AGAIN, due to the no refund policy, travel insurance is highly recommended, especially if your stay will fall around Florida's Hurricane season, which falls annually around June 1 through Nov. 30. Check in is any time after 4PM. We cannot guarantee pools will be warm during cold weather months and will not give discounts or refunds should a guest experience cold pool water temperatures.

Please understand what can come with the potential aftermath of a Hurricane. There may be closures of the following, that could possibly last weeks, if not longer: restaurants/shops, roads, certain amenities offered, beaches, Wi-Fi/cable, pools, elevators, etc. Our owners will stand behind their no refund cancellation policy for any of these inconveniences, and will not be making anyone the exception. Again, this is why we HIGHLY recommend purchasing good travel insurance. There should be a few policies offered towards the end of your booking process. One of which should allow you to cancel for any reason (CFAR). However, it is important for you, to do your proper research in confirming what exclusions, if any, exist for that particular policy. If none are offered to you, you can always contact another 3rd party travel insurance company. Date changes, rain checks, or compensation will also not be options under these circumstances! Hurricane season, again, falls between June 1st and November 30th.

EARLY CHECK-IN:
Because we have a high amount of same day turn overs, we kindly ask that you PLEASE refrain from asking for an early check in. Check-in is at 4PM Eastern or any time thereafter. Should the unit be available for early check-in, it will be offered to you on the morning of your arrival for a $50 early check-in fee. Thank you for understanding!

My husband and I spent a week here. Everything we needed was in the condo. The balcony has an amazing view of the water and the beautiful sunset. We were able to eat dinner out there almost every night. The little nature walk was a nice evening walk and for the most part the path is clear until you get to the end but it’s well worth the view. The location is nice as far as an easy trip to local things like shopping and Tarpon Springs. We would stay here again if we have the opportunity.

My adult daughter and I stayed in condo 2-410. We were extremely happy with everything about it. The condo was as described. My bed was extremely comfortable, condo was clean, the pool was amazing. The best part were the winter guests and homeowners. They were kind, welcoming, and extremely helpful. One even tried to talk us into purchasing a condo there!! (I'm too young to retire) Morning coffee on the balcony was spent watching the dolphins and rays swim and the birds and ducks frolic. We wished we could have stayed longer.

The condo was not kept up. The bottom drawer to oven would not close. The cover for The Spectrum router was on floor. There was sitting water on the floor of balcony. WOULD NOT GO BACK THERE. THE VIEW WAS BEAUTIFUL!

Shabby condo, but great view, sunsets, pool, and grounds
Shabby condo, but great view, sunsets, pool, and grounds
I have traveled extensively and have stayed in about 30 VRBO rentals around the world. I also own a few properties that I rent through VRBO and this is the first time I am compelled to write a negative review. This was the only unit available for my dates so I booked it for the first 3 weeks of my 2 month stay, now I can see why it was available, I doubt if many people would return to this unit. After my 3 week stay in 410, I moved to a unit in the same building a few floors up that is gorgeous, spotless, comfortable AND $250 less. If you are only looking for a crash pad for a short stay then 410 will do fine. This unit needs some serious TLC and attention to detail. I am going to list several items the owner/manager may not be aware of: Bed is too small and too hard and no mattress pad! I bought a foam topper (which I did not leave) so I could get a good night sleep. Blinds in bedroom have missing slats and don't close so can't block out the morning light. No dining table, eating at the counter you stare at the old ugly refrigerator instead of the gorgeous view, and most days it was too hot to eat on the balcony. Windows smudged inside and out Night stand drawer broken. Greasy fingerprints on cupboards, grease stained back splash in kitchen. Pans in cupboards were dirty. Half the balcony had standing water so was unusable and the balcony furniture was so rusted big pieces of rusted metal were falling off, I kept getting scratched so had to cover the chairs with towels to sit. A water soaked old plastic planter on the balcony with no foliage left on it is simply gross and needs to be thrown out. Stains on walls and doors, the entire condo needs painting. Stained carpet and pulling away from the wall in one area, also you could feel the carpet tacks at thresholds, don't go barefoot! Furniture is old, worn, and uncomfortable, the entire condo is so dingy that it did not feel, smell, or look clean even though it may have been. Chipped plates and cups. The only thing cheerful inside was the bedspread, it appeared to be new. I did take pictures but I am not able to post them on this review. I want to emphasize that Gulf Island is an incredible property and very well maintained, just too bad the owner of 410 doesn't invest some money to update this unit because it has so much potential. In response to a few prior reviews, the 18" TV in the bedroom turns on with the wall switch. I put the correct and complete wifi instructions on the refrig.
