Bluffton. Would recommend!

Lovely, spacious 3 bedroom home that is very close to old town. Extremely private. The entire back of the house overlooks the river and surrounding marsh - very special!

We had a wonderful stay in this updated vintage home. Inside, it was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. It's well-maintained, with updated kitchen and bathrooms, and interesting and original art throughout. There are many places to gather inside and out, including a big deck and backyard facing the river. Owners are hospitable and responsive. You're getting away from it all, and also just a short drive or bike ride from Bluffton. Highly recommended.

Was exactly what we wanted to experience when visiting Bluffton to experience the lifestyle here. We truly enjoyed the home, it was cute, easy check in, private, gorgeous surroundings. Loved it!

This house gave us a lovely peaceful break after our Road Trip. The location and views from the house were wonderful. We enjoyed the wide variety of wildlife atbthe property with daiy dolphin sightings and even a visit from a humimgbird. The house was comfortable and a great base to explore Bluffton and Hilton Head

We absolutely LOVED this amazing property!!! It is in a beautiful yet convenient location on the water. The house is spacious and well stocked with everything you need. The kids loved playing indoors and outdoors! It had great boat parking and close ramp access. The entire stay was delightful and we cannot wait to come back!!

The place and location are excellent. Increible views and environment. The house however smelled as if there was urine. The cookware was dated and hard to cook with as anything would stick and was hard to clean. The electrical system is old and outdated with current standards. In fact lost the kitchen because of a breaker tripping which we found out the next day.

The property is quaint and comfortable with several amenities that the older children enjoyed. The view is incredible! We were in town for a wedding and wished to have more time to spend at the property.

Mid-century style sprawling Ranch style house with ample room, and good furnishings, plus plush towels and many conveniences. Great washer and dryer. Best of all, each bedroom has wonderful views, topped by the master bedroom, which has Florida ceiling views. There is a large expanse of front yard with a basketball court and backyard with palm trees, palmettos, and other wonderful rustling trees. Privacy is excellent. We enjoyed mini balmy breezes. Only downside was that all over. The doors and windows are painted shutter. Will not open. Except for the side entries. So the wind cannot blow through. But that’s fine. Because there is air-conditioning. Good tvs

This location is right on the May river and is a cozy home with all of the amenities. My kids loved playing basketball on the courts and playing with the neighbors friendly dogs. The downtown of Bluffton is quaint and walking distance away. The location is also close to Hilton Head Island for daily excursions. The owner of the property is super responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We loved the location - close to town, but in a lovely wooded spot right on the river. We travel with 2 dogs and I enjoyed walking with them in the woods. The house was clean and comfortable. And private. A great getaway.

This home was clean, but we were so disappointed with the quality of the furnishings and linens that we decided not to stay.
The first red flag was the particularly distressed neighborhood. Then we pulled up to the house and were greeted by the sight of a completely dilapidated dock that was collapsed and unusable. The backyard was more dirt than grass. When we entered the house, we had to search for towels and soap. The towels that we finally located were well past their prime and unacceptable. The bedsheets were also old and of very poor quality. The entire interior of the home is not nearly as fresh as it appears in the pictures. The overall look was old and outdated.
This was a very disappointing experience.

We came together as an out of town delegation for an annual Diocesan Convention. Even though we encountered a rainy weekend, the coziness of the property coupled with the incredible view of the May River facilitated our ability to discuss and enjoy our time together. Size of our group, Proximity to restaurants and our convention location made this an ideal trip.

We had a wonderful stay at the house with the Yellow Door. Perfect size for our family with all of things you need. There was a bug problem at night in the back bedroom. Gnats and moths we’re getting in somehow, but the backyard overlooking the May River made up for it. A beautiful location!

This is a great house on a beautiful lot, walkable to Old Town Bluffton. We stayed here last year and had to come back! Great times watching the birds on the May River. So many restaurants in Bluffton to choose from. Close to Savannah and Beaufort as well as Hilton Head. We’ll be back next year!
