We had three boats and trucks and knew the parking would be a little difficult, but really had no issues with parking. However, the entire house is in desperate need of a good cleaning & some updates. Dishes appeared dirty, there were dirty towels in the washing machine upon arrival & sheets in the dryer. The tack strip for the carpet going into the main level bedroom was exposed (due to the carpet being wore out), and at least two of us stepped on this without shoes. This is not only a safety issue, but a health issue as the tacks penetrate the skin. There were numerous other issues that could be resolved with some general maintenance/housekeeping. We never contacted the owner as we accepted the overall condition of the place and decided that we simply would not stay there again.

Over-all everything was pretty good. One thing we didn't like was the fact that all the rooms didn't have tvs in them and that the grill didn't have a bottom in it so we found an old grill around the side of the house and put it in the other one to use it. The beds weren't that comfortable but not horrible. The down stairs section of the house had a moldy smell to it and the little roll around air conditioner just didn't keep it cool enough for me. With that said we had to keep the door open on the room to stay cool which then in the early morning the sun come straight though the big door windows that didn't have any blinds on them which made it really bright really early in morning. Not a good place if you have multiple couples going seeing there is only one big bed Good things.. Plenty of plates, utensils, and cook wear. Easy entry.

We loved the balcony. Spent a day on the boat and another day hiking -house is very accommodating for our party of 6.

Had everything we needed. Close to everything and will definitely be a place we will be coming to again. The property manager was excellent and answered all our questions quickly. Loved the place and had a great time. Thanks

This was close to our family members lake house and very close to a marina. Perfect for what we needed.

Everything was great with the house. I will definitely stay there again.

Dishes were not clean. Utensils had grease and food on them as well as the pans. Satellite did not work. Spent hours getting it repaired ourselves. No washcloths for bathrooms. Sheets were questionable on upstairs bedding. Overall would not stay there again.

Can’t wait to come back

We were there for a funeral. So, we were not your usual vacationers. However, the view was beautiful. Watching the sunrise was peaceful and what we needed.

It was a good stay no issues

Nice but needs some repair work and attention to detail on air conditioning filters.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The property owners were very accessible to questions. Everything was as stated.

We had a great stay here. There were 5 couples. We had plenty of room. It’s a little tricky to get to, but we had room to park 3 trucks pulling boats. (The parking was done by experienced anglers. They have been parking boats for a long time Our host, Mike, was great. Anything I needed - he was just a text away. When he was in town, he came by to check on us. We had a great time!!

I would suggest to have your cleaners clean under the furniture and was the comforters. Broken chair in the den no one could sit in without being sideways and under the TV dirt and dust. couldn't use the comforters because they didn't smell very well so I would have them cleaned every stay like the sheets. Would stay again for sure but would have liked it to be cleaner. Younger kids may not mind but the older ones do..

We had a wonderful time while staying at this property! Great location to so many things Pickwick has to offer! The view was beautiful! The place doesn’t have an ideal spot for parking your boat and/or trailer. The driveway is very steep! However, if you choose rent a boat slip as we did that problem is solved. They didn’t have very many towels or bath clothes so you may want to pack some extra. The charcoal grill was nice for evenings we didn’t want to go out to eat. I would stay at this location again.

I want to start by saying that I rented Mike’s house for a last minute planned ATV weekend w/friends to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were away from the house most of the day & only cooked (breakfast) once. Traveling w/couple friends we liked the three level set up of the house. The location was great and Mike was quick to respond to all messaging. We had a great weekend but it wasn’t without several surprises & inconveniences. We arrived to find a dirty towel in the bathroom, dirty towels in the washer, a dishwasher full of dishes & dirty glasses in the cabinets. There was dishwasher liquid but no dish soap or paper towels. The bathrooms were not stocked with toilet paper or towels. The downstairs bedroom had water standing in the back corner of the room. The downstairs refrigerator was older, really molded & wasn’t useable at all. The room temps between the 3 floors were significantly different. The downstairs was really cold but there were 2 portable electric heaters & an electric fireplace in the common area. The upstairs bedroom was really warm. There is a window that opens but no screen. There were a few mismatched towels in the laundry rm & one pack of toilet paper. So, upon arrival, I was immediately cleaning up the water leakage downstairs, turning on heaters, stocking the bathrooms, washing dishes, washing linens & messaging Mike about towels. He was prompt to respond & had a friend bring more towels to the house within minutes. The washing machine didn’t drain & spin. It wasn’t usable at all which was super inconvenient. I was surprised that the MBR did not have a private bath. The laundry is off of the master. The only main floor bathroom is in the common area. The upstairs area consists of a queen bed & full bathroom (tub only). There are two full size bedrooms, bath, kitchen & common area downstairs. The VRBO description reads that this is a lakefront/waterfront property that accommodates 10. This house is located across the highway & up a hill from the water. There is a lake view but it is not lake front. Neither of the sofas are sleepers & I did not see an air mattress. I understand Mike doesn’t live in the area so he may not have been aware of some of these issues. Our group was not aware of everything my husband & I did before they arrived. We did have a great weekend & would definitely stay again. I will just ask more questions & pack a little more!
