About this house rental
What is different about this vacation rental than the many others in Tan Tar A Estates? First of all, this Lake view is sure to be the most impressive Lake View you have/will see(n) at the Lake of the Ozarks. The rails are glass so that nothing blocks the breathtaking view, you will feel like the boats are driving under you as they pass by! The decks are safe and sealed off so kids and pets are perfectly safe. The view from inside the living room tops almost every other view in Tan Tar A, so you can sit in the air conditioning and enjoy the lake view. The upper-level sun deck has an 8-mile view, chaise lounges, and a protective metal railing all around.
The next impressive feature is that it is the only rental house in this section of the estates. This is from a recent 5 star review "The house itself was tucked away in a quieter part of Tan-Tar-A, so it felt very private and peaceful, and was really the perfect mix of being close to things but also not too busy right by us! Amazing amazing amazing!!" You won't have to worry about being bothered by a noisy neighbor or out of control party next door. Many vacation rentals are located right next to, or are between multiple other vacation rentals. The neighbors here are full time residents and are very welcoming. There are no steps from parking to the first level, there is no reason for elderly, limited mobility, or small children people to have to go upstairs, this is a main level living home.
The third feature that makes this home different is the boat slip in the calm, safe, protected harbor with a minute walk away from the house. A boat dock on the main channel is virtually worthless in the summer because of the main channel rough water. The picture may show a glass like lake and a boat dock, but a main channel dock is not a safe environment for anyone, children especially. Our boat slip in always calm, smooth, and a great place to access the lake. The Large cove is safe for children to canoe, kayak, fish and swim. The golf cart makes the trip to the dock a fun experience and makes it easy to haul coolers and gear.
The final feature of this house is something harder to put into words, but this home has a "warm" feeling that will make your vacation truly relaxing. The home feels very private, you will love how everyone can spread out and relax. From a recent 5 star review "It would be perfect for a family trip as well, especially for multiple families or larger groups! Lots of space and bedrooms/bathrooms, so it never felt like we were right on top of each other. The main areas were very open and spacious, so plenty of room for us all to hang out together inside or outside. We literally used it all! " The wood sunroom is a perfect place to read a book and enjoy your morning coffee. The kitchen has Italian tile counters and all new brilliant white appliances with a double wall over for large meals and opens to a truly massive dining room table. There is a small dining table in the kitchen as well. The living room has an electric fireplace and a large section sofa for movie nights.
4 of the rooms have king beds, we also have rollaway bedding, and a sleeper sofa. The upstairs master has a great view and a private bath with a jetted tub. The other room has 2 full over full bunk beds and it's own private 3/4 bath. The downstairs master has a no step shower for those that may need it.
The hot tub is totally private, no one can see in but you still have a Lake view. It has been rumored that some might have chosen to go bathing suit optional at times! A 4 seater golf cart is included with the home rental. You can always rent a boat at Tan Tar A marina as well as personal water craft, parasailing, etc.
Margaritaville has so many entertaining options now, it is truly a great place to hang out. You are welcome anywhere on the property, the outdoor pools and waterslide are free to all, and you can enjoy drinks and appetizers at all of them. The indoor water park, the indoor pool, horseback riding, golf, mini-golf, and spa are all reasonably priced.
Pet-friendly (non-refundable deposit) with small doggie doors
IMPORTANT: Parking is limited at most Tan Tar A estates homes. This particular home has parking for 4 in the driveway and 2 in the garage. Most other homes are lucky to have 2 spots. If your group has more cars, you may use the overflow parking just down the street at the West End Pool. We provide a golf cart for this home rental so you may shuttle back and forth as needed.
The great thing about having the resort just a short golf cart drive away is you can use it's amenities as much or as little as you like. I like to go to the large waterfront tiki bar and watch people at the pool and the kids enjoying the waterslide, all at no extra charge. I can sit in the shade while watching sports on the TV, and ordering drinks and food. There are restrooms right there as well as a great view of the Lake. The other waterfront option is Landshark, it is a blast and has a pool for kids and pool for grownups as well as a large sandy beach. If you are adventurous you can rent a boat for the day and explore some of the famous waterfront establishments that make the Lake of the Ozarks so unique. Redhead yacht Club, Shorty Pants, Paradise on the Lake, Captain Ron's, Dog Days, and don't forget Backwater Jack's. They are all are a short boat ride away. I can even recommend a few local places that we like to keep secret. There is parasailing, kayaks, paddle boards, all right there for rent.
Tan-Tar-A is an amazing resort located on 420 scenic acres, is built for fun family recreation. Tee off on two championship golf courses, built for players of all skill levels. There are eight restaurants from fast food to fine dining and seafood. Escape and relax at the Windjammer Spa, a relaxing massage sounds nice, right? Try my favorite, the "Pure Luxury" package that includes a Manicure, Pedicure, 1 Hour Facial, Detox Whirlpool, Sea Salt Glow, Full Body Paraffin Wrap (4 hours).
If it rains, go to Jolly Mon Indoor Water Park. It has over 600 feet of water slides, an over-sized whirlpool, and a lazy river for tubing, activity pool, and floating. There is a three-story wilderness tree house with slides, water blasters, bridges, tunnels, and a safe and fun 600-gallon tipping bucket! You can also go bowling at the resort, the bowling alley has 8 lanes, 4 of which are set up for bumper bowling. 3 dollars to bowl!
The Fin City arcade is state of the art and you can exchange tickets for prizes. When the rain stops, go horseback riding or head to the full-service marina for everything from paddle boarding to PWCs, even rent a boat for the day! (extra fees apply)
The area has many wineries, every dining option you could ask for, amazing fishing, outlet shopping, many natural attractions like 2 state parks and multiple caves to explore. The new kid friendly 4 level ropes course on the strip looks really fun. You can float rivers, rent powerboats, take a dinner cruise, there is even a casino 80 miles away for a day trip.
The new dining options at Margaritaville are plentiful and include Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria & Billiards too (formerly The Food Court), with 12 beers on tap including Landshark, a simple menu of pizza, wings, sandwiches, and salads, six pool tables, two dart boards, shuffleboard, pinball, and arcade games. There will be a Tiki Bar at the Arrowhead Pool as another taste of Margaritaville’s tropical feel is added this year. The large JB's Boathouse will have a new nautical theme, with bright blues and crisp whites and will offer 12 beers on tap, featuring LandShark Lager, local brews, and the classic favorites. JB's Boathouse Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Within a mile are 2 fantastic waterfront dining options at Redhead Yacht Club and Short Pants Cajun restaurant. Osage Beach has many awesome waterfront dining options such as Dog Days, Backwater Jacks, and Millers Landing.
Our property uses a streamlined check-in process, which means you’ll never need to waste time trying to meet up with someone to get your keys. Just follow the easy instructions we will send you 4 days before your arrival.
NOTE There will be no Frat parties, bachelor parties, or any excessive noise/beer pong/underage drinking allowed at this home. There is ring doorbell on this home and if there is a noise complaint or the police are called you will be asked to leave with no refund on your stay. If you want to party and trash a place, rent from the resort, they don't care what do. It will not be tolerated at this property and you will pay a hefty fine and repairs for any damages.

We enjoyed our stay immensely at this lovely property.
Each day started off with a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the serene lake. The accommodations were superb, well equipped and nicely decorated and plenty of parking is available. Our group consisted of 4 couples and each couple had a lovely bedroom and bath. John is the best host!

This house was exactly what we needed for our girls weekend. Beautiful views, enough rooms for a large group, Great Lake access (had our chartered boat pick us up at their private slip). Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful set up for our family trip of 4 children and 8 adults. Nice location. Spacious. Plenty of household supplies and kitchen is well stocked. Well decorated but the smallest bedroom upstairs needs some attention to replace or remove items that are out of order.

Not only is the property beautiful & it has so much to offer. They give you fishing poles, paddle boards, golf cart, & so much more! We will be coming back next year

Nice location with great view overlooking lake. The owner was very gracious and helpful.Children especially enjoyed the hot tub. Golf cart was also nice to have to get to the pool. Only drawback was the dock accessibility (a long stairway) and no ladder to get on the dock from swimming.

This lakeside property had a beautiful view. The home does need some updating (problem with the refrigerator freezer, the bbq grill was not clean, and It had less beds than when we had first booked this reservation. Tan Tar A Estates is a beautiful area in Osage Beach to spend a vacation.

We had a very relaxing time! The house was fantastic with a spectacular view. We had a blast and everyone loved the space!! We would definitely return. Thanks so much.

The house is a little run down and could definitely use a deep clean. There is not sufficient kitchen supplies for the amount of people the house accommodates and many of the chairs on the deck are broken. However, the location and amenities make this house desirable!

Location great but house needs some updates.
Nice to have enough space for all to dine together.
Hot tub was awesome and the Christmas decorations were a nice addition.
Double bunks were very noisy and a little scary!
Over all great stay!

Lake of the Ozark's is beautiful in the Fall… and our trip did not disappoint.
Our Host was responsive and the home was perfect for our Cousins Getaway. We rented a boat and enjoyed seeing the shoreline from the water. So many things to do, that we have a list for the return-visit next year!

Property was just as described. The home and the neighborhood is lovely. My college friends and I have gotten together every year for decades. This property is our favorite so far. The view is unbelievable! Whoever decorated has wonderful taste and attention to detail. We did not use the golf cart because there were six of us that fit in a minivan. We did not want to leave anyone out… Wow, the owner is so generous to include that use with their home. We went to Driftwood spa and had a great time there. Our thanks to the owner(s) for the wonderful memories we made in their lovely home.

This house is the best for multi family members, enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. Clean clean clean and the view from the decks is like no other. Will be coming back again next time!

Great location near Osage Beach. Great views from the decks. Lots of space to hang out. Loved the hot tub and spa bath overlooking the lake. Nice to have access to the community pool and a short ride to it on the golf cart - very handy. Deck railing needs to be fixed/replaced - very loose in spots - felt unsafe. Leftover food in pantry needs to be disposed of. Kitchen dishes, cookware, and utensils seemed a little hodge podge - could use some sorting/replacing. Would recommend for a family looking to be close to lake activities and having a nice place to hang during down time.

The view was gorgeous. Pretty sunsets. Lots of room for us to spread out. Inside of house was comfortable and decorated well. Found just about everything we needed to cook our meals but not enough bath towels. Golf cart was great to have and hot tub was added bonus.

My family fell in love with this home and the lake views. This home is huge, plenty of room for everyone. It's beautifully decorated and the views of the lake are breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was great for relaxing. The decks were great to watch the boats and the sunsets were just amazing. Using the golf cart was perfect for exploring and a short ride to the resort. John the owner was very nice and accommodating. I didn't want to leave and I highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting to relax at the lake. Can't wait to go back.

Great Lake Views
Property offers awesome lake views and very adequate bedroom/bath space.
Owner/Manager communication was very good and we appreciated the early check-In availability.
Property was more than spacious for our party of 4 offering each of us privacy when we wanted it and decent gathering space on common areas. .
The only considerations I might offer is that the TV service/ was a basically zero and that was unfortunate considering it was March Madness season. Although the property was very clean and was adequate for our needs, it is rather dated in design and the updates that have been performed don’t boast quality craftsmanship.
Proximity to Tan Tar A is excellent. All in all, we were satisfied our stay albeit we expected a bit more considering the rate.

Outdated home but beautiful view
Loved the view from my bedroom. Very relaxing. I didn’t have to reach out to the owner for questions because everything about the home was explained in the email sent days before my trip. The home is outdated. There are areas in the house that seem like it’s going under construction because there were a lot of residues/waste that were left there. There were random things in the bathroom drawers that were just thrown in there to be tucked away. The water pressures in the showers were really unbalanced. I believe they forgot to check the pull-out beds during the previous cleaning because there were red unpleasant looking stains on the covers. I like all the decors and accents done to the home but in my opinion are unnecessary. They should have focused more on the appliances that were falling apart. Overall, we did have a comfortable stay.

Everything we were looking for!
We stayed Mid-March for Spring Break. We were a party of 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, beautifully decorated, and all the rooms are very large and roomy. The view from both back decks are breathtaking. The hot tub, golf cart, and doggie door/outdoor space were bonus amenities that were used constantly. We loved being a golf cart away to Margaritaville and used the spa, restaurants, arcade, and indoor water park there. We also played board games from the closet in the evenings. We would definitely rent this home again and hated packing up to leave.
The only negative is the mattress in the upstairs master bedroom. It is so hard it feels like you’re sleeping on the floor. Thankfully we had an extra bedroom so my husband and I moved to the lower master bedroom after the first night.

Perfect Getaway!
Our family needed a getaway and we were searching for great views, this house was perfect for it! 4 Days and Us 4 had a blast, and enjoyed every minute of it! The hot tub was an added bonus! The owners were so awesome and easy to work with. Not a negative thing to say about our stay! Thank you so much for a great time!

We really enjoyed our stay. Manager was very responsive when we needed a new lighter for the bbq pit and arrived with a new one in just a few minutes.

Expected better.
View off the balcony was excellent. Hot tub was a nice amenity. Beds were terrible and many things were out dated. It felt like the owners didn’t take pride in there house, like it’s just a cash producer. Kitchen lacked quality everything. Bring your own coffee maker. None of the 5 there worked properly.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. For me, the cons outweighed the pros. The views are pretty but every single window is completely covered in cobwebs and spiders. They clearly never have anyone clean the windows and it's not pleasant to look at this from every window. The kitchen is also in bad shape. It's dirty and hard to find things. All the silverware, cups, and plates are mismatched, feel dirty, and are old. Pots and pans were limited and super old. Dining table is old and tired. One oven was broken with a missing door. There were no hotpads. Countertop tile feels old and dirty. Grill on the deck was pretty dirty as were patio umbrellas. Have to set those up yourself and they are covered in spiders, cobwebs, and wasps. There's a closed in area for dogs to use the bathroom but it is very unsafe. It's unleveled with tripping hazards everywhere. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and decorated nicely as was living room. This place is probably ok for college getaway or bachelor parties but wouldn't recommend for families who have standards of a clean, well kept place as this is not that. Look elsewhere if the kitchen and views and important to you.
