About this apartment rental
Let us welcome you to our home where you will experience the majesty of Sugarloaf mountain. Situated off of Scoot and Windrow trails, step off the back deck and hop on your skis to head down to the SuperQuad and base lodge. Ski home for lunch or a snack between runs. Enjoy apres ski in the hot tub on the sun-drenched deck or cozied by the river rock gas fireplace. Cook dinner in the welcoming and updated kitchen, or stroll down to the village to enjoy one of the many local restaurants.
High up on the mountain above the central lift, the trails leading to this condo have natural and man-made snow coverage for ski-in/ski-out typically from December to April.
Our condo offers three levels of living space with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and an open-concept kitchen and dining and living space with stone fireplace.
The first floor entrance level boasts a large foyer with ample room for ski and gear storage, a bunk room with full and twin beds, a private full bathroom, and a rumpus room with television and pull-out couch. There is also a laundry room on this floor.
On the second level you will find an updated kitchen with dining table that accommodates 8-10 people, counter seating for 4, a half bath, and a living room with a fireplace, a television, and a sliding glass door that opens onto the deck with hot tub, with direct trail access onto Lower Scoot.
There are three bedrooms on the third floor. The primary bedroom has a king bed and private full bath. The two other bedrooms share a full bathroom and both rooms have spectacular views of the valley and the Bigelow mountains in the distance. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other holds two built-in twin beds.
High speed WiFi throughout the home. Smart televisions with cable in the entrance level living space and second floor living room. Appointed with hypoallergenic bedding. Ridiculously clean.
Sugarloaf is a family friendly mountain with a great ski school and many apres ski activities such as swimming at the health club, skating, bowling, sledding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, etc. Spring/summer/fall guests can also enjoy the world-class Sugarloaf golf course, disc golf, mountain biking, hiking, zip lining, leaf peeping, fishing, boating, and local music. Great hotel-alternative for extended families attending weddings in the area.
This is a great place for one or two families, or if you prefer an adult ski getway, nicely accommodates 3 couples where each can have their own bathroom and privacy. Maximum for adults is 6, maximum number of children depends on number of adults (maximum occupancy is 8 total). Minimum age for primary renter is 27.
New hot tub in 2020. Please note video doorbell cameras are present outside the front and back entries. The one at the back door does show the entire deck, including the hot tub area, if activated. There are no recording devices inside the property
We are taking special measures to clean and sanitize between guests. At this time we unfortunately cannot accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs.
While we love animals, we have chosen to keep our property pet-free due to allergies and so as to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
You can literally get everyone dressed and out the door and tell them not to come home until lunch.
My family has been skiing at Sugarloaf for 50 years, and we love it here. This home is ready for your family to make lifelong memories, too!

My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! We were welcomed warmly and were given clear instructions for the check in/check out process, which was appreciated.
This property has a lot of stairs to climb so that's something to bear in mind if you are bringing a lot of gear with you or any family members that struggle with stairs.

Stayed here for 2nd weekend in April. Great ski-on,ski-off location. The host’s home was lovely, spacious and super comfortable. The fireplace was terrific, as was the outdoor jacuzzi. Communication was excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped. Great vestibule with lots of places to hang equipment and let damp clothes dry. Hope to be back next year.

Lovely property in a great location. Hosts Katherine and Chris have a gerat property that is clean, well appointed, and comfortable. They set things up for an easy check in and check out, and checked in by text during arrival to make sure things are set. Sugarloaf is a long drive for us, but next time we go I'll be looking to rent from Katherine and Chris before looking anywhere else!

This was our second annual trip to Katherine and Chris’ townhouse at Sugarloaf and we can’t wait to go back. Our accommodations were again perfect! The townhouse is bigger and more beautiful and grand than the pictures even make it feel. When we walk in it always feels like home away from home. The kitchen is great for cooking and eating family dinners and is easy to navigate. The beds are very comfortable with lush comforters. You definitely get what you pay for in every respect and it’s well worth it!
Seeing the skiers and groomers go by everyday out the window (or from the hot tub) never gets old. The hot tub on the deck is lovely with heated pads to keep your toes warm even on the coldest of sugarloaf days. Our littles we’re able to ski down to the lodge easily from the townhouse even with our littlest on a leash with dad behind.
The perfect turn ski school is fantastic for littles and we watched ours advance their abilities every day! The lower mountain lifts are great for beginners while the higher terrain will keep expert skiers happily entertained for days on end.
Katherine and Chris are very easy to communicate with and are very committed to making everyone feel welcomed in their home. They are indeed the ideal hosts.
You can’t go wrong with choosing this rental.

This is the second time that that we’ve stayed in this unit with hosts Kate and Chis. Our previous review of the stay is likely still available on this site. In short we were delighted with everything across the board including the beautiful setting, furnishings and very fully equipped kitchen (which we used for every meal). We also noted that Kate was an excellent host keeping us well informed about everything.
This time around, we were even more impressed despite a snag that could have ruined our stay. It was one of those things that no one could have anticipated—a critical part of the furnace gave out just as we were settling in. What could have been a a very difficult situation was solved by the prompt and tireless work of K & C to track down the part, find someone to drive a great distance to retrieve it, and arrange for the fix immediately thereafter. In the interim, they made sure that we stayed warm with portable heaters and also had access to hot showers nearby.
Also impressive was how well equipped they were for having a 2 year old guest. Our grandson was able to sleep in a pack and play that was in the unit and play with toys that were age appropriate.
We had a wonderful time and were and are grateful for our hosts.

I stayed at Kate's condo with my husband, kids, and parents for a family vacation. It was amazing!!! True ski-in/ski-out (you can literally ski to the back door!) and location partway up the mountain is ideal (so not only can you ski from your place, you don't have to waste time skiing all the way down past the base lodge when you want to stop at home). (There is also shuttle service to the base area (every half our on the weekends, on demand during the week - it showed up in literally a minute when we called!). ) The open floor plan on main level of the condo is ideal for hanging out - gas fireplace makes it extra cozy. Beds were SUPER comfortable and the kids enjoyed having their own TV area on the bottom floor. Mountain views from dining area and bedrooms were spectacular. And, it was such a treat to soak in the hot tub under the stars each night! Kate was also super responsive and helpful throughout our planning and our stay. If you're looking for the ideal ski vacation, you will find it at Kate's place!

This was our third year staying at Kate's fabulous condo. I've written in the past about how much our family enjoys this stay... the condo is well-maintained, well-stocked, comfortable, spacious, etc. The owner is super-responsive and helpful. The only bummer was the weather, which can hit or miss in December anyway. Hope to be back next year! :-)

I stayed at Kate's house for a weekend with my friends. The house was clean, well-maintained, and just as described. The living room and kitchen were spacious, and stocked with everything needed. Kate was a fantastic host and took the initiative to share any and every information we may need. We had a grate time and would come again!

One of the newer condo developments on Sugarloaf. Great location and clean and up to date property. Everything about our stay was great, and the property condition and amenities was as advertised.

This is a spacious, beautiful condo- everything is high end and super clean. I wanted to move in! The kitchen/living area is huge and perfect for a get together we had before a family wedding at Sugarloaf. Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Hot tub was great and we used it even though it was warm weather! Kate is a great host- communicated at every step. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

The best rental experience I have had. The property was even nicer than the photos and the location could not have been better. We loved the ski in ski out and ending the day in the hot tub was simply perfect. Kate was easy to work with and always available. We cannot wait to go back!

Our stay at Kate and Chris’ home was nothing shy of epic. Our family has been going to Sugarloaf for the past 37 years. This year was by far the best vacation yet. The townhouse was even more expansive and impressive than the pictures eluded. The spacious design created the perfect opportunity to be able to read a book with beautiful mountain view’s out the window or come together for family board games around either the kitchen table or coffee table by the fire.
The kitchen was well stocked and functionally laid out. The amenities were perfect, including toys and books for our young children to enjoy. We were able to cook meals comfortably. The owners were very generous and shared extra items to help make our stay even more comfortable. I appreciated their attention to detail and all of the information they passed on about the location/community offerings, as well as house expectations that were reasonable and easy to follow.
The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The views of the groomers out the primary bedroom and from the hot tub at night were especially sensational.
Our 5 year old son was able to ski to his lessons out the backdoor. The shuttle was easy to navigate and came on schedule which was the easiest way to return from the mountain with our children.
This rental is perfect for large families, multiple couples, or two families of four who are looking for a fantastic ski vacation. We are already planning to make this a yearly destination.

Kate and family are wonderful hosts and their Sugarloaf home is everything you could ask for. The communication, cleanliness of the home, it’s location on the mountain as well as all of its amenities, we’re everything we could have asked for. We had a wonderful week of skiing and hope to stay again soon.

The owner is especially good. Communication immediate and helpful. Fully stocked. The owner uses this condo for her family skiing so it lacks nothing you or we would expect or want in a home. Cooking / kitchen - everything you need. Furnishings bedding all great.
Location. Can’t be beat. Four bedrooms , plenty of room. We had five adults 65 or so. Experienced travelers . Everyone pleased.
Five stars all around.

This condo hit all the spots we were looking for during our trip to Sugarloaf. Can't beat the location with easy access to ski on to the superquad and close proximity to the village dining options. The interior was squeaky clean, comfortable beds and linens, great kitchen to cook in, and plenty of space for a group of 6 to dine, relax, or play board/card games. The host was amazing at communicating and would totally enjoy staying here again!

Highly recommend Kate's property for visiting Sugarloaf Mountain Resort! The condo is exceptionally clean and well-stocked, with comfortable beds, pillows, linens, and towels, as well as any kitchen supplies you might possibly need! It is a great space for a group to spend time relaxing together, as well as a perfect location to rest up after spending time in the beautiful Maine outdoors! Kate is very responsive, kind, and easy to work with. Would 100% return for another stay!

Perfect. Again.
Year after year after year we return to Kate’s wonderful trail side home, and it’s become our home away from home. We can’t wait to return again next year (or maybe this year if there’s a nor’easter!)

Excellent ski in ski out Sugarloaf condo
I have skied the Loaf for forty years. This condo was the best location and the owner very helpful and responsive. Cared about her renters.
I was especially impressed by how well equipped and organized the home was. Spices , hot tub chemicals , towels , every little thing you won’t bring but need .
Definitely interested in going back.

Sweet Sweet Stay at Sugarloaf
Of the many ski condos we have rented in the East or out West, this is one of the best and a family favorite! Well-maintained, thoughtfully appointed and spotlessly clean, the photos belie how spacious and warm the condo really is. It easily accommodated our large group of extended family -- there are lots of closets and open floor space for stuff, as well as cubbies and racks for coats & ski gear. The beds are comfortable and fitted with quality linens, even the pull-out couch. We cooked big, fabulous meals and were so grateful to find good knives, utensils, pot/pans, plenty of wine glasses (!), quality dishes and cutlery in the well-stocked kitchen. We took advantage of the brand new hot tub, two new, large screen TVs and big comfy couches made group movie-watching easy. We generally prefer wood-burning fireplaces, but the gas one here throws out a lot of warmth & light... plus it's so much easier to hit a button! Notes for future renters: 1. The "kids" bunk room is tiny -- clearly designed for 2 young children. Our teens are petite and they were fine, but it would be challenging for bigger kids/teens or adults. 2. There are lots of stairs to navigate, so be aware for physically challenged folks. The inside stairs are easy enough, but outside is a long flight of metal grate stairs leading up from the parking lot. And 3. Ski in/out access is true, but as the owners make very clear, it's not for beginners. During our visit, not all the slopes were open so ski-in access was limited. No complaints! just need to be aware -- the shuttle bus service is a terrific option. Lastly, the owners are beyond lovely. Kate & Chris were super responsive and attentive... arming us with lots of local, insider information and offering little extras... like a fully decorated Christmas tree (!) for our holiday week. We were so grateful for use of their lovely condo at our favorite ski hill. Thank you!

Absolutely perfect in every way!!!
From the first message I received accepting our request Kate was very personable , welcoming and very helpful in answering any questions I had . We chose that location because our 15 year old son had an enduro MTB race on Sugarloaf that weekend so being able to stay slope-side was the best we could have hoped for. The condo was beautiful and spotless, yet still felt relaxed, with a laid-back vibe that made you feel right at home . The condo was very spacious with more than enough room for all of us and then some but definitely not overwhelming. It was perfect! There were three floors, several rooms and all with there own incredible views . There was also a stunning stone faced gas fireplace that we took full advantage not that we really needed it at the time but just because it was super cozy. The hot tub was awesome too and also very well maintained. Every opportunity we had to enjoy it , we did. It was just the perfect place to relax and unwind. And one of our favorite parts was being able to fall asleep to the quiet, peaceful sounds of the trees rustling at night and feeling the cool fresh air from the bedroom windows. Kate and Chris’ condo was perfect for our family because it met all of our needs and we would all definitely love to stay there again sometime! It was obvious that Kate and her husband Chris take great pride in every aspect of this property. Thanks again for having us and for being such exceptional hosts 🌟
