Front door opens into expansive screened-in lanai with dining table. Living room includes comfortable furnishings, seating area and a pune'e, Hawaiian style couch, that can sleep one. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, desk, dresser and two night stands with lamps, closet and an adjoining full bath. The second bedroom has sliding doors that open up into the living room or can be closed off for more privacy and includes two twin beds, dresser,closet and an adjoining bathroom. The full kitchen includes a dining area, washer/dryer, stove and microwave. There is a two car car-port separate from the cottage.

Want to get away from the tourist hustle? This is the place. About a mile from Koloa town with shops and a full Save Big market,
The cottage is well furnished with comfortable quality pieces. All rooms have generous windows to admit the refreshing trade winds day and night. The kitchen is well equipped, though most of the frying pans have rounded bottoms that are incompatible with the induction cook top. Lots of clean towels for use in the house plus some for the beach. The house even has a fire sprinkler system!
We spent our time on the large screened porch, listening to birdsong, trade winds rustling the trees, hearing rain showers approach, an occasional neighing from a horse in the adjacent pasture. Never hear traffic or loud voices. Watching clouds scuttling by, changing the color of the forest on the mountain. We can only see a bit of two other houses so very private.
The host is thoughtful-brought over battery powered lights when the power went out island-wide.

By far, one of the best places we’ve stayed because of its rustic charm, ample space, good cozy vibes. This place was a wonderful experience to disconnect from it all and have some tranquility. It is a great property for families, and fairly close to a lot of the great hotspots, but without the crowds. Would definitely recommend anyone and look forward to returning soon.

We have a 20-month old and were looking for a place with more space and amenities than a hotel and this was perfect for our budget. Our daughter slept in the provided pack n play in the second bedroom while we occupied the primary bedroom. Each evening we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch feeling the breeze, listening to the sounds of the night (including the wildlife), and watching the geckos climb around. In the mornings we enjoyed hearing the roosters and other songbirds. The house was extremely clean and very well stocked with all the necessities: coffee maker, cookware, Tupperware, etc., cooler, tote bags, even a plethora of toiletries and bug sprays, and many beach items. Having a washer and dryer in the house was perfect. The fans were powerful and worked very well. We were comfortable here and made ourselves at home! The location is very convenient for quickly getting to the beaches or shopping in Poipu or dinner in old town Koloa, and the house itself served as a great base for our longer days of driving to the north shore and to Waimea Canyon. We mostly kept to ourselves but when minor questions arose, the hosts were very communicative and helpful.

Property was as described. Very charming cottage with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The enclosed patio was so awesome. Amazing view as you sip your morning coffee. Was easy to find and close drive to beach and town. Kitchen was well stocked with essential cooking and cleaning equipment. Property manager was responsive to a couple requests. Would definitely stay again.

Situated right outside of old Koloa town and away from the hustle and bustle of all the resorts made it the perfect place to stay. The cottage was stocked with everythjng you'd need for your vacation--full kitchen, cookware, beach towels, goggles, etc. Highly recommend and would book again when I the island dueing my next visit.

This property is spectacular. It is nearby enough to Old Koloa Town but also feels like its secluded all by itself when you're there. The porch is amazing for reading, we loved that the wall of one of the rooms opened up to the main living space, the property immaculate. As a cherry on top, Loki, the neighbor dog is a total lover and will come right onto the porch if you want (but also will leave when you tell him to). Horses across the street and cows grazing in the field behind. 10/10 would stay again if I don't talk the owner's into selling me the place first ;)

This is a totally esthetically pleasing cottage in simple yet ample furnishings and decor. The lanai is especially wonderful with its views of the hills and inviting seating. We also appreciated the location of this property. It felt secluded, but was only a couple minutes away from the town of Koloa and just a few minutes more to Poipu Beach and all the other spots we wanted to see while on this part of the island. We would return here in a heartbeat!

As other's have said, the online pics don't do this property justice. Its so private, so lush and peaceful. Yet, at the same time, walking distance to Old Town Koloa. There is a huge plot of land right outsude the front door with a few horses and cows...there is the sweetest dog that lives next door, mamed "Low-key "! He comes and visits daily. There is a screened in Lanai, we ate every meal out there, its heavenly! This place is a place you can kick off your shoes and not worry about wet bathing suits ruining furniture. Willi and Tony are the kindest host's! Theres plenty of sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, etc. The grocery store is also walking distance...the only thing we could've bought was paper plates, but just used the glass dishes provided. We will definitely recommend this cottage and we will be back soon!

The pictures really don't do this place justice.. The open space, natural lighting, and overall decorative ambience made this little cottage the perfect home away from home! Willi and Tony were sweet and very responsive to any questions we had. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Kauai!

We had an amazing time staying at the cottage in Koloa. Willi is an wonderful host and the check-in/check-out procedures were easy. Our daughters loved that they had their own bathroom adjacent to their room. The whole house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was close enough to get to places, but far enough to get away from the noisy street. We can't wait to return next year!

Wonderful place to spend a relaxing vacation! Located away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches and large resorts, yet still extremely convenient. Rooms were clean, kitchen well-stocked, even better than described. Yes - we were woken up at 5am by the neighborhood rooster the first day, but had grown kinda fond of him by the end.

Our stay at the cottage was absolutely wonderful. It was away from the hustle of town, but an easy drive to get places. The open air concept was wonderful and we enjoyed the horses/cows behind us as well as puppy love from Loki. Even the 'local' rooster we got used to - we just crowed back and he got quiet.
We will definitely recommend this rental to anyone wanting to visit and stay in a great place away from the madness of the resorts.

We stayed at this house for our 30th anniversary trip. It was exactly as described on the site., had everything we needed and is a beautiful home. House is very close to Kola. There are several food trucks nearby making it very convenient for meals. The lanai was a perfect spot for our morning breakfast. Only 2 small complaints , a blind on the lanai where the fixed glass would make it more enjoyable later in the mornings. We had a rooster that liked to roost in a tree right outside our bedroom window and start crowing around 2::00 am a couple of mornings.

Beautiful place, perfect for people who want to return from their day to some peace and quiet. The furniture was comfortable and nice quality, the kitchen was full size with plenty of pots, pans, dishes. We spent a lot of our evening time on the spacious screened-in porch, which had an excellent view of mountains, trees, and sky. It was a perfect location to get to anywhere on the island. Koloa town itself has a couple grocery stores, food trucks, and several places to pick up prepared food, and it's a quick drive to the Poipu area for beach and restaurants. The hosts are kind and helpful without any intrusion to privacy, neighbors were quiet and not very visible behind landscaping.

This property is located in a rural setting just outside of Old Koloa Town. We were close to our friends staying at Poipu Beach and other attractions in the area. The property owner stayed close by and was kind, helpful, and attentive to any questions we had. The home was clean and offered beach gear. The beautiful views of the mountains from the porch made each breakfast an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this property.

Having grown up on Kauai, I am fortunate to have lived the island life as a kid. This adorable "plantation style" cottage brought back so many wonderful memories. It is spacious, with a beautiful lanai and gorgeous mountain views. There are fruit trees in property, and it is set back behind the main house so it is secluded and quiet. The house comes with a detached garage that also has everything you need for your vacation -- grill, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, fins, and two bikes! And Lindsey and her family are so nice! Skip the hotels and condos, trust me. This is island living! Mahalo Lindsey and family. We look forward to booking this hale (ha-lay -- house in Hawaiian) again!

Charming Hawaii Cottage!
We absolutely loved staying at this cottage! I cannot say enough wonderful things. The location was perfect. We loved the property! We saw cows and chickens and felt like we were locals. Relaxing on the gorgeous porch was our favorite thing to do. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Willi was great to work with! We will absolutely stay here again-we miss it already!

We enjoyed the spaciousness of this house, and the incredible views of the mountains. The host was very helpful, giving us dining and activity recommendations. It was very nice to have ample kitchen supplies for cooking. And the screened in lanai was perfect for relaxing and having meals. Mahalo nui Willi!

What a gem!
The photos do not give this property justice. What a beautiful home and garden to relax in. My husband and I were staying for our babymoon and couldn't be more pleased. Many small details and extras: comfy beds, extra sun screen and bug spray, beach towels, boogie boards, and coffee...just to name a few! You also have a beautiful view of the mountains and farmland from the porch while you enjoy your breakfast. You are tucked away so you feel isolated, but are just a few minutes from beaches, food trucks, and local shopping. Very clean and spacious accommodations. Couldn't recommend more highly

Gorgeous cottage in a lush garden setting!
We adored staying here. The screened porch made our stay so enjoyable as we could sit outside at any time of day, rain or shine. We spent afternoons sitting on the screen porch reading and looking out at the lovely lush landscape behind the property. The house was cosy and clean, and Willi came by to say hello, which was lovely. The perfect place to relax.

Wonderful, peaceful cottage with mountain views
We loved the screened-in porch for sitting quietly with a beautiful view, and a comfortable tropical breeze at all hours of the day. The listing says the Internet is DSL but it is actually a faster Cable feed. (I was able to conduct several hours of online Zoom meetings with no video or audio hiccups at all!) The second bedroom has a wall that opens up to enlarge the living room and allows fresh air to flow freely through. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans we needed. We loved our stay.

Everything we were hoping for
This is a sweet little spot for a peaceful stay close to charming Old Koloa Town and the beaches of Poipu. We loved the area, horses, open fields and view from our lanai of the sunrise over the mountains. The cottage is located on the owner's property and close to a few other houses, but we had all the privacy we needed and felt miles away from the business of town. The cottage is much nicer and more spacious than the photos allow for. Willi is an amazing host who went over and above by providing fruit and veg picked from the trees in her garden, extra life jackets for our kids, and lots of books to keep them entertained when we ran out of reading material. Our kids loved running around the yard, using the picker to grab oranges off the trees to make OJ, and visiting the horses down the lane. Be warned, this place - like every where in Kauai - is home to thousands of roosters who enjoy crowing at all hours of the night but we got used to the early to rise early to bed routine. We feel so lucky to have found this gem. It absolutely was the highlight of our visit.

A hidden gem
This property is tucked away on a quiet road and neighborhood just north of Koloa town. Easy access to Poipu beach areas. We had everything we needed here for cooking our own meals. I grilled on the Weber charcoal grill most nights as eating out is pretty pricey here. Two grocery stores just down the road in Koloa town. Willi, the property owner, lives next door but gave us our privacy. We were able to see most of the main Kauai attractions and had plenty of time to relax on the screened in porch. You will love this place if you’re not partial to resorts and crowds.

The cottage was a great set up for my family, a very good home base for exploring the Poipu area beaches. Very comfortable accommodations and everything we needed in the kitchen. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and provided plenty of privacy.
