If you are looking for an authentic farmhouse experience, and enjoy watching the world go by at a simple, more relaxed place, then Chalet L'Otavalo could be the place for you. Chalet L'Otavalo is a homely rustic chalet which is ideal for families with children. The views across to La Tournette are breathtaking, and we really like the fact that the owners are happy to share their family farming lifestyle with their guests.
There's plenty of room for children to let off steam in the fresh mountain air, and garden toys for children to use against a stunning Alpine backdrop.

Please note - The owners' brother lives in an apartment in the basement of the chalet, but this is fully self-contained and access is separate, so will not infringe on your privacy. The owners have retained the original low ceilings and small windows typical of farmhouses of this age.

We accept a security deposit of €1,000 via a pre-authentication of your credit or debit card, which does not affect your card balance. The pre-authentication will be released as soon as we’ve checked the property and confirmed there is no damage. The chalet was great, clean, large and very well equipped. Perfect, quiet location. Our host Laurence was very kind and welcoming. We'll be back with pleasure.

Laurence was very kind and helpful. She gave us a lot of good tips for hikes and restaurants in the area. The house is super cozy with a nice fire place and the whirlpool is perfect after an exhausting hike or bike trip, even better with the view of the mountains. Also fire wood was restored when we emptied it. All in all I definitely would recommend the chalet and the area, especially for bike riding and hiking. But also the regional specialities are excellent like reblochon cheese and the wines.

We had a great stay, the chalet was well equipped, with a lovely big lounge. Great views, quiet, great hot tub. We love Manigod in the summer for the serenity, but proximity to activities in La Clusaz. The Croix Fry is a beautiful cycling climb. Don't miss the bread from Manigod boulangerie.

Le cadre est superbe. En pleine canicule, nous avons apprécié les soirées douces, la fraîcheur et l’excellente ventilation naturelle du chalet. Stéphane et son frère ont été d’une grande serviabilité lors de notre séjour. Grande souplesse au niveau de l’heure d’arrivée très appréciable. Très bonne communication avec Stéphane et Laurence.

Chalet très fonctionnel, décoré avec goût, nos hôtes étaient très disponibles, réactifs et gentils! Nous avons vécu une semaine de vacances en famille magique, le jacuzzi est un réel plus. Aucune mauvaise surprise concernant la location.

Vous ne serez pas déçus !
Un super séjour dans un cadre magnifique. Le chalet est bien situé (ski, chiens de traîneau jacuzzi, balade, …) et la propriétaire est très gentille. Je recommande vivement, vous pouvez le louer les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçus.

Great motorbike rides
The chalet was very clean when we arrived and the owners kindly greeted us with local cheese and wine. During the day we went on beautiful motorbike rides and enjoyed zen evenings in the jacuzzi. Everything we needed during our stay was there.

Excellent séjour, chalet très agréable, spacieux et bien équipé. Jacuzzi et baby-foot ont été très appréciés de tous ! Possibilité de faire beaucoup de balades et randonnées à proximité ou en faisant un peu de voiture.

Cadre magique pour décompresser. Idéal pour se reposer et faire de la randonnée. Nos hôtes étaient aux petits soins pour nous, tout en bienveillance et gentillesse. Chalet tout simplement magnifique. N'hésitez pas !

Chalet exceptionnel à la déco soignée
Le logement est fonctionnel et rien n’y manque. Localisation au calme proche des départs de randonnées, de Thônes et d'Annecy. Ce logement n’a d’égal que la gentillesse et l’attention de ses hôtes. Nous reviendrons, et pas que pour le jacuzzi ;) !

Incroyable séjour en montagne
Chalet très chaleureux, spacieux, avec une belle décoration, extrêmement confortable, et très bien équipé. La situation au calme mais à proximité du cœur de village est idéale. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et serviables. Le salon est incroyable, la cuisine aussi bien équipée qu’à la maison, et le grand jacuzzi est la cerise sur le gâteau.
Nous avons aussi apprécié la grande propreté de l'endroit, le joli bouquet de saison à notre intention ainsi que le panier garni à notre arrivée.

Tout pour passer un merveilleux séjour
Un accueil agréable de la part de Laurence la propriétaire, un chalet impeccable et très chaleureux avec tout le nécessaire. L'atmosphère est ultra chaleureuse dans l'ancienne étable transformée en salon. L'emplacement est extraordinaire au milieu de ces superbes montagnes.

Merci à vous pour ce magnifique séjour
Ce chalet est idéalement situé si vous cherchez du calme et du dépaysement. Proche du charmant village de Manigod, il offre une vue plus que magnifique sur les montagnes, que vous soyez sur le balcon ou dans le jacuzzi. Le jacuzzi apporte d'ailleurs un vrai plus au séjour surtout après une journée en extérieur. L'espace salon (canapé, poêle à bois, baby foot) est la pièce parfaite pour un apéritif, il y règne une ambiance très chaleureuse et cocooning. Le baby foot est une très bonne idée pour un moment détente. Si vous cherchez une coopérative pour acheter de très bon produits à des prix accessibles nous vous recommandons la coopérative de Thônes. La gentillesse et la disponibilité de Laurence et son mari sont à souligner.

Bel emplacement pour ce chalet bien dimensionné d'une capacité de 8 personnes. Le propriétaire était très accueillant et attentif à ses hôtes. Bonne exposition.

Un excellent séjour
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le chalet L'Otavalo, qui correspondait à nos attentes pour ce type de tarif. La décoration est très cosy, et on s'y sent tout de suite très bien. La vue du chalet est magnifique. La cuisine est très bien équipée (nombreux ustensiles de qualité, ce qui est assez rare) et un minimum de produits est mis à disposition (papier toilette, Sopalin, pastilles lave-vaisselle, etc...), ce qui est aussi très appréciable. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et réactifs. Nous avons pu prendre possession des lieux le samedi matin, ce qui nous a beaucoup arrangé car nous venions de Samoens. Les petites attentions à l'arrivée ont aussi été bien appréciées (vin, jus...). En résumé, nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans votre chalet que nous recommandons vivement.

Super chalet conforme aux photos, avec une superbe vue. Il est bien situé pour faire des randonnées en partant de plusieurs stations. Frais quand il fait 35 degrés dehors! Nouvelle cuisine équipée mais petit frigo pour 6. Bonne excuse si on ne veut pas trop cuisiner...

très beau chalet savoyard
Nous avons apprécié l'espace intérieur ainsi que l’extérieur avec une très belle vue sur les montagnes ,la suite parentale , la modernité des salles de bains ( il manque néanmoins des étagères pour poser ses produits dans les douches ) l'ambiance très chaleureuse du séjour avec ses canapés et son poêle à bois , le calme , ainsi que la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Laurence qui nous a accueilli avec bouteille de cidre et reblochon ,hôte très attentionnée et adorable qui a mis à notre disposition tout l’équipement nécessaire et même plus à un très bon séjour !
Le chalet avec un petit rafraîchissement déco pour certaines chambres et la cuisine sera au top du top ! Je recommande vivement ce chalet , excellent rapport qualité/prix i

Huit jours de rêve dans un chalet chaleureux ou tout est fait pour se sentir "à la maison"!la vue sur la montagne de Manigot est un havre de paix, la literie est excellente, la déco ravissante, bref, on y est bien et on reviendrait bien!!! Idyllic chalet and best view in the world
The chalet is huge and beautifully presented with everything you could want or need. A highlight is the stunning wisteria covered balcony where we sat each morning soaking up the quite breathtaking scenery. The location is superb being close to Thones and a short drive to Annecy. This is the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

Très belles vacances
Nous avons passé des vacances idéales dans ce très beau chalet, très pratique et très fonctionnel. Les propriétaires ont été discrets et là quand il le fallait. Très belle région pour les randonneurs avec une station familiale à 10' (station de l'Etale). Excellent à tout point de vue.

Authentique séjour dans un chalet savoyard
Très bien situé à Manigod (très belle vue), le chalet est à la fois confortable, très bien équipé, et chaleureusement décoré. Nous y avons passé Noël et Nouvel An en famille. Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil très chaleureux (sapin de Noël et autres petites attentions), et leur gentillesse. Pourquoi pas revenir au printemps ? ... nous y songeons !
