Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday routines to old Florida. Peace and tranquility on the Steinhatchee River. Launch your boat at River Haven Marina and dock it in front of the house, in deep water, outside of the boat house. The Gulf of Mexico is approximately 4 miles from the house by water. Enjoy the scenery of the river, go scalloping (in season), or fishing. A boat trip on the Steinhatchee River is beautiful, serene, and peaceful. We are located on SR 51. The Google map is approximate of location. We are not located by The Sea Hag Marina.

Thermostat was a bit complex and kept turn heat down but overall a great place

Nice and quiet place it was a little far to the gulf. The property manager was very helpful with any questions I had and very quick to call or text me back. Thanks again we sure did enjoy our stay.

Good overall location. Boat dock needs cleats and a grill would be a bonus. Other than that, great place to stay.

We came to Steinhatchee for scalloping season and stayed at “The Hatch”. The location was great. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook scallops after a long day on the boat. We were also able to tie our rental boat to the dock, which made scalloping and fishing easy. The rental had everything we needed except there was no WiFi or internet available.

This house is beautifully set among the trees at the end of a quiet road on the river. The house is clean and comfortable and has all of the necessities. The owners and host respond quickly to messages and are very helpful and friendly. Our stay was wonderfully relaxing and the house had everything we needed.

Scallop Season 2022
Our family had a wonderful time staying and scalloping in Steinhatchee. We loved watching the occasional boat go by and taking in the scenic view of the river. It was a comfortable stay and it suited our family of four well.

The two bathrooms were a plus. We couldn’t get some lights to work so maybe the bulbs were burnt out or maybe we just didn’t find the right switch. We didn’t ask about it and we really didn’t care. The few times we did have questions - the property managers were super helpful, professional and polite. 5/5!!!

Week stay in Steinhatchee
We had a wonderful time at the property and the local town. There was room enough for the five of us - plus clean and quiet! Super easy and convenient with handy kitchen. Great property, it did on high tide go under water between the house and the dock, river out of its banks and the weather stunk with all rain so I can't blame the property. It was a good 45 minute slow speed zone/No Wake ride to ocean. But pretty place.

Great Place
As other reviews have stated, this property is much better than the pictures show. The communication with the property manager was great. The home is fully stocked. The dock was easy to access and tie up with a boat that drafts around 20”.

Wonderful Stay
Pictures do not do the place justice. Very roomy, clean, comfortable place. Dock was big, yard roomy and river right there. Close ride to boat ramp and into town. Best rental by far I've had in Steinhatchee.

Property and house were excellent. Pictures doesn’t do justice to the beautiful home. Needs updated pictures. However our experience with the check in info from the owner was slacking. We couldn’t get in touch with owner at check in time.
