About this apartment rental

Great vacation spot! This cozy eclectic apartment is a three-minute walk from the charming village of Walloon Lake with its shopping, beach, and restaurants. This space comes with a full kitchen and workspace. Situated on a quiet street. It is an ideal spot for two, however, there is a sleeper in the living room to accommodate two little ones. Our apartment is 12 minutes from Petoskey's gas light district, Boyne Mountain's skiing/waterpark, or Boyne City's popular farmer's market.

The space
Our rental is found in an attractive ranch-style apartment building. There is an on-site laundry room located in the central hallway of the apartments.
In bedroom the offer a queen-size bed, desk, and closet with an oscillating fan. The unit includes a full kitchen with a dining room table for four. The living room has Roku T.V., WiFi, and a ceiling fan. We have a large parking area if you are bringing a boat or a trailer.

Great location. Walking distance to downtown Waloon. Heather upgraded us to a unit with a/c . It was a 90 degree plus weekend and the unit we had initally didnt have air. Really I didnt even think to look for air, I just assummed all homes would have it. Next time I will be more careful. Nice of Healther to upgrade us for free.

The apartment had everything we needed! It is very nicely furnished and very clean! Location was great! Met in Boyne City for dinner with relatives and had a wonderful day at Mackinac Island the next day. We were in Apartment 9 which is in the back side of the units. It would have been helpful to know there was a back side in the instructions. It took us a bit to figure that out.

The property was perfect for us. We would have liked an air conditioner, but the available fans sufficed. Heather was so welcoming and responsive! Were we to sell our home and to move into senior housing, this would be the type of place we would want. Thank you, Heather!

Our stay was relaxing as it is in a very quite area and we’re able to enjoy sitting on the deck. The only recommendation is new deck chairs as the blue paint comes off on your clothes. Would definitely come back.

Very close to Boyne Valley Vineyards. Pleasant stay and quiet area. We enjoyed Boyne City and Petoskey. We will definitely be back to stay.

I traveled alone as I was staying in town for work. I got a heck of a deal here. This was the cleanest place I'd ever stayed. I have worked out of town for 12 or 13 years. I've seen and dealt with a lot of great folks. (Poor ones as well). This was the best experience I have had to memory. The host was quick to reply to text messages. The place was absolutely spotless. Had towels, cleaning supplies, great appliances, no smoke smells or odors (smelled clean if anything), private access with key code and parking right out the front door. This place could not be beat. I would add "for the price" which- it was. But I don't want to infer that at a budget, this was a good place to stay. On ANY budget, this place was clean and immaculate and private. I had a great stay and will definitely choose this place for lodging if I'm ever back in that neck of the woods.

The location is great. We walked to a restaurant and grocery store. We spent a day skiing at Nubs Nob. We had a great time. The price is comparable to a hotel, but you get more room and a kitchen. We will definitely use the place again.

The apartment was pretty easy to get to and in a decent enough location. The apartment itself was very cozy and the furniture was comfortable. I was thrown off by all of the religious decoration that covered the home, but to each their own.

Comfortable little apartment! Leather recliner is lovely, and the sofa is very cushy yet firm. Very quiet neighborhood, and you can park right in front of the apartment door so unloading luggage is easy. Overhead fan in living room does a pretty good job of keeping cool, and there's a fan in the bedroom too. Convenient location just a few miles south of Petoskey, which is less than ten minutes drive.

Overall a sweet place, the only issue was the shower…it would not have a steady control temperature…a couple of times it got hot very fast or cold very fast…and it was not because someone in the house was using a faucet.

Very clean and affordable space! Also very quiet. It is just as advertised. A very close drive or a pretty close walk to Walloon Lake. Owners were helpful and communicative. We will stay here again. One tip: Cell service around Walloon Lake can be spotty - so just screen shot all check in instructions when you have good service before going. I could not get the Vrbo site to load to see my messages to check in, so I called the owner and she was very helpful. Wifi in the unit was great. We had a battery issue with the door lock, but the owner's husband fixed it. It now has a new lock and worked fine the rest of our stay. It was a little warm in the unit, no A/C, but there are fans and you have a couple of screened windows you can open.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for a wedding on Walloon Lake and it was perfect for us. It was clean and well-stocked and Heather was super responsive and kind. The laundry is practically right next door, but just make sure to have coins. We wanted to do a load before leaving, but had a hard time finding a place that had change for us. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Cozy little apartment, close to town! Everything was clean and as described. Getting there was a little difficult as the instructions in the listing say to turn at State Street which is across from a Marathon. The street was a little hard to find as it’s a smaller street and we were looking for the gas station. There is no gas station there. So we had to do some turning around. And the wifi password was incorrect in the app, so just some minor frustrations. There is no air conditioning and the apartment was very hot. There was a nice fan, and we had the door and window open. Still it was much hotter inside than out. Everyone else staying in the complex also had there door open, so it seems to be a building issue that it’s very humid inside and warm.

We loved the location. The apartment is within walking distance of Barrel Back restaurant and the beach. The sunset on Walloon Lake is stunning! Wifi is great (we had to work a little bit) and the space is much bigger than expected! It was nice not needing to drive everywhere and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend!
