Welcome to Keaton Cottage! This charming and spacious home is the perfect place for your magical mountain getaway. With breathtaking views, easy year round access, high speed WiFi and a fire pit, Keaton Cottage has everything you need for a fantastic stay in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Perched on nearly an acre of land, and bordering a small farm, you will enjoy your privacy as well as visits from local wildlife including elk, turkey, and squirrels, along with the cows in the pasture next door. All the while this amazing location places you rights in the heart of Maggie Valley and just minutes from everything the surrounding area has to offer.
As you step inside Keaton Cottage, you’ll find a spacious open floor plan with views from every living room window, a wood burning fireplace, and a main floor master suite with a comfy king size bed and attached full bath. There is also a bonus room with a brand new queen sleeper sofa that is great for kids and houses a Nintendo NES Mini Game Console, DVD player, and many family friendly movies and board games. There is also another full bath on this floor as well as a washer and dryer.
Travel upstairs to a huge suite that offers two queen beds, one twin and its own full bathroom, desk, TV, and seating area. Snuggle up in one of two cozy window seats and enjoy a good book and the amazing views.
Outside, enjoy the mountains while relaxing in a rocking chair on the covered porch. Cook meals on the grill, or gather around the fire pit with a cup of hot cocoa.
The cottage has cable TV in each room and many family friendly amenities such as a high chair and pack and play. Linens and towels are provided along with other essentials like toilet paper, shampoo, and soap, so you can relax and enjoy your stay.
There is plenty of parking for 4-5 vehicles. The cottage is located on a paved road that is maintained year round. The road is car, truck, and motorcycle friendly, but there is one turn that will not accommodate large recreational vehicles or oversized trailers.

We recently spent four nights here. The house is on the older side. It is cozy and adequately equipped in the kitchen. The outside deck is large and a good place to play cornhole and relax in a rocking chair to look at the view of the mountain. We were delighted to see elk in the neighborhood along with the friendly cows that came near to the house. Location wise for Maggie Valley is good. The ride up on the road is filled with potholes so do beware of that. Also, when you come off the main road looking for the street it is tricky and is very very small. Watch for the sign that says flea market. While you are in the area and if you like to fine dining try to go to either “the swag or Cataloochi ranch “ for an exquisite meal, reservations are a must.
The only cons we have about this property is that the pictures are better than the actual house, it’s not that bright .And I did mention to the owner that the mattress in the master bedroom was quite lumpy and had a swell on the side and a hump in the middle. They said they replaced this mattress last year…… well it was not my imagination, but regardless it was not comfortable. So, in my opinion, I could not give this property a five star review however 4.5 would be more appropriate.

We booked this property the beginning of February kind of last minute and couldn't believe how nice it was and for such a great price. The hosts were reaching out days before our stay to make sure we were good and to give us the information we needed. No issues getting in the house and or checking out. Beds were comfortable, rooms and bathrooms were great and had everything we needed. We will for sure be staying at this house again and hopefully others from these wonderful host. I highly recommend.

We have such an amazing time staying here. We've been to more then 15 different Vrbos this one is most definitely the cleanest and well stocked place we've stayed. The host reached out, making sure we ha e everything we needed and that the place was as expected. We had a great time. Love this place and we will be back.

My husband and I enjoyed our time at this beautiful cottage in Maggie Valley! The cottage had everything we needed! The views were beautiful. It was so peaceful! If we had any questions the owners always answered back quickly! We are hoping to go again soon!

Pictures on internet made this cottage beautiful. Not so. Neighborhood and ease of getting there were good. View was good. That's as far as it goes. Furniture was extremely uncomfortable in living room and lighting was poor. 2 of lamps were broken, shades were dark, and wattage was low. Beds were lumpy. Bathroom vanities were not standard height. Had to bend over considerably. Bathtub in master bath a slippery nightmare, not to count terribly hard to turn on. No handholds in shower and it was slippery fiberglass. This cottage had charm but renovations were cheap and poorly done eliminating the charm that should have been enhanced. Not worth the price.

Dealing with the owner was great, very efficient. A few minor unpleasants. The road to this property was full of pot holes and switchbacks. This was hard for 2 70 years old and 80 age people. The beds could stand upgrading with new mattresses. The house outside could stand a good pressure washing and windows cleaned. We still enjoyed our stay and would probably do it again. We really enjoyed this cabin! The place was clean, the communication with owner was great, and the view was spectacular! We enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, and enjoyed our days of cooler weather than we have in Florida!

We had a great time. The house is roomy but still cozy. The view overlooking the valley is beautiful. We saw elk in the park, tube world and the Cataloochee ski area are right down the road, and it was just a short drive to a beautiful double waterfall. Perfect trip. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Keaton Cottage! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed! The kitchen was well stocked with oil, salt/pepper and even syrup for our waffles. The property manager was VERY responsive! We had a little power outage and she contacted the energy company quickly and kept us in the loop with repairs. Thanks for a great trip!

We had a fantastic time at Maggie Valley and loved our stay at the sweet cabin! The views were spectacular, everything was clean and tidy as well as fully stocked! Beds were very comfy and having a high chair and pack and play already there were a huge convenience. We cabin is on perfect location for anything that we wanted to do in the area and the fact that Publix delivers groceries was a huge help! We will be back!

Everything was very clean and updated. The decorations were just right for our Anniversary get away. I’ll think about bringing others but I may want to keep to just us on next visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience .

We had a wonderful trip the house was perfect! Just my Mom and sister and one of our Aunts. Four ladies all over 50 but we had the best time! Enjoyed exploring Maggie Valley and the porch was a hit!

We came to Maggie Valley for a wedding. The whole process of renting Keaton Cottage was seamless. Loriel was very prompt and detailed with messaging. The cottage was as advertised. It is in good shape with a nice view. We really had a pleasant experience all around!

Others have talked about the responsiveness of the owner Loriel, and I want to add my similar comments. She was MOST responsive and wanted to make sure you had everything you needed. I asked her if she had a toaster oven, because I love my buttered sourdough toast for breakfast. The next thing I knew, she has ordered one and it was delivered just before we arrived. We were the first to use it.
The place was immaculate, and just as it is pictured. The views were spectacular. The nighttime chorus of crickets, tree frogs, and I don't know what all, was music to my ears. Loriel is just a text or phone call away, so you are in good hands.
If we travel back to Maggie Valley, we will definitely consider this cabin our top choice.

We made a spontaneous trip to this lovely. cozy cabin. It was so comfortable and so very clean! I can not say enough great things about our stay. The cabin is in a perfect setting and easy to get to, which is something that I look for in Winter due to often inclement weather . The owner is fantastic at making your stay perfect and she is so helpful and quick to respond if you have questions. The best recommendation I can give is that we look to visiting again in the near future! A wonderful experiencee1
