-To keep our home beautiful, we ask that you not hang decorations on the walls. Tape, tacks, and other adhesives tend to peel paint and leave marks, etc. Glitter and confetti decor are also prohibited both inside and outside. Evidence will result in an additional cleaning fee of $250, plus the cost of damages to home.
-Enjoy a smoke, just not inside. Please ensure all doors and windows are shut and dispose of your ends in the outdoor trash bins. Indoor smoking will result in a sizable fine.

This place was so disappointing. We were told that we couldn’t do early check in, which was fine - we were alerted that the cleaners were “finishing up” at our check in time… it wasn’t until an hour and a half later that they finally left. All of the doors were open when we got there, and the house was 85 degrees inside. We couldn’t even sit out back by the pool because it wasn’t temperature controlled and the mosquitos were so terrible. The backyard was completely overgrown, and it was very clear that no effort was made to try to maintain or cut the grass. On the second day of our stay, we noticed that there was a fly infestation on the basement. Not a couple that came in from the doors being open - more like 20-30 flying around and landing on everything. For reference, I’m renovating a house and we had the doors open all day and only had 4 flies inside. There is clearly a sanitary issue in the basement; could be a consequence of the leak in the bathroom on the main floor. The problem was so bad, the 8 people we had sleeping in the basement couldn’t stay there and we had to double up on beds, and have people sleep on the couches and the FLOOR. We alerted them to the problem and said that an exterminator couldn’t get out until the day we were leaving. Of course, the “exterminator” they called didn’t find anything… the location and charm of the house are great. It’s a real shame it wasn’t properly maintained. I would not stay here again.

We booked a house for 11 with the Renters Club in Austin Tx. When we arrived it was about 28 degrees outside and two of three exterior doors were wide open and the house was extremely cold. It took a while to, maybe two hours to realize the house had no water as the pipes were frozen. We called the manager and they said they would find us a new house tomorrow. In the morning, as the house warmed up, the kitchen sink started to have water, but that resulted in leak downstairs, where there are two bedrooms. We had to move to Endfield Road to the "Governor's house. It was supposed to be an upgrade. It had only one operational shower, one toilet needed to be assisted with a bucket of water to flush and one other shower a dribble out of it. One shower had no diverter to take it from the tub setting to the shower setting. Renters Club said..."at least you have one shower"...for 11 people...and it was next to the kitchen. There were lots of problems with the two houses. The first one I confirmed with Renters Club after reading the hot Tub was working as it had been written up in December as broken...they said it had been fixed. It may have been fixed, but the tablet that controled it was dead and after recharging it required a password that was not provided. It was obvious that no one took maintenance seriously. We were offered less than a 10% refund that has not been given yet. Avoid Renters Club

The unit was pretty much as listed with plenty of sleeping and sitting areas. Things that could use some work are the hot tub (not working), the basement kitchen (leaking pipes), and the showers (basement not great pressure, jacuzzi tub shower is hard to get into and leaks on to the bathroom floor).

My group of friends and I get together once a year to reconnect and hang out. The listing really drew our attention because of the ping pong table and hot tub. A hot tub given the time of year was a must-have for our trip.
I saw that there were past reviews that mentioned the hot tub not working and so I reached out to the owner/management team to ensure it was working. They assured me the hot tub would be in working condition and so we committed to staying here.
Unfortunately it was not. I reached out to the property owner during our stay when it wasn’t heating up and they got it to start. However, it continually shut off or didn’t get hot enough to be a hot tub. The max temperature it ever got was 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
In addition the ping pong table and paddles were not in great shape. This wasn’t essential but was a nice to have on our list of places to secure.
The essentials such as the beds, linens, living areas were well maintained but if you are looking for any extra amenities to be in good condition such as the hot tub then I would look elsewhere.

This was a great place for our combined family group. We had 2 families; one stayed in the 4 bedrooms upstairs, the other in the bedrooms in the basement level, and we met on the ground floor. It was really lovely.
It's a quick drive to downtown, and it's a nice neighborhood to walk around, with a small grocery 3 blocks away, but it's really not walkable to downtown.
The place has a lot of historic character, but is very well-maintained. I would certainly stay here again.

The property was full of delights. The beds were all very comfortably with high quality mattresses and sheets. The towels were white and clean. Soaps were all provided.

This property suited our group perfectly and was exactly as promised. The management was helpful and it was a very smooth process start to finish. Our stay was great and we all agreed we would happily return to this property. Thanks to the hosts for an awesome trip!

Place is perfectly located just far enough away from the action that you can sit in the back in peace and enjoy the pool, or a 5 min drive gets you to the bars on 6th/S. Congress. Great spot for family/friends trips

Great place for a large group to stay. Awesome pool area for everyone to hangout at and plenty of space inside as well. Great location as well. Pretty much less than a mile from everything we did with the exception of Lake Travis. Plenty of quick Uber availability at the house as well. Our host was very accommodating, we’d definitely stay there again!

This old mansion has character and charm, and is located in walking distance to the University of Texas campus, Pease Park and downtown Austin.It was a great venue to host a family gathering for my daughter’s graduation.

12 of our family stayed at the house for a wedding. Had plenty of beds and a huge dining room table. Lovely backyard with a pool and hot tub. Well stocked kitchen and loads of towels. Also had a second kitchen and washer/drier. Only down sides were hot tub did not work and it is a little musty downstairs.

This large house was filled with unexpected conveniences including the large array of cookware, serving dishes, condiments, and toiletries. The living area is large with comfortable furniture conducive to a fairly large group. A quick response and solution to a concern about WiFi resulted in little inconvenience.

The house was perfect to accommodate our large family which was in town for ACL. It was nice to have comfortable gathering areas for people to visit.
The house is located near campus and downtown Austin. It’s easy walking distance to either. There are many food options in the surrounding area. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
The house was built in the early 1900’s, and has a lot of character. It’s a bit of a step back in time with modern conveniences. We had a very memorable stay.

We had an excellent time staying here in Austin. Very spacious property with enough room for everyone. Awesome backyard and pool - perfect for the warm weather we had. Awesome location which enabled us to walk into downtown. Also very responsive host to help us out with a couple of minor things we needed to bring attention to. Overall we would definitely stay here again for a large group gathering!

A Perfect Size
We traveled with 6 couples (and four children) and there was plenty of room/beds for all of us. The dishwasher wasn't operable during our stay, but upon learning of the situation, Renters arranged for a repairman right away. They were responsive and accessible. It was a great space for old friends to gather together.
