About this house rental
We are not near the beach, we are ON THE BEACH! Don't rent a dated beach house many miles away from everything wonderful Galveston has to offer. This beach house is located close enough to town yet far enough to enjoy the peacefulness of the ocean.
Want to share the rental with another family? You will not be fighting over who gets the best master bedroom...there are two master bedrooms! There is ultimate privacy as each level, connected by an outdoor staircase, boasts its own living area. The beds are heavenly, the sitting areas spectacular, and the view...breathtaking.
Don't like the sand? Send your kids to the beach while you sit on the deck drinking margaritas and view them from your throne. There are four lifeguard chairs and an outdoor table with chairs on the deck. The beach is literally steps away.
Like to BBQ? Grill from the privacy of your own deck with amazing views of the ocean.
Like to fish? No worries ... many ... many ... many fish have been caught just steps away from this house! Who needs a pier?

The White House really needs updating, the lower floor had an bad odor of Mildew which was probably caused from the hurricane. There were NO Closets and only one bedroom (upstairs) had drawers to put our things in. Also you can not enter upstairs area without going outside up the stairs.
The kitchen lights would blink and dim when we turned the water on. The outside had trash and debris in the yard. The house was not that clean either. The Location was Great and it was like having your own beach. There was six of us ladies and although we were disappointed in the house, We made the Best of it and Enjoyed our time in Galveston.

First, the owner was great at communicating and check in easy. We didn’t lack for any utensils nor basic kitchen/bathroom needs.
We couldn’t get pass the dirtiness of the house. The dirtiness was due to the upkeep of the property not lack of housekeeping.
There were gaps in floor/wall seams with bugs entering (ants, cockroaches, pincher bugs), floor boards warped, downstairs room smelled like mold in spite of me using aroma scents, the tile in the downstairs shower had dirty grout that I wouldn’t step in without sandals or water shoes, and the balcony floor boards were coming apart and stairs are worn to the point I skipped one or two as they looked like they would fall through.
I understand that this is a beach property and Beryl had just come through but these specific items have been there for awhile except maybe the downstairs moldy smell. Also when we pulled up there was rust at all of the bolt points of the frame etc.
I really wanted to like this place as we had been looking forward to this trip and the owner was quick to send someone out to fix a hole in the wall and offered to bring in a third dehumidifier but it was just not a place I wanted to walk around in bare feet nor reach my hand under a sofa to retrieve something. On top of this the price didn’t match the quality.
I know others have 10/10 and then stated that it needs work. I just can’t do this. We did purchase a hose as the one there was missing an attachment and mat for the entry way.

Place is in a perfect place but oh my needs a lot of up keep, floor tile, walls, bathroom bath tub and soon the owner will need to fix place. The bottom floor smells like pesticide!! It smells for the whole time we were there.

The house was a great size for our family of 12. The kitchen is on the upstairs level and the stairs are outside. So it was like 2 houses in one, which worked out for the people who wanted to stay up late and the ones who wanted to go to bed early. The location is the best part being right on the beach. We will stay here again when we come back to Galveston.

Wonderful to sit on the upper deck and watch and hear the ocean. The house was very clean, but needed some work on the electrical outlets. One outlet stopped working after the second night and sometimes the lights would flicker when the dishwasher went on. Overall a very enjoyable stay and beautiful ocean view.

We had 2 families staying for a week during spring break and we caught a rainy week so we spent more time inside the house than we would have expected. The house has everything you need, and lots of furniture to spread out in the living room, and the separate living area downstairs lets you have further privacy. This is our third stay at Bermuda beach and we love this strip of beach because it’s so quiet and never crowded. The hosts are extremely kind, with very quick and detailed communication. The outdoor shower was so nice to have. We’d definitely return!

Our group was 2 adults and 10 teens. The layout of the house was perfect for teens to feel independent of the adults with their own space (the entire downstairs) and gave some respite to the chaperoning adults! The main floor had enough seating for everyone. The kitchen was on the smaller side, yet completely functional. When the property states "on the beach," they mean, "ON THE BEACH." The entrance to the public beach was 20 or so steps from the driveway. The deck was as great as pictured, with plenty of nice seating to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The neighbors seemed super nice as well and even offered some shovels to the kids who were on the beach for the day. All around a great stay. The parents and kids all had fun -- lots of great memories made. I would definitely stay at this property again. Thank you Eric R. for your responsiveness!

What a great property! Right on the beach with accommodations that fit just right for us. Half our time there it was just the two of us, half the time we had family come down from Houston. The lower level had three double beds and a bath with privacy. Upstairs two bedrooms with access for those downstairs by outside stairs. Nice kitchen, and Eric was responsive to any needs. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Eric was incredibly resourceful and very communicative. The home is in need of some tlc in a few spots but you cannot beat the location. When they say beachfront they mean BEACHFRONT! 4 rooms (2 up and 2 down) and a bathroom on each floor (not in any room so easy access when sharing the home) which hosted our 8 adults comfortably. Kitchen was stocked with everything we could think of and there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, and soap to cover 8 adults for a 3 day weekend. There was plenty of seating options both up and down and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Honestly my only criticisms were the cleanliness and outdoor shower. I know its an outdoor shower but its in serious need of some repair. Youre expected to use it so as not to track sand inside but there was no way I was using it so I just brushed the sand off my feet with a towel. Also the house was not clean upon arrival. Now this is not on the owner as I know they outsource the cleaning but it should be addressed. The sheets in the upstairs master had stains, there was a yellow ball (maybe dog toy) behind the bed with some candy wrappers indicating that it had not been well swept, the kitchen floor had not been swept, athrooms mirrors had finger prints and soap scum in them, upstairs bathroom had hairs in the shower, and we had to re-wash several pans as they were put away dirty. We also noticed that the a/c vents might need changed or cleaned because each wall near the a/c vents had dust and dirt on them. It blows into the rooms when the a/c is on and then because of the humidity it sticks to the walls. Unfortunately when the air then cools or dries it falls onto the beds and furniture. We arrived 20 minutes before checkin but waited outside to make sure no one was still cleaning so our early arrival did not prohibit the things above. It just felt like a rushed job and for $400 per night basic cleanliness is expected. If you can get the cleaning crew to take better care of your home then you really do have the best house on the seawall.

The house fit out needs for this short vacation away. We had plenty of space for everyone. The deck and view are amazing. Access to the beach was spot-on. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Great place to bring my dogs for their first beach experience.

Great location with no vehicles allowed on the beach. The views from the house were beautiful. The beach was clean and not crowded. We had some issues with the WiFi and other items but Eric the owner was prompt to respond and sent the property manager to come and fix the issues promptly. We enjoyed our stay and our fur babies loved the beach. As a bonus the house comes with a Keurig and had everything we needed to cook our meals.

This home is absolutely beautiful. Front row on the beach. Just steps away from the beautiful white beach. Amazing upper deck. All the amenities you need. We had 5 children and 5 adults and we had more than enough space. Sleeping downstairs and upstairs. The kids had their pick where to sleep. Plenty of toys for the beach and plenty of games in the house. Well worth the price. House host was quick to respond to any questions.

The view alone made this house amazing! Literally 30 steps and your toes are in the sand! The bottom floor is not accessible from the top floor (only outside) which we were t expecting but honestly not an inconvenience at all. The outdoor shower was a great plus after spending the day at the beach. Beds were comfy and plenty seating for everyone. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful house! Our family had an amazing time here. Amazing location and such a great set up! We loved the outdoor shower. The house was very baby and kid friendly! The house had all the essentials we needed. There’s something special about waking up and seeing the beach out of the huge beautiful windows! The best part was the outside. The balcony has these huge chairs and a picnic table, we spent most of our time there and on the beach! Thank you for an amazing family vacation in this beautiful house!

We had a nice stay here over my kids February break from school. It is not clear in the listing that the only staircase is outside. It ended up being fine for our group, with the youngest kiddo being 7. Pros of this home: LOCATION! Couldn’t be better. At high tide the water is 100 yards from the porch. You can sit on the deck and watch your children play. There is plenty of seating outside to enjoy the view. The beach itself is great. Very private. We took nice walks and loved that it was dog friendly. Beds and couches were comfortable. Great dining room and breakfast bar. Cute beachy decor. Also loved having our dogs with us. Cons of this home: Overall could be better maintained. Screens on sliding doors were ripped. There were no screens on any of the windows so you couldn’t enjoy the sounds of the ocean without bugs coming in. The kitchen equipment was lacking. The pots and pans need to be replaced and some basic needs were missing like a cutting board. The bathrooms are small and need some updating. Even small things like new shower curtains would help with the overall cleanliness of the bathroom. The beds downstairs are all double beds even though the listing says a queen is in the bedroom. The floors downstairs were not finished with gaps at the wall edge. There was a lot of rust on the exterior of the home which is understandable because of the oceans proximity but the appliances in the kitchen also had rust. The grill was not in great condition either.
