Okay but wouldn’t stay again

Good location - easily walkable to the centre and only 10 minutes to the other beach. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place has plenty of spots to unwind and relax. Some weed plantations too. Good vibes around the place overall.

Sadly despite booking a private double room, it didn’t quite feel private as there was only a thing wall of wood separating is from the other room - we could hear everything (same with the door). The size of the room was also super tiny - almost couldn’t fit 2 people in there unless laying in bed. The stairs to get to the room are super steep and small - forget about bringing heavy stuff up and be midnful of your weight. Also, the mesh material provided against mosquitoes for the bed is basically a joke - full of holes and not really attched to the ceiling so plenty of mosquitoes around. Definitely overpriced for what the place offers, for the same price you couldn get a nicer accomodation around. Luckily I had a genius discount but almost £50 for it is a joke.

Un hostel incroyable dans un endroit magique

Le lieu est tout d’abord magique, à deux minutes de la mer. Un peu éloigné du centre ville, il y règne un calme très apaisant. Plein de coins à l’extérieur permette de se reposer ou discuter. Toutes les personnes y travaillant étaient super et font tout leur possible pour que le séjour de tous se passe au mieux. Un endroit plein de musique, de nature, coupé du monde avec un restaurant vegan excellent. Petit bonus: les colibris, les fleurs et les hamacs (très pratique pour se reposer). Merci pour tout, ces cinq jours étaient super! :)

Cabo Polonio é incrível!

O Alejo nos recebeu super bem. A noite tocou violão e cantou (ele canta super bem!!!!). Ficamos no quarto de casal privado, que é bem apertado e com teto inclinado. Para subir a escada pode ser um pouco complicado pra quem tiver alguma dificuldade de locomoção, além disso o banheiro fica embaixo. O chuveiro tinha água quente. O local é meio confuso, mas o pessoal que trabalha lá foi bem gentil. A parte externa é adorável e linda! O terraço é apenas o piso e cadeiras, mas a noite ver o céu todo estrelado vale super a pena. De dia dá pra ver a praia. A localização é boa, até pq Cabo Polonio é bem pequeno, então pra andar para o ponto de ônibus, praia, ver os lobos, é tudo meio perto.

Un rinconcito mágico en el Cabo

Un lugar muy acogedor, con una energía muy linda. Se siente como estar en familia. Está a pasitos de la Playa Norte y es muy facil llegar al Centro. Las personas que trabajan allí son muy amables. Lo recomiendo y seguramente volveré.

No volvería.

El principal punto positivo es la ubicación cerca de la terminal y de las playas. La cocina es satisfactoria y el lugar tiene su encanto, a pesar de las habitaciones extremadamente estrechas y de la falta de estructura para organizarse. Además me gustaría destacar a las voluntarias argentinas que estaban trabajando allí en ese momento y que son sumamente amables. Apenas.

No volvería a este lugar. Durante mi estancia ocurrió una situación curiosa. El administrador me cobró un importe superior a lo previsto en Booking (¿Cómo puede la persona que trabaja en el espacio equivocarse con la tarifa diaria?). Impugné y pagué la cantidad preestablecida. Cuando me devolvió el cambio dijo que no tenía efectivo y me dio un billete de 100 pesos y otro de 5 dólares, cuando se suponía que me debía devolver 400 pesos uruguayos. Teniendo en cuenta que Cabo Polônio es un lugar rústico y caro, con poca aceptación de tarjetas de crédito, todo el dinero en efectivo es bienvenido. Y al fin y al cabo el hostel estaba lleno, ¿cómo no ibas a tener cambio, ya que sólo acepta pago en efectivo? Sólo después del incidente me di cuenta de cuánto me estaba perdiendo. Pensé que al día siguiente me "pagaría". No dije nada y preferí no enfadarme. Mala actitud por parte del establecimiento. Además, hay pocos baños para la cantidad de personas alojadas. Cuando estuve allí, el baño externo, que está en una zona con mucho viento frío por la noche, tenía el pestillo de la puerta roto, lo que impedía cerrar.

La calidad humana de toda la gente que me recibió, el lugar lleno de rinconcitos rodeados de árboles y plantas, se nota el amor con el que se fue haciendo y eso hace que uno se sienta en casa. La playa a unos pasos, los corvinos y su mística. Me sentí en familia. Gracias a todos! Volveré

Liebevoller und Herzlicher Ort zum Entspannen mit Meerblick

Super freundliche Begrüßung, wir wurden gleich sehr warm und herzlich empfangen und es wurde uns alles gezeigt. Es ist klein und gemütlich und es ist alles da was man benötigt. Das Frühstück und Abendessen vor Ort waren super lecker und mit Liebe zubereitet. Man ist in 2 min vom Hostel am Nord-Strand. Traumhaft.

Thomas, Ale and Ajo's hospitality makes you feel at home. Great location, where the beach is an extension of the backyard. Room is small but the beds are very confortable. Get prepared for meaningful discussion, music, singing, laughs and campfire.

Really special spot. Right next to the beach, 2 minute walk from the center. The staff are so kind and attentive - an amazing welcome. Lots of gorgeous nights around the fire. And they keep everything super clean. I hope we can come back some day, thanks for everything!!

Rooms are a bit cramped but there are so many nice comfy common areas, you won't stay in your room for long.

Very good

Perfect place to relax and disconnect, just next to the beach. The atmosphere was exceptional and all the people I met during my stay were so friendly and welcoming. Shared great time with both staff and travelers, making fires at night, eating and drinking together... Definitely an experience I recommend!

Do not come to this hostel (or any other in Cabo Polonio I think) if you look for high standards of comfort, as this is the price to pay for being away from 'civilization'. Do not expect to have where to charge your phone in the room (but staff will do it for you when asked), any security locker or strong water pressure when taking a shower. But staff will be always willing to help with anything you need!
