About this cabin rental

Appaloosa One sits right beside its sister Cabin, Appaloosa Two with Trails leading to the Oconaluftee River for fishing access. These trails are not handicap accessible but we do provide a paved road with a parking area for handicap access. Appaloosa One has two bedrooms each with queen size beds, one bathroom, One living room and fully furnished Kitchen. Minutes away from Harrah's Casino and Downtown Cherokee.

This is a gorgeous and peaceful place to stay. It’s very clean and Clint the property owner is always a call away. I highly recommend if you are looking for a place very close to the casino and downtown. My son and I really enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back very soon.

Just as described. Everything was easy and convenient. Cabin is so clean. Little things planned for by host just made it perfect; box fans in case bedrooms were warm, fire pit with chopped wood available, kitchen essentials. Path to the river is maintained. Location is very convenient but still feels rustic. Don't skip: Listening to the river, toasting marshmallows, and watching the fireflies. We had such a great time and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything!

This place was perfect for a weekend trip for me and a friend. Within ten minutes of the casino and 5 to downtown yet quiet, peaceful, and off the beaten path. The sound of the river flowing was awesome and constant and price was fair. Host Clint was easy to work with. Would definitely come back. FYI there is no hot tub (that we saw) :)

First vacation since my husband passed almost 3 years ago. Talked my childhood friend into going with me and she hadn’t been anywhere in about 20 years. We had a great time. Very clean and welcoming. Loved sitting on the porch and listening to the river.

This place was so great, I honestly don’t want to brag about it too much because I want to keep it my secret! Seriously, one of, if not THE best place I’ve ever stayed in the area. The host’s hospitality was off the charts! 10/10 I will definitely revisit this little hidden gem.

We wanted a quiet place to stay for a three-day fishing trip. This was our first time traveling with our dog, and this cabin/property matched our needs perfectly. The property is scenic, and there is river access. The cabin is clean and comfortable and well stocked with amenities. We are planning a return trip.

We always try to stay here. Its so quiet and peaceful here. Super clean and has everything we need. Close to town and plenty of places for my spouse to fish. Mr. Hyde responds quickly to messages and will answer any questions. We cant wait to return in the fall.

Loved staying at the cabin so close to the river. We walked down to it everyday to fish and caught big trout. Cabin was clean & had everything we needed. Was a very convenient location being in the woods but still close to town.

The carpet was completely worn out. Paint peeling everywhere. Seating in the den was inadequate. If you don't gamble don't go to Cherokee NC.

We enjoyed our stay and Clint was very helpful. The pictures are not very accurate though. The river is down a very steep hill and the living room had a couch in the pictures. No couch so it was a little inconvenient with four people watching TV. The place was in a great location. Casino was close as well as shopping.

This was my first time visiting and I have to say that the property was as described and more! The property owner was great with communicating and responding!! I definitely recommend renting this property! My trip was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, but I will definitely be visiting again!!

It was lovely hearing the river, with a beautiful view from the porch. Cabin was small but had all we needed. Clean and close to the SMN park or many things to do and see.

Very relaxing stay in a peaceful setting. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Bonus was a huge bull elk that grazed across the street from the cabin. If we ever make it back to Cherokee, this will be our destination.

We stayed here 9/24/23-9/30/23 Great cabin , exactly as described in the listing. Very clean with most everything you may need. Only item we did need was a lighter to light the grill. With the convenient location it was a quick drive to pick one up. Grocery store and fast food not too far also. Of course we loved the back porch over looking the River. Very pleasant, just wished I would have brought binoculars to check out all the birds!
